The house offers accommodations for 10 with a broad and unobstructed view of Lake George. Sit on the porch overlooking the lake or head down to the lakefront boathouse to take in all Lake George has to offer. Enjoy Lake George from our private boathouse, aboard 2 kayaks available for your use, or bring your own boat. Swim right from the end of the dock in one of the clearest glacier formed lakes in Indiana! Enjoy cooking in the well outfitted kitchen, or relax in one of the 3 upstairs bedrooms or the basement bunkhouse. It's all yours at the Sunset Haus on Lake George. Note: A public boat launch is available, and you can tie off a boat 19' or less to our dock in a designated area. Just bring your own ropes and buoys! Pontoon boats cannot be accommodated. Tying off is at your own risk, and may not obstruct our neighbors use of the shared dock.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage! Nicely appointed and very liveable, everyone particularly enjoyed sitting on the front porch under the big maple tree, watching the boats on the water! Very relaxing! Thank you so much for sharing your propery with us!

Our 3rd year staying here and the house is as nice as ever! Truly enjoyed the yard for the grandkids to play. Our only suggestion would be to improve the access to the lake itself. Getting in and out of the water can be a challenge, especially for the kids.

A fabulous place to stay! We had a family wedding to attend nearby at the Red Barn Acres, a beautiful venue. Sunset Haus was the best choice ever! Some lake time for the college kids, down time for the adults, and a mini get away weekend for our son & his wife who are expecting their first baby! The view is amazing! Fabulous, clean home that was large enough to not trip over each other while getting ready for the wedding! Beds were comfy and everyone slept through the evening thunderstorms! The hosts are spot on! Some pier time, sun bathing, kayaking, friendly neighbors, and beautiful sunsets did not disappoint!!

Just as good as we remembered from last year! While not lake front, it has an excellent lake view with easy access to the water. The dock is excellent for sunning and playing. We'll be back!

This is our 2nd consecutive year at this property. I wouldn't change a thing from last year's review. The lake is so nice and clear you end up spending most of your time in the lake. The Kayaks (single and double) enable you to see all of the houses on the lake up close. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some quality vaca time.

Wonderful Week At Sunset Haus

Our family from Detroit and Chicago met in the middle and spent a wonderful week at Sunset Haus in early August 2021. It was more than we had anticipated. Everyone really enjoyed using the boat house and the dock and raft and kayaks. We spent a lot of time on the waterfront. And at the table in the dining room which is so beautiful. The courtyard was perfect for our youngest (15 months) to crawl around without risk. The flowers were gorgeous and perfectly framed the sunsets on the front balcony. Communication with the Blair Team was easy and quick. We would love to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was more than adequate for 5 adults and 2 small children. The host was wonderful and very responsive if we had a question. The location is great. Although the St. George Lake was somewhat smaller than the surrounding lakes, it is was still quite large. And, it turned out we preferred it to the other lakes as the water was so clear. There are no boat rentals on St. George lake. We took two day trips to Lake James and Cold Water Lake where we rented a pontoon boat to explore the chain of lakes associated with each. I would highly recommend this activity. On the other days we spent hanging around the lake, swimming and using the Kayaks.

We were very impressed with the modern touches of this lake house. Very well appointed! We liked having a large table for our group of 9 — many rental houses overlook this important factor. We did feel that all bedrooms needed curtains.

We rented this great place for 4 days. I brought my teenage daughters snd my mom. The house is better than the pictures. Lovely place! We are sad to leave.!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Haus! We were only there 4 nights, wish we had stayed a week! The pictures do not capture how nice the house is! Lake George is such a nice lake, not busy on the water during our stay. My son had his boat and launching it was easy and keeping it tied at the dock was so nice. We had a total of 9 (2 children) staying and the house was spacious enough for all of us. We loved the nice big dining table. The owners were very easy to communicate with also.

We recently stayed at the Sunset Haus for a weeklong stay with our extended family. Really couldn’t ask for more. The location is perfect, layout of the house gave us wonderful lake views from all levels, and having the boat dock and boathouse was invaluable. Sunset Haus had everything you can think of, including small household appliances, kayaks, fishing gear, and a great dock to swim off of. Definitely recommend!!

Property was amazing! Everything we expected and more! The lake view from both the house windows and the porch were wonderful and the sunset views perfect. The lake front access was very nice and the lake bottom easy to walk on. We frequently rent on this lake and some of the Lake George areas can be weedy and mucky but this was sandy with gravel mixed. The house itself is just perfect with 3 separate bedrooms and the basement bunk type area. The basement area with it's own bath was so nice that my wife and I took that over one of the bedrooms. The upstairs baths were very nice and the 2 headed large shower in the 2nd bath an unexpected plus. The kitchen was very nice and open to the family area so no one was cut off from the activities. The breezeway with it's large dining table was perfect with the garden view out one side and the lake out the other! Parking was convenient for additional cars and actually being able to park in the garage a big plus, especially since we arrived in the rain. We want to tell all of our friends about this place but are afraid to until we have made our reservations for next year! We will definitely be back!
