Enjoy relaxing to the sounds of the babbling creek while sipping wine in the hot tub or sitting around the fire pit! Just 10 minutes from the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia. Dog friendly & convenient to local wineries! Huge yard perfect for letting the kids explore. Whether you're visiting the North Georgia mountains for a wedding, winery tours, one of our many festivals like Oktoberfest, admiring the fall leaves, a college graduation, a family vacation, or in hopes of striking it rich while panning for gold, we're certain that our home will be a place of rest and relaxation during your stay. Visit the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia nestled in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the quaint little German town it is today. Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest celebrations! Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are countless hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip. Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more! Our mountain cabin was built in 1997. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a kitchen and dining area. Nearly 1000 sq. ft. of wrap around screened in porches to take in the fresh mountain air and sounds of running water. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, slip into the hot tub with a glass of wine or make s'mores by the camp fire out back. There is a smart doorbell installed by the front door with audio and video recording capabilities for security purposes.

This place is like heaven. Our experience was amazing from booking to check out. The Creekside Cottage was MORE than we expected. Mitch does an amazing job making sure you have a 5 star stay. My wife and I brought our fur babies and they loved it.
We were amazed at how much there is to do on the property. We will definitely stay here again when we are looking for lodging. We felt like they knew what would make us more comfortable during our stay.

From Arrival and check in to our departure the process and communication was impecable. Mitch the Vrbo /owner host made sure to make us feel at home with intial timely communications on the property and surrounding information on the Helen area like restaurants places of interest etcr..the property itself is well mantained and has all the needed ammenities for guests to experience a superb vacation time. Wiith a Fireplace/ whirpool tub and outside Fire Pit..nice surrounding chairs. Including a nice Gas Fire Bbq Grill inside you

We stayed here for 3 nights before Christmas. The cottage comfortably housed 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs (and we still had a spare room). Everything we needed was readily available. If you have plans to go sightseeing, I strongly suggest you save a day to enjoy the property!! The outside area was a dream. You wont want to leave the relaxing creek side. It’s got a huge field to run around with the kids and dogs. There are some fun games and activities to enjoy with the family and a nice fire pit area perfect for snacking on s’mores (or sipping some wine). To top it all off, the host was incredibly welcoming and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!! Thank you so much Mitch!!

Met family at this beautiful property for cookie baking and a day at dahlonega. Property was clean and stocked. We brought our own baking supplies as we were not sure what the kitchen had. After a full day of baking, we enjoyed some time in the hot tub. Fabulous.beds they were very comfortable and we were well rested. All instructions easy to follow in the house manual. Wow! Where do I even begin?! Our family of 8 (including 3 small children) and our dog stayed in this beautiful cabin for an entire week to kick off the holiday spirit in Helen, GA!
A little backstory, My husband spent time growing up in Germany while his father was in the military. It’s safe to say he has been missing it for quite some time now, which led us to the next best thing! Helen! When we heard about Helen’s German style Christmas town and markets, we knew we had to make a family trip out of it!
We arrived at the cabin and were taken back by the gorgeous build and land! It truly looked like a Christmas wonderland. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a gorgeous fully decorated Christmas tree, which added to the wonderland feel. There were also cubbies filled with several different children’s toys and books to use at our disposal. Which was extremely helpful with entertaining the 3 littles on rainy days! The kitchen was equipped with everything we need to cook on the days we weren’t trying a new German restaurant ;). There were also three bedrooms & 2 bathrooms with more than enough room to comfortably sleep all 8 of us and give everyone their needed privacy! The highlight of this stay… the Hot tub and fire pit out back! We spent just about every night outside either warming up by the fire or warming up in hot tub! The best way to cap off our jam packed days exploring North GA! The host was accommodating in every way possible and was a pleasure working with!

This property offers so much! I felt it was very clean & organized. Multiple outdoor entertainment areas…Grill & hot tub deck, great fire pit area, swing at the creek side, screened wrap around porch. Children’s play area & toys…plus child safety latches on kitchen cabinets. The host was very attentive in caring for hot tub & blowing leaves from the entertainment areas so that we could enjoy…also, gave prior notification before stopping by. This was a perfect place for us…plus, it’s so conveniently located to the places we wanted to visit.

Cabin was exactly as described, very comfortable and in a great location to hike the state parks and national forests as well as visit Helen for food, drink and groceries. The yard was nice for the pups and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. It was just 3 adults on this trip but would definitely stay here with my grandkids as the host has supplied plenty of games and activities that would keep them occupied. Communication with host was excellent, keyless entry super easy, information book very helpful!

One of the most important features for us flatlanders: All the roads were paved up to the generous parking area right in front of the cabin. (We have been misled by others in the past) Mitch happened to be there making sure everything was ready. He left us a basket with all needed to prepare s'mores. We received driving directions and the code to cabin several days before our trip along with tips to local attractions/restaurants. The huge porch was screened in and loaded with toys to keep our 4-year-old playing for hours. There are three different sitting areas on the enclosed porch that provides privacy if you need a little privacy or nap time. Our first stop was to the babbling creek on the property. So peaceful and quite the entire four nights we were there. We cooked several meals at the cabin. The cabin is so close to everything we would pop back for lunch and supper. We have stayed in over 8 cabins and the beds here was by far the most comfortable. The furniture in the living/den area was also very comfy with enough seating for our whole group. We enjoyed the hot tub two nights, very relaxing after a busy day. This is a cabin with a home feel. The 11am checkout gave us the option to sleep in a little on our last morning as most have a 10am checkout. Mitch is an excellent host who sincerely wants his guest to have the best stay possible. We will definitely be visiting Creekside Cottage again! We stayed Oct 18th-Oct. 22. Perfect trip.

The house was in amazing condition inside and out! The place was super clean and nice when we first arrived. There were some toys for kids in the house already and the owner even left stuff for my family to make s’mores! It has a huge yard, a small playground, and a little creek in the back, the kids loved it. Super calm and quiet area to relax and enjoy your stay! Loved the place inside out and would definitely recommend staying here.

This is our 2nd stay at this cabin. 2 years ago we came to this cabin with a running creek with our pet & 3 children and they talked about so much we had to rerun this year. I think it will be our go to place. Made such wonderful memories.

We arrived to the property which was easy to find. The house was welcome in and clean. Since I had 4 of my grandkids with me. It was nice to see that the property was very accommodating for them. Easy access to the Attractions! Returning back to the cottage in the evening it was so nice to be able to relax. Listen into the creek,with the hot tub and with mice comfy beds! We cooked out and thanks to the host we had s'more in the fire pit! The kids absolutely loved it! Awesome little cabin to visit and stay in and the host was very accommodating!

Check in/out was a breeze, location was perfect and the overall atmosphere was so relaxed. It was literally come on in and make yourself at home! We loved the fact that we were minutes from anywhere we wanted to go and perfectly content to stay put.
The host was fantastic and made our stay even more enjoyable by providing a few surprises!
There is something here for everyone and would highly recommend staying at Creekside Cottage.

Property is in a peaceful location yet convenient to downtown Helen and all the attractions. The weather was warmer while we were there, but they did offer firewood and the stuff to make smores, which was very nice. Very pleasant stay.

This VRBO is great for families. They have provided items to accommodate young children, older children nd adults. All the amenities worked beautifully. We had a blast playing Twister!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The host family has thought of so many details for guests that made our stay with the 3 kids just wonderful. Highlights included: the screened in porch, complete with ample seating (rocking chairs were our favorite), hot tub was a huge hit, we loved exploring the creek on the property and spent quite a few hours honing the best way to get across the rocks, and our kids loved loved loved all the toys and books available. There was one afternoon & night we just spent at the house playing on the property and cooking dinner bc it was so peaceful and fun! They also provided s’mores fixings and have firewood for a small fee, they have a great fire pit area with lots of chairs.
You’ll need to bring all food items to cook with like oils, spices, tin foil, etc. but they have a great kitchen stocked with all the stuff to cook with. We found all the extras that they provided were a really nice touch: dish detergent, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, soap and shampoo for each bathroom.
And we had a great vacation in Helen & the surrounding area! We had 3 kids under 7 so our itinerary favorites included:

International Cafe for great sausages and pretzels

Hansel & Gretel for treats
Hiking at Smithgall Park, this was terrific for the kids as the hike into the different trailheads was paved

Loved the house. My favorite part was the huge wrap around porch - great views of the woods, comfy chairs, and a hot tube. Comfortable couch in the living room, and beds. Nice grassy yard for dogs or kids to play with a cute little creek in the back. Location was prefect - close to Cleveland, Helen and amazing hiking trails (on and off the AT). Quite neighbor.

I needed a quick getaway that was reasonable priced . My wife found this spot and she nailed it . It was PEFECT !!! I highly recommend this cabin . Only 15 min from Helen .

My family had a fantastic stay. The owners are friendly & responsive. It is incredibly unusual to find a rental property that is this kid-friendly! My 3-year-old had tons of fun things to entertain her. The backyard is great, it's hard to beat that babbling creek sound!

Lovely home that is well furnished. The property has a creek running through the back. There are many toys and a swing for the little ones. Even though there are several houses on the same street it was mostly quiet. We would stay here again

We had a great week. We especially enjoyed the yard, the stream, wrap around porch, the hot tub and sauna. And the outdoor grill setup was really nice. The house and yard felt private but was convenient to stores and restaurants. And lots of opportunities for hiking close by. Everything in the house was in perfect working order and the host was super attentive and helpful. Will definitely return.

I could go on for hours about this property. First, the owners were available at all times and responded to any questions I had. The cabin is perfect for anyone with dogs, small children or adult children like mine. Along with everything you see on the listing, the cabin comes with toys, games, books and even dog toys(which my pup appreciated). The cabin is close to everything but we had the most fun hanging out there. We played corn hole, sat by the fire, made s'mores(that the owners left for us), sat in the hot tub, played in the creek. We will be back!

Easy to reach. Soft comfy sheets and towels. Lots of living space inside and out. Everything you need and more in the kitchen and everywhere. Great screen enclosed wrap around porch. Hot tub, sauna, big back yard, creek. This cabin not only has everything, but the host will personally see to it if you need anything.

Great location, private, lawns well maintained. Screened porch’s were nice. Didn’t have time to take advantage of hot tub or fire pit but enjoyed sitting in swing by the stream. Close to hiking trails and downtown Helen. Owner easy to communicate with.

Peaceful!!!
The property managers thought of everything. Toys for the kids, baby gates, great kitchen appliances. I felt like I was back home with my grandmother. Loved it and we will return.
