About this condo rental
Top Floor of the prestigious Bluff Walk Condominiums. You will not believe this Penthouse view overlooking the James River. The building has 2 restaurants and a convenient parking right in front of the unit. Additionally, its worth mentioning we are about 5 miles from LU; 5 miles from University of Lynchburg, 3 miles from Randolph College and 4miles from VES! All these schools are super close and the travel is easy from our condo! We are located in down town Lynchburg and in the middle of many restaurants all within walking distance. You can walk along the Bluff Walk or if you want a few more "steps" we are very close to the Percival's Island trail (its paved). There is a location to rent bikes close by as well. Lynchburg has the Academy of Arts which is constantly bringing in all kinds of entertainment. Amazement Square, the children's museum, is about 1/2 mile from the condo. On Saturdays the Community Market/ Farmers Market is literally 100 yards away. Treat yourself to the Best of the Best !!! Best Location, Best Building, Best Time ... ENJOY !!!

Very nice accommodations on the James. Property was perfectly located for us between the Craddock and Virginian where most of the wedding party were staying. Very convenient to many restaurants and shops. Assigned parking space right at the entry door made it easy for my mother and loading/unloading.
Space was clean and organized. Sarah was a gracious hostess and very responsive to multiple questions. Thanks so much. Hope to visit again at our next wedding weekend.

This is our fourth stay at this property. It continues to be very clean and comfortable. There is excellent communication with the owner and the location is perfect for the historic downtown Lynchburg area. Great view also. Will definitely stay here again.

We love this building! We’ve stayed in 2 condos in this building and both were amazing. Clean, lovely, well appointed home away from home. Walk everywhere, but parking spot included which is key in Lynchburg.

Very nice place to stay. Good downtown location and close to restaurants nearby. Only issue is parking. There is only one parking space for the property. Street parking is limited to 2 hours Mon thru Fri from 8 to 6. The 2 hour limit is enforced by patrolling parking police. Nearby parking lots are all paid reserve spaces.

Wonderful, spacious condo in the heart of historic Lynchburg. This is a wonderful city and this condo is walking distance or short drives to everything. So many restaurants and activities in walking distance you can park your car for the entire trip! We had 6 adults and the 3 bedrooms and two baths served us nicely. We cooked all our breakfasts and one dinner. The fridge has plenty of space, very nice appliances, and both a coffee maker and a Keurig. The mattress are quite firm, so be aware of that. We had a blip with the a/c and the owner had a repair person there within the hour on a Saturday! The nights were cool so we opened our bedroom window at night. That made it possible to hear the train that passes a few times a day, but with the windows closed you won’t hear a peep from the outside. The patio was our favorite part and we enjoyed watching the river. We only saw a tiny fraction of all this city has to offer so we will be back!

This was our second time staying in this lovely apartment. We were dropping off our sons for their first year at Liberty. The beds are comfortable, ample room and the proximity to dining and shopping is superb. We love the riverfront, and this apartment affords a beautiful river view.

I booked this place for my daughters, one’s fiance, my boyfriend and me so we could attend my nephew’s wedding. The location was perfect—half a block from the hotel where the rest of my family was staying and a short walk to the rehearsal dinner. It was roomy and comfortable and had everything we needed. The balcony overlooking the river was everyone’s favorite place. The decor was great too, and it looked like it had been recently renovated. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful.
Our only snafu was on the checkin. The directions to access the building were confusing but the owner came right over and showed us how to get in.
We would all definitely stay here again.

This is an excellent location and building but I am surprised so many gave this accommodation a 5 star rating. We have stayed in other vrbo in the building that were like a hotel so I guess we have been spoiled. This was more like staying in someone’s home - complete with family photos and mismatched wine glasses etc. The toilet in the Jack and Jill does not have room for someone’s legs if they are tall. It was chilly and the fireplace did not work. Right under the bar so it was noisy late at night FYI (no shock there and to be expected) but the views on the balcony are great. No full length mirror in the condo. No hook or place to hang things in the bathroom. One of the sinks in the master was stopped up. Again, super location and building, great kitchen layout and clean.

Stayed for 3 nights this past weekend celebrating our daughters' birthdays. What a great location for being in the center of all downtown has to offer. The restaurants surrounding us where amazing and plentiful. So many activities for young and old(er), as well as pets. The condo is well appointed with everything one could need. Lots of towels, bed linens, the kitchen was well stocked with enough dishware and pots to cook for the entire family.

Your condo is beautiful and in a great location! It was very clean and well stocked with cleaning supplies and bath towels. We were in town for my daughter’s wedding and your location was convenient to hotels where our many guests stayed. It was nice to be walking distance to restaurants and a walking trail along the river. Thank you!

This rental was absolutely wonderful. Our family met there to celebrate my 50th birthday. We enjoyed just hanging out, playing games and cooking and eating together. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and walking to our favorite restaurant for dinner. Our host responded quickly to any questions we had. This was our first VRBO and the process was so easy. Highly recommend! We can't wait for our next visit to Lynchburg.

We have stayed here several times as my older parents live in an assisted living in Lynchburg. It’s so comfortable and clean and you can walk to everything downtown! We will stay again next time!

Coming from two directions--Charlotte and Richmond--this location made for a perfect family gathering. The Penthouse was clean, well maintained, well equiped and fun to stay in. We loved looking at the river and hearing the train! We hope to return when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy our wine on the balcony.

We stayed 5 nights and couldn't have been happier! Clean, spacious, and amazing location. Easy access to many downtown walkways, restaurants, etc. We had everything we needed to cook. Had my children and grandchildren for Christmas celebration, and the owner even put up a cute little Christmas tree! We enjoyed the gas fireplace and watching the trains go by once or twice a day. We will definitely be back!

I'm short on time but I would regret not leaving a well earned 5 star review before I forget. It was decorated in a wonderfully updated but still homey fashion and kept spotless. Stocked with all the basics and multiple creature comforts that let you settle right in. The host was receptive with a few random questions and I could not have been happier. Easy access to Liberty campus and we will absolutely return!

We had a little post covid reunion with college friends who hadn’t seen each other since 2019. The apartment was perfectly clean and inviting. The beds were super comfortable and Sarah was available whenever I had a question. It was a perfect getaway-we are hoping to book here the same time next year!

Great location in Lynchburg. Easy access to bike path/trails and all the restaurants and shops downtown and an easy drive to LU. Very clean and very well stocked apartment. Well maintained apartment and building., secure too. We easily walked to restaurants but also cooked in and had everything we needed for cooking and serving. We will definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfectly perfect! Lots of welcoming touches and extra efforts made that let us all know that we were truly a guest and not just another renter. We truly felt welcomed and appreciated all the extras that kept us from wishing we had bought more items at the grocery. Be sure to check in before going to the grocery. Everything was better than pictured. Comfortable and of high quality. We already booked another stay. It is in a very safe area and lovely to walk. The car parking at the door was fantastic. Closest to the elevator. Everything was immaculately maintained from the moment we pulled into the parking lot. I recommend taking ear plugs as it is down town. I always travel with them so as not to loose sleep. Slept great! Thank you Sarah for all your attentiveness.

We had a great stay. Immaculate cleanliness. I’m very picky, and this place was clean. Not even a cobweb. Everything functioned properly and the kitchen was fully stocked. Had a coffee maker and a Kuerig!! Great deck overlooking the James River. We walked to dinner every night and Sarah’s dinner recommendations did not disappoint. Waterstone pizza and Bootleggers were fantastic. It’s in the heart of Downtown Lynchburg along the Riverfront, so it was very convenient to everything the Riverfront area has to offer. That is a big convenience but it also a little noisy, but well worth it for the great property. The noise is the reason I gave location only four stars. I do think the good outweighs the bad though. Oh , and my dog loved it. Doggy pick up bags and garbage cans placed conveniently throughout the neighborhood and a lot of puppy pals around!! Even dog bowls in the kitchen! Thank you so much Sarah!

Condo is very clean and well furnished. Location is great with restaurants right out your front door. It was very comfortable for our friends weekend-would not hesitate to stay there again. Also, the building is dog friendly.
