Great property overall, very comfortable, but just a few things that didn't work and needed fixing. The oven door doesn't shut, so the oven would constantly stop cooking, which was incredibly frustrating. Looks like someone had tried to fix it previously and failed. The main sink also leaked into the cupboard below because it isn't sealed property around the in-sink-drain / plug.

In the past with farm houses like this, you generally find previous people leave behind things to help the next guests, or the owners leave a few amenities in the kitch. Things like cooking oil, or salt and pepper, or paper towels etc etc. There was none of that at this place. It's like it is cleared out each and every time. So as a result, things that we'd normally leave behind for the next guests, we took home as well.

Darcy Brown House is in a beautiful location not far out of town and we had a fantastic weekend with our family group of 7 adults. The house had everything you would need for a weekend away and really felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully get back again in the future.

What’s not to like?!

The house was large and light filled. It was well equipped. The kitchen appliances were of good quality. We enjoyed the fire place.

There was no wardrobe in master bedroom.

Liked the location in particular being well located near vineyards. Very peaceful and no neighbours nearby that would be affected by us perhaps being a little noisy.

When searching for a location in Orange, I came across Darcy Brown House and apart from being impressed with the house, I was also impressed with the pictures of a room that had a darts board and billiard table, so was looking forward to a game or two of darts, etc. This room does not exist as indicated in pictures. I would think that this should be corrected.
