Via email I was told at 4:38 that a maintenance worker would come to change the battery on the chirping smoke detector. No one had come as of 8:05 AM the next morning. The person in the room with the chirping smoke detector had to sleep upstairs with me because it was so loud. -The housekeeper did come. I explained my issue with cleanliness and she assured me that the property was clean. After I started to show her pictures that included, food crusted oven mitts in the drawers, food on the countertops-stove-refrigerator, dirty bath tub, dog hair all over the couch, food and filth on the dining room chairs, she asked in a flippant tone “well, what do you want ME to do?” I asked her to please take care of the biggest concerns: clean the downstairs tub, vacuum the couch to help with the dog hair, and clean the dining table’s chairs. I cleaned the kitchen myself. I asked to have a refund so we could move to new accommodations at 6:30 last night. I was told via email that since they had sent out a housekeeper, they’d “corrected my concern” but would speak to the homeowner regarding my concerns to see if they could do a partial refund amount. When asked what I thought would be fair, I stated one night’s refund. I did make one call and was told that I’d receive a response via email. I asked for a call to speak to someone regarding my concerns, but no one called. I’m not sure if the issue here lies with the homeowner or property management but I’ve never had issues like this before

Not a place to fish at all. Water depth ranges from 18" to 4'. Even very few crabs. Live shrimp lasted for hours on your hook. House has a nice large area under it for entertaining. Great dock front and balconies for peaceful morning coffee. House has lots of space and was perfect for family time and games. Pool table was a hit for every age (but needs some TLC and good tips on the cues). None-the-less we loved it. If you are a more than one towel person best to bring extras. Kitchen only had 2 dish towels and only 1 roll of paper towels. Bedrooms 1 & 3 had not been vacuumed and fridge could have been a bit cleaner. We brought many gallons of drinking water but found the house water was good (often beach drinking water is terrible). All the balconies were great. What a way to relax and get away from the city. Web page says it has a fire pit but it does not. We knew this in advance and brought a Solo fire pit. We do recommend this home for a great family event, except for fishing & crabbing. We would stay again in a heartbeat but fishing at the house is at the top of our annual family trip. Try this beach house, you will enjoy it.

Overall this stay was outstanding. Property is in an awesome location for fishing to load in at Bridge Bait but bring the bug spray because the mosquitoes are no joke in the early morning and at dusk which makes it a little sketchy sitting on the awesome decks or down by the canal during those times. House was clean and comfortable and the fully stocked kitchen made meals a breeze. I would recommend this layout more for a family than 12 guys on fishing trip though because of the bed situation. The diagram and actual pics don’t quite match up as far as how many it sleeps vs. how many actual beds there are when each of us wanted our own bed and not have to share. Upstairs there is a king bed in one room, a triple bunk bed in another and a double bed in the last room. On the main floor there is a toon with two double beds and one room with a queen bed…which is 8 actual beds. Can you sleep more than that? Yes as you can double up in a number of those as well as a futon in the game room and couches downstairs but for those wanting individual beds, it wasn’t the ideal fit. In addition the pool table pictured is in poor shape which was disappointing since it’s one of the reasons we thought it would be fun to stay there. Again, the good far out weighs anything negative and i would certainly stay here again with a family.

We enjoyed waking up and sitting one of the two balconies drinking our coffee as the sun came up. Relaxing watching the hummingbirds zoom by us. The location couldn’t of been better there’s bait houses around the corner .We Got to keep the boat out back and jump in it anytime and be right in the ICW catching fish in 10 minutes. Only complaint was water hose was short and didn’t reach fish cleaning table . But this wouldn’t be a deal breaker. They say parking is for 4 cars but there was plenty of parking for guest .
