Nantahala River front cabin adjoining National Forest near Franklin Nc
About this house rental
If you’re looking for a unique experience, this is it! The adventure lover’s dream and such a magical place! This is a very unique and charming property It sits on over 3 acres overlooking the river and has about 300’ of river frontage. Plus, the view is gorgeous overlooking mountains. It also backs up to National Forest! After a day of adventure, cozy up by the gas push button fireplace or relax on the covered deck overlooking the river. Pictures don’t do the cabin justice. The cabin is completely made out of recycled wood from old properties. It’s all in the details from the farm sink to the push button gas fireplace... you can’t ask for a better location and cabin. Plus there’s privacy galore since you’re on 3 acres and back up to forest. And over 3,000 feet elevation. Note there is no cell service here. We do have WiFi. With WiFi calling turned on, you’re able to make cell calls through the WiFi and send and receive texts. You do have to cross a river on a paved road or low water bridge that is usually 6” to 1 ft deep so a crossover, jeep, suv, or truck is needed. A small car will not be adequate. The master is located downstairs with a queen bed. The upstairs bedroom is a lkft style. It has three single beds and two double beds to sleep a total of 9 people. The master bath has a shower and the guest bath has a bathtub. Floating is fun if you tie a rope to a tree and just sit in the river in a tube. I recomend water shoes as the river rock can be rough on the feet. Its also fun to bring side by sides, motorcycles, and 4 wheelers to ride the roads inside the neighborhood. Location is 25 miles from the Appalachian trail entrance 35 minutes from the charming town of Franklin, NC. 45 minutes from Hayesville. Chunky Gal Stables 45 minutes from Cabin. Highlands Aerial Park for zip lining is 1 hr 1 hr from Dillsboro River Company for rafting Nearest wall mart is in Franklin about 40 min. Nantahala Lake Marine for boat rentals is 37 min away. Nantahala white water rafting with fast rivers is 57 minutes away. Jackrabbit state park dor bike riding and beach is 47 minutes Dillsboro is good for antiquing as is Franklin and Sylva. Asheville airport is 65 miles. Gatlinburg is 87 mikes from cabin.

Had a wonderful trip. Definitely need 4-wheel drive vehicles, the river pass is no joke, but so much fun. Fully stocked kitchen, clean, and cozy.

Cabin was really nice! Pictures don’t do it justice. In the description, it says that you need a truck or SUV to reach property… you definitely need a truck or a lifted vehicle Bc you have to cross a river. Other than that, we loved it!

Very peaceful cabin! Loved everything but the large river crossing, but I'm sure that's mountain life, it is different for me.
I would recommend this cabin to others.
