We stayed here to attend a vintage car gathering in nearby Dillard. It was perfect for our needs with good parking for our car trailer. The cabin itself was clean and spacious. Great place!

Overall, the property was great. Location was perfect with a view from the balcony overlooking the golf course and church. Short drive or walk to the country club for a round of golf or a dip in the pool. The community gym could use some upgrades, but overall a great place to stay. Short drive to Highlands, NC, Franklin, or Clayton.

Well-maintained cottage close to center of Sky Valley community perched halfway up a hill. Excellent East and SE exposure with good sun - especially in the AM. Generous deck with grill and fire pit (we didn’t use either). Cottage (kitchen, especially) might feel a little small for a full house (3 BRs) but fine for two of us. Sadly, a day ahead of time they advised the gas fireplace wasn’t working and they didn’t get it fixed before we left; (no reason to believe that such problems are characteristic as everything else is in excellent condition). We could have used it as this is Feb. WiFi, etc. all good. Stayed a little over a week and would do it again.

Spent five days after Christmas. It was a busy season and this house and location provided rest and refreshment. We were able to chill out, walk, visit the waterfall and see family who live nearby.

My family (2 parents, 2 older teens, 1 dog) rented the Lazy Bear as our home base for a long mountain weekend. The house was perfect for our needs -- parents had the master on the main level and the teens enjoyed having their own rooms on the first floor. There was plenty of space for us to gather around the fireplace to play games. The kitchen is small, but equipped with the necessities to prep family meals. The house is in a quiet neighborhood (the bells chiming from the chapel was so lovely!) with an easy waterfall hike right down the road! From Sky Valley we visited Clayton, GA, Tallullah Falls State Park, Black Rock Mountain State Park, Highlands, NC and several waterfalls in the area -- Glen Falls and Dry Falls are memorable hikes! The property manager called prior to check-in to provide information about the area and ensure all of our questions were answered. We would definitely consider this home again!

The house and property are exactly as pictured! My husband and I and our two large dogs stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, the bathrooms and kitchen were well-stocked, making it easy to stay in when we wanted a quiet day "at home." The views from the house are gorgeous (even after all the leaves have fallen), and the property manager Mark was very welcoming and easy to talk to. It's easy to get to great hiking and waterfalls as well as to Dillard and Clayton in GA, and to the Highlands in NC for great shopping, eating, and wineries. We absolutely love this area, and the house was perfect for our November vacation.

My wife and our infant son stayed for the week to relax in the mountains and watch the change of fall colors. The home has beautiful views of the mountains. The deck with large gas grill was a big bonus. Nearby trails are great and if you're looking for a scenic getaway this is a perfect place to stay. There is a chapel in the center of the valley that chimes every half hour, it is peaceful from this house, but something to consider if staying any closer to the chapel.

Perfect for our family!
My husband and I, along with our 3 boys, just stayed here for 4 nights and it was just perfect for us! Great location for all the attractions we were doing, very comfortable rooms and living area, great neighborhood, beautiful views of a church steeple with the mountains in the background, and we loved hearing the church bells ring every day! It was a quick walk to the pool and tennis courts, and about half a mile walk to Mud Creek Falls. We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning again one day!

This was the perfect house for our quick trip to N. Georgia. It is clean and has a beautiful view. The clubhouse is within walking distance, although we drove the short distance anyway. Enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub. The floorplan of the house is also great because my room, downstairs, was on the opposite side of the house from where my friend slept above. The kitchen is very small, but we didn't cook, except to heat up an already made casserole, so it was not a problem for us. There is not a sink disposal which was a little bit of a pain, but again, we were there for a short time, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Overall, we were both pleased and would definitely rent this property again!

The cabin was perfect for our family getaway. 6 of us stayed comfortably, pet friendly was a wonderful bonus so we could bring our dog. The beds were very comfy. The cabin was supplied with everything needed for kitchenware, including a Keurig and regular coffeemaker.
The sunrise over the mountains and view from the upper living space was breathtaking, mountains in the background, steeple and rolling fog in the foreground. The church bells toll every 30 minutes.
There is hiking on property, Mud Creek Falls is just beautiful.
I would definitely recommend this cabin and area.

We left the place as we found it because it would be a travesty to despoil such a beautiful location.
