Carolyn and Richard with fantastic hosts. The house was beautiful and everything was thought of, we would definitely recommend!
Nothing, it was all fantastic!

Nothing really parking a bit difficult but permit provided so all good

Such a beautiful cottage, comfortable and with some lovely touches. A real home from home within walking distance of town.
The lack of accessible parking! The landlords need to be more open about the fact that parking is available only with the provided permit but this does not guarantee a space within easy distance for someone with

It was an awesome stay at this historic cottage in Bakewell, fitted with all the modern amenities, right in the town centre, which offered awesome food choices. Halal food is only a 20-minute drive to Bakewell. The owners, particularly Carolyn, are not only hospitable but also kind and forthcoming. 10/10

Location, lovely little cottage, all that you could want the owner had thought of and provided.
Stairs, they are narrow and fairly steep but the owner does make you aware of this.

The cottage was clean and comfortable, with everything you would need for your stay. The homemade jam and shortbread biscuits was a lovely welcoming touch. An easy walk to the cafes, pubs and shops in Bakewell village, and easy driving to enjoy the wonder Peak District
There was nothing we didn’t like about our cottage, although the steep stairs to the bedrooms were a challenge. Fortunately we had our adult son travelling with us who took our bags up to our delightful ensuite master bedroom

Heather cottage is well positioned 5 minutes away from town.
It is cosy and clean with all the facilities you could need for a comfortable stay.
Nothing - it was perfect, which is why we’ve stayed there twice.

We loved our holiday in Heather Cottage in Bakewell. The cottage has such a warm and inviting feel and is well equipped for all our needs. The location is perfect on the edge of the village and very quiet despite being on a main road running through the village. It was the most wonderful place from which to explore not only the village itself but also the beautiful surrounding areas and, of course, try a Bakewell pudding, or tart which was delicious.

Perfect location and very pretty property.
Parking was tricky if you had more than one vehicle

Parking was only available for 1 car a daily 24 hour rate had to be paid for our second car.

Self catering well stocked cupboards
Stairs a bit steep, but then it was an old cottage like us

The property was spotless, cosy and comfortable. Location was brilliant, 2 minutws walk into town. The parking permit was really useful too. Carolyn was really helpful and answered all my questions.

What a beautiful place to stay! Very charming cottage, immaculate clean, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds. We had everything we would have wanted, including hair dryer, hair straightener and even rubber duckies for little ones :)
We liked everything !

No provisions for getting rid of recycling. Told to take to recycle bins 5 mins walk away (which didn’t exist) or take with you, also all rubbish had to be removed from the property. Parking only available for one car, the owner kindly told us we could use alternative free parking but this was a 10 minute walk away. This was not clear on website. A great location for walking and begging in Bakewell.

It was like borrowing a holiday home from a friend, there is everything you need and so much more. The cottage is bigger than I expected from the pictures. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a proper dinner. The position is very good, five minutes walk from lovely cafes, shops and restaurants. We loved the board games, especially the Monopoly. Thank you very much for the amazing Christmas we had.
Everything is perfect, there is no improvement to make.

Beautiful cottage. Great location.
Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, we enjoyed the games. Kitchen was really well stocked with lots of basics, which was appreciated.
Loved all the candles and twinklie lights.
Loved, loved, loved the window shutters.

The linens were superb and the beds extremely comfortable.
The parking was problematic. While a parking permit was provided by the hosts we were never lucky enough in 3 days to park on the street by the cottage. We also worried about street parking and the safety of the rental car. The cottage had a clothes washing machine, but no dryer….other than air racks.

No meals were included
The stairs were very narrow, due to age, and creaked a lot. A runner in the middle of the staircase would have lessened the noisy creaking, and made them safer to use, by lessening the chance of slipping.

Close to the centre, easy walk to shops, pub, restaurants. Parking permit provided. Very well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. Lots of instant hot water. Both rooms had en-suite bathrooms. A fan was provided in the top room.
For us a little too many stairs. Surprised by a 13.5 tog duvet on the bed in August, but we removed this.

The cottage was comfortable, clean, spacious and we'll equipped .
It was very close to the town centre, within easy walking distance to restaurants and bars.
The cottage is on a busy main road and with the windows open it is very noisy

Location was perfect: short walk by stream into centre on Bakewell.
Cottage was clean and comfortable: my daughter said the bed was like lying on a marshmallow whilst being wrapped in a marshmallow…she was not wrong! The beds were super comfortable with very high quality bedding, it was an absolute treat.
The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were good tv channels if wanted, with very comfortable sofas.
Absolutely loved it and definitely returning.
Everything was perfect!

Great location and a lovely cottage. We didn't need to use the car all week. I would advise booking places to eat before you come as it was busy.
I'd best describe it as like staying at someones house.... there was a mix of opened food in cupboards.
There were used disposable razors in the shower cubicle.
