Excellent 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome. "Seas the Day" is located in Ocean Gate, just a quick 3 minute walk to a quiet residential beach and near the back gate of Sea Pines. The main floor of this unit features an open dining and living area, updated kitchen stocked with all of your cooking essentials, powder room, and laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Sliders doors offer plenty of natural light and open to the back deck with dining table and grill, just steps from the updated community pool and tennis courts. The bedrooms are both located on the second floor along with a bonus loft space. The owners suite includes a king bed, flat screen TV, and private en suite bath. The guest room offer s a queen and twin bed, flat screen TV, and private bath. Ocean Gate villas consists of 15 villas in a beautiful natural landscaped setting, each with two bedrooms. Some amenities include a very private pool centrally located, as well as one tennis court for owners and guests to use. Ocean Gate is located off of South Forest Beach and is a very short walk to the beach and steps to the Sea Pines South Gate.

The townhouse was exactly as described. It was equipped with every thing you could possibly need. Very comfy and clean.

We were very happy with the condominium. It was everything we expected and more the pool is fantastic the beach path was awesome and a short walk to the beach. The place was clean and well-made and well stocked with linens I recommend it.

Spacious, good location, pool and tennis close, private. Friendly owner/neighbors. Landscaping was beautiful. Well stocked with things you may need. Property could stand to be updated.

Pros:
Beach access, access to shops, restaurants etc.
Restrooms in good condition overall.
Has laundry room.
Nice pool area and deck.
Friendly neighbors.
Price is fair.
Cons:
Property was not very clean. (Beds, linens, couches smelled, and we had to febreze them)
Refrigerator was in poor condition.
Air conditioner was slow to cool the Property even after several days. (Kept doors and windows closed)
Lamps and lighting were very old and not plugged in upon arrival.
Hair dryer broken.
Deck furniture was in really bad shape.
Used the laundry several times, but last time using, it stained all of the whites, including a bunch of the kid's clothing.
We travel to HH or Tybee 2-3 times per year, for business and pleasure. Unfortunately I would not stay again unless it was completely remodeled.
May be ok for singles.
Upstairs a bit dangerous for toddlers as well. Couch is right at the edge of the top floor and if a young one slips away they could fall.
Wish I could give a better rating, but I am fair and honest.

We continue to return to this complex because it's so quiet and relaxing here. The property has been shown a lot of love in the last year and it shows. The once neglected grounds are lovely and just a short walk to the beach.

The place was as described. There are 2 sleeper sofas. We brought our own sheet. The kitchen items were sufficient for our needs. The place was clean and comfortable. The basics were provided ie, dish soap and tabs, laundry pods and a couple of rolls of TP in each bathroom. Ron, the neighbor, was super nice and a wealth of information. Once we found the beach bath, the walk was close and easy (go out the door to the left and look for the path through the vegetation). We had no issues and Cathy was quick to respond to my one email.

HHI visit
Rental was good. Mostly clean. The place does need a thorough deep cleaning but that being said we came at high season so it may be scheduled at the end of high season. Wonderful location, quiet neighborhood and quick walk to the beach. We would book this unit again.

We truly enjoyed our stay! Great location, nice and roomy and very comfortable. Made me feel like I was in a home away from home. True HHI charm!

Needs just a little attention
Property was fine but it needs some attention to details, for instance, the drape over the sliding door is off the track; the lamp in the room with two beds needs a shade and the single bed could use a new mattress (or bed springs?); there were no beach towels, as listed (fortunately we brought our own). There was no internet for the weekend we arrived. Other than that, the rental was fine.

We have stayed several times in Ocean Gate and have always had great experiences, but the property manager for this unit went above and beyond to make things right.
We let them know there wasn’t a grill and the toaster wasn’t working, they brought us both that day! Complete with cooking utensils, a lighter, and charcoal.
Highly recommend.

We visited Hilton Head for a wedding at Sea Pines and this condo was a short 4 minute drive to the wedding, and less than a 2 minute drive to all of the shops/ restaurants. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Arrived to find that the unit had not been cleaned. Used towels and linens piled up on the beds. Worse of all, I could not reach anyone. After several messages I did not receive a call back from anyone. We had to scramble to find a hotel on the island that night. Still no call, no email from anyone for over 3 days later. Not being able to reach anyone is the most egregious part of this experience. I'm assuming I won't be charged for this debacle

The overall stay was good. Great location, property was clean. We wanted to relax and watch movies but the TV in the master did not work. The office did not follow up. No iron, lampshade in bedroom needs to be replaced and the large skillet needs to be replaced it rusty.

Quiet location with good beach access
The unit is a little dated but comfortable. The location has very good access to other parts of the island (Sea Pines, Coligny, William Hilton Parkway). There is a walking trail on the other side of the road for beach access (about a 3-4 minute walk). Our group also enjoyed the community pool and tennis / basketball court on the backside of the property.

When we arrived the place had not been cleaned but they sent someone immediately. We had to find something to do for a little bit, but they did refund the cleaning fees. Overall we had a great experience after that, and the beach is super close once you figure out where the path is!!

Did have some bumps in the road, as it appears this unit had not been rented for a while (missing light bulbs, original door code did not work, random smoke alarm went off, corroded batteries in TV remote) but calls to the property manager were answered quickly and fixed the same day.
Additional renters should have no problem (you're welcome!).

When we secured this unit from VRBO, the intermediary agency kept sending contracts demanding I sign them. These contracts add on all sorts of demands and fees and cancellation policies that are in violation of VRBOs policies. Just don't sign them and ignore all non-VRBO policies and you'll be fine.
