We loved the big old, historic house, which has been outfitted with a large, bright and well appointed kitchen. The downstairs also has a big dining room and living room, entry way with work space - which are connected and open. Plenty of room upstairs to get away, with each of 3 rooms large and windows looking over the street and trees. Kirstin was a great host throughout our 6 week stay. Hope to come back.

Kirsten was great. The home is located close to downtown as well as Oregon State University. It met our needs for the six months we were there.

What a phenomenal property! I spent about six weeks in the house and enjoyed every moment. The house is a real gem with an ambiance that makes it feel like you are in your own home. Unlike many rental properties that are sparsely furnished and lack warmth, this house is amply furnished and incorporates great decorating choices. Homey touches included live plants and even stuffed animals. The decor made the home inviting and comfortable. Another of my favorite features was the covered porch that provided a great place to curl up with a good book.
Nestled in the middle of the historic district, it is just a short walk to OSU, the Riverwalk, and Corvallis’ Central Park, so there is no lack of things to do. During the summer the community band puts on free concerts in Central Park, just a couple of blocks from the house.
Kirstin was a model host and I enjoyed getting to know her. She was very helpful and responsive when there were problems. She worked hard to get issues resolved quickly. I would definitely rent the property again (and probably will).

Beautiful Craftsman home!
We stayed at the house during part of my sabbatical at OSU. The house is fantastic. It has the best elements of staying in an historic house with all of its charm, together with a modern bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is beyond gourmet. We cooked a lot! There are plenty of tools and everything is easy to find. The right piece of cookware was easily at hand for everything we decided to make. The dining room gas fireplace adds elegance to meals in the house. It was also an easy walk to several restaurants downtown, when we felt like eating out. Doing laundry was easy and the separate laundry room off of the kitchen made it convenient. The under floor heat in the bathroom made it cozy. There were a few different inviting spaces to set up a home office that still kept work items separated from daily life at home. Kirstin is a super friendly host with lots of local knowledge. We cannot wait to return in the fall.

We needed somewhere to stay in the time between our new house being completed and the sale of our home. Kirsten was so accommodating and lovely throughout the whole process. It was fun to live in downtown for a few weeks and get to experience walking everywhere! The house was completely stocked with everything you could ever need, and Kirsten was by far the nicest host we've ever had!!

Birth of Baby
We spent a month at the house around the birth of our son, and Kirstin (the host) couldn’t have been more attentive, accommodating and welcoming. It was a nice place to be for this very special moment in our lives. We’d definitely recommend it!

Sweet old house
Our overall review of this property would have to include the owner, Kirsten. She is an absolute delight! She made us feel welcome, spoiled and pampered. She fulfilled our every need to make our stay enjoyable. while still respecting our privacy.
The home was roomy, very clean and comfortable. The designer kitchen made meal preparation a breeze. We felt at home from the moment we walked in the door.
The location of this home is perfect. We were able to walk downtown, to the post office or to the Oregon State campus in less than 15 minutes. The center of Corvallis is very accessible by foot.
We would recommend this sweet old home to anyone desiring to stay close to the heart of Corvallis.

Entering the house is what I suppose partial time travel must be like: it's the beautiful old mansion of the mayor from 1906 with gorgeous wood finishings and high ceilings combined with all that a modern-day person would need. It is very well-furnished, and I wouldn't mind taking the spacious super-well equipped kitchen along. Best of all are the hosts: They helped us with all requests and were very easy to reach and to talk to.
The location of the rental is perfect for exploring the downtown shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the waterfront, the farmers market and the library. Central Park and the OSU campus are within walking and biking distance. Bikes are a perfect way to get around in Corvallis, and there is a bike rack on the porch to safely lock them. There are lots of beautiful biking and hiking trails all around Corvallis, or you can venture out a little further to Mary's Peak, the beautiful OR coast or the Cascade mountains.
If you are here for business, rest assured that the large working spaces in the house and the high-speed internet will accommodate your needs.

Kristen was super easy to communicate with and very friendly. The home was well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen had above average finishes and plenty of dishware. The location was so great, close to downtown but not too loud. I moved in during the record heat wave and the AC wasn't working, in addition to the internet only working sporadically. Kristen was responsive and did everything possible to get these issues fixed. Despite these frustrations I enjoyed being there and would stay again if I had the chance!

Amazing House
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We arrived in early February and had stayed for 3 months. This home was built in 1909 and boasts modern amenities. Usually, homes of this age are dark and compartmentalized. This home has an open feel with plenty of natural light. The kitchen is large and updated with numerous small appliances for our use. The 3 bedrooms are large and comfortable. There were only 2 of us during our stay, but this home can hold plenty of others with larger families. It is centrally located with plenty of dedicated off-street parking. The owner was very accommodating and accessible with any issues we may have had.
A side note...we were in town for business. We were able to utilize the 2 large workspaces in the house. Very nice!
