Fully renovated and ready for your stay! Come escape and relax in this completely renovated 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom beach front cottage. “Pura Vida” will be sure to ease your mind with expansive views of the gulf and white sand beaches right outside your door. Open concept dining and living area overlook panoramic gulf views. Ocean front deck with built in bar, and comfortable seating provide the perfect place to enjoy a beachside meal, cold drink, and relaxation. New boardwalk with foot washing station leads to a gate that will allow for safety for small children. Hot/cold outdoor shower located at the top of the boardwalk. The hallway leads to 3 well appointed bedrooms. The double bunk room can sleep 4 and is the perfect place for kids or teens. This room opens to the hallway with a shared bathroom with the 2nd queen bedroom. The master bedroom features a king size bed and private bathroom. Newly renovated kitchen will provide ample cooking space and utensils for your needs. Cordless Roman shades throughout the home allow for privacy and room darkening. Other amenities to include wireless internet service, multiple flat panel smart tv/ROKU that guests may utilize with their own log in. Laundry room with separate entry located underneath home by parking pad. For allergy and furniture maintenance reasons, Pura Vida is dog friendly ONLY! Thank you for your understanding. Booster seat/chair attachment for children 9+ months old is available for use. Come and enjoy the sun and sand, right outside your door!! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Pura Vida. The view can't be beat, the owners are kind and responsive, and the deck space is perfect for dogs, especially as one of ours is a tripod and having a ramp down to the beach was wonderful for her. That said, there were a few issues that kept it from getting five stars. There was dog poop on the steps from the parking area upon our arrival, and it was clear a previous dog had marked in the house (the kitchen mat in particular smelled strongly of urine and had to be washed, but the owners also ordered a replacement that was scheduled to be delivered the day we left). We are animal people and not squeamish about cleaning up accidents, but it was a shame the housecleaner had missed these.
There were also some minor maintenance issues—loose doorknobs and toilet paper holders (my husband fixed them), mildewy caulk in the master shower, and a broken oversize Connect Four game with all the discs loose on the floor when we got there. Not a big deal, but doesn't make the best first impression.
I think with a deep clean and a handyman's attention, this house would be stellar. It's been tastefully renovated, has a well-stocked kitchen, and is in a prime location, but needs a little more attention in these areas to be five stars.

We had a wonderful time at Pura Vida! The house had the most beautiful view of the Gulf and the most incredible waterfront, expansive porch. I always like to cook for my family on vacation, and the kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen with all the necessary kitchen tools for cooking. Also, the house was clean and in tip top shape! I would definitely rent this property again. It was like a dream spending a week at Pura Vida!

We had a wonderful vacation at this lovely little beach cottage. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. The beach is beautiful and the location is perfect. We hope to be able to visit again soon.

This home has a wonderful view, with great access to a low key beach area! It had everything that we needed to relax and have a great week. The owners have added a lot of modern touches to the home, including the kitchen, which was my favorite space, besides the beach of course! We had a small maintenance issue, but the owners were easy to communicate with and we resolved it quickly. We will definitely come back to SGI and this house!

We loved this house and SGI so much! Thank you so much for being pet friendly. It was neat to be able to enjoy the beach with our goldendoodle. The foot washing station was great and doubled as a good place for her to get fresh water. The enclosed deck was awesome too. The house itself was even cuter than the pictures. The windows along the beach side with the window seating were my favorite place to sit and read or just people watch. The kitchen was great and had new appliances it appeared. The king size bed was super comfy and the bathrooms had tons of towels. We biked, kayaked and rented a boat one day. I can't wait to come back!! If you are tired of over crowded beaches, this is your spot!!

As annual visitors to SGI, this was the perfect beachfront cottage for our family. Clean, comfortable, well-stocked and excellent communication from our hosts. Will definitely be back!

The house had great ocean views. It was dirty when we got there. The master bath floor was filthy. There was a dirty dish rag in the kitchen sink and the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Master bedroom door knob is loose. Overall it could have been cleaner. Owners had someone come get some stuff from the owners closet while we were there. They also wanted to send someone to get the only key to the house to go make copies of it. It seemed they were not prepared for us to check in.

Enjoyed our stay here last year, so we invited friends to join us this time. We saw big waves & enjoyed calm waters, too. Renting chairs & umbrellas was so easy, and added to the fun.
The house is a perfect layout in a perfect location. The kitchen is well appointed, and offered us dinner with the best view ever! The guys provided fresh-caught tripletail & we picked up steamed shrimp from Piggly Wiggly on SGI.
Can’t wait to return !!!

This was a long weekend get away. It has been over 20 years that my family has been visiting St. George Island and we have always changed location until now, Pura Vida was perfect great location beautiful little house and everything I needed while there coming for the family. The owners were amazing and very helpful. I will most definitely be back to this property again. The fire pit on the beach was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing you piece of paradise with my family.

We found Pura Vida searching for dog-friendly rentals on the island that were beachfront. This home does not disappoint! The view of the gulf is breathtaking from the large picture windows that span the front of the house. The deck space was amazing and a perfect place to hang out after you were done down at the beach. Everything in this home is very well thought out - from the foot wash at the beach end of the ramp to the shower at the top to all the hooks and cubbies for storage. The home itself is very comfortable and we lacked for nothing during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and there were plenty of towels. There were even beach toys to use. Our 2 doodles had an amazing time at the beach and couldn't wait to get out there each morning. The home was clean & very well maintained and the owners extremely responsive & helpful. Being a native Floridian who moved to the North Carolina mountains 12 years ago, I have been searching for beach destination that recalled what it was like to grow up in 'old Florida'. I'm not sure where I first heard of St. George Island, but it was exactly what we were looking for! We've done the Destin/Panama Beach scene and while the beaches are lovely, being from a small town tends to lead you away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist set. The small town, welcoming feel of SGI made us feel right at home and Pura Vida felt like our own private paradise. We can't wait to go back and would absolutely book this home again!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the beach house. We loved the convenience of the fire pit and chairs to use. The house was cozy and we had all the things we needed. We loved the large refrigerator too. One of the nights that we stayed the skies were clear and we saw layers of stars and three shooting stars! We will definitely visit again!

Stayed here for the second time. We stayed last year and enjoyed it. The deck outside to the beach and the windows with view to the ocean by far are the best parts of this rental. There’s so much room on the deck for the kids and dogs to hang out. The walk to the beach is easy and beautiful.

We loved the views and proximity to the beach. The boardwalk and deck were perfect for the dogs. We had difficulty getting the key from the lockbox when we arrived. Also had plumbing issues our last day and could not use the shower. Otherwise we love the house and will be back.

Our family stayed in this cute home on the beach for 14 days, and loved every minute of it! Everything we needed, and the deck was perfect for our fur baby! Craig checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed more than once? Didn't want to leave!!

Thanks for sharing your home. Well appointed and set us up for a great stay at the beach. Perfect view, great sunrises. Very comfortable. First time beach goers with pets should be cautious of the beach floral with burrs. Just be aware. Will not deter from enjoying the area.

Best SGI Rental for this Family!
We enjoyed our stay at Pura Vida so much! It was absolutely perfect and I would book this again today for next year.
The photos and description is spot on for the house. Very kid friendly as well. We found games and puzzles to play during a rain storm. Each room has a TV except for the bunkroom which was nice. The porch was the best place to take in the morning and afternoons. The kitchen had everything we needed and we only ate out one night. A bonus was there was an additional fridge downstairs where the laundry was so we had somewhere to put fishing bait and extra ice. I would recommend this play to anyone!

This was our second time to rent Pura Vida. There has been many great updates since last year!! We had a great time and Craig went out of his way to provide info for my husband!! A wonderful time was had by all. Thank you for being great hosts!!

Gulf access right off front deck
We had a great week at Pura Vida. The owner was very friendly and actually called to check in shortly before our arrival time. Hose for washing sand off and shower on deck where a great convenience after enjoying the days at the beach catching pompano. Picnic table on front deck was a great location for family meals while still enjoying the beautiful gulf views.

The house is lovely! The decor sets a perfect beach house vibe. We watched the Easter sunrise from the dining room table. I chose the house because of the ramp to the beach, and we have an older dog. Our dog’s parents used it also for loading & unloading the car. It’s so nice to have a dog-friendly beach.
The owners and property manager were very responsive to our questions…and very patient with us when we had one. The owner checked on us to make sure our arrival and check-in were smooth.
We loved exploring the Forgotten Coast and having a home base that we looked forward to returning each afternoon, and probably again next year!
