Super close to the town of Lafortune-15 min drive, wonderful house with great amenities, pool, hot tub, river nearby. Danny was amazing, AC perfect in the rooms. Just know the water heater can trip the circuit breaker and may need to be fixed, but it's right outside the bathroom door, so its very easy! Just a lil switch. I'd 100% stay again. SO MUCH room!

This place is better than the pictures. Definitely the nicest Vrbo we have ever stayed at. The pools were awesome. We saw sloths, toucans, and a very large orange iguana. Danny is super nice and helpful. It’s about a 20 minute drive to La Fortuna. Only downside to this place is the stupid roosters next door! Bring some earplugs if you want to sleep past 6am or just take some naps during the day. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and we’re sad to leave!

Danny was exceptionally wonderful in communicating and meeting our needs most of the time. I understand some of the things we experienced were Costarican experiences and not much we could change as we Americans feel spoiled here in our country. Danny set us up with Antonieta from Mi Viaje. She was able to coordinate all of our excursions for our family while in La Fortuna at a very reasonable price. She booked us for horseback riding , water rafting and private cooking class. We loved everyone and everything. The entire experience was marvelous!! We loved the access to hot water in the showers this was such a treat. All you have to do is apply less water pressure to maximize the hot water. Do not leave any sort of snack or even an empty dirty cup out on the counter as the bugs will come out and you will pay the next morning but Danny provided us with bug spray to get rid of all the buggies. The downside, the kids were disappointed as the Hot tub will not get hot no matter how long ago you got it started. Danny changed the router the next day to maximize utility as all the tech lights etc is controlled by wifi (5g good for speed) but no luck on the hot tub only got as lukewarm. The AC in the master during the day had some type of blue light on and it was extremely hot. We notified Danny, we left for the day once we got back the light was still on but temp was cooler at night. There is only one TV in the house which again weird for us Americans but the TV Remote did not want to function properly and only one channel in English the news so not a whole lot to watch there. The kitchen does not have a full Stove only portable top counter oven but we didn’t cook anything during our stay do there was no problem. There is a wonderful fire pit sitting area by the river in the backyard of the property but no firewood avaible and the fire pit was full of water as we visited during rain season. In the backyard there is a beautiful area to play freely trampoline and soccer goals. The pool house bedroom bathroom was not finished so only the commode available no sink or shower to use. We would had loved to have available Sitting stools for kitchen countertop as the mosquitoes were so bad in the beautiful balcony. The bedrooms don’t have closets so maybe a bit more storage solutions would had been nice as oursolution we did not unpack for the 4 nights 5 days. There is a washer but no dryer. We had to go into town to wash and dry our wet clothes.

This place was very relaxing. Lots of places to sit down and enjoy the sites and sounds of nature. I loved relaxing on the deck in the hammock swing especially in the morning.

We absolutely loved our stay here and miss it already. The house was beautiful and it was close to the store and places to eat. It felt private even though it's close to the main road. It's not too far of a drive to La Fortuna where there's a lot to do and see. (Great food there) Danny was a great host and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

This was such a fun stay for us. The pool, hot tub, and yard kept my kids and teen happy and coffee with sloth in a nearby tree kept mama happy. Close to stores and local restaurants for meals and all the supplies needed for cooking at the house. Hot water at the kitchen sink was a challenge but otherwise a perfect stay and super close to Fortuna and Arenal as well.

This place was amazing! Within driving distance of La Fortuna with plenty to do all around. The house was clean and Danny was a very responsive host. The only downside was the jacuzzi never got warm. We were told it would take two hours to warm up and we gave it plenty of time to kick in to no prevail. Something that didn’t affect our stay but would have made it that much better! I recommend this to everyone and will definitely look to book again if when we return!!

Villa Cocos is conveniently located close to the town of La Fortuna which has lots of great restaurants, shops and adventurous activities. The property is beautiful with lush foliage and a river running through it. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and drank coffee on the deck in the mornings while watching the sloth in the tree. Danny provided fantastic recommendations on activities and set up massages at the house, plus COVID testing for airlines and transportation to the airport. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Villa Cocos!

We absolutely loved this property just a short 15-minute drive from La Fortuna. My husband and I stayed here after our wedding, and a couple of our friends came with us. The pool was a bit chilly, so we utilized the hot tub instead, which was still amazing! The host was kind, attentive to our needs, and quickly responded to an WhatsApp messages we needed to send (needed extra trash bags). We would definitely stay here again,

My family and i stayed here. It was a great place. Right by river, and what they call a "SODA" restaurant. which was a few minutes walk down. The patio view was nice and relaxing. The swimming pool and spa were both great ways to relax after a fun day of hiking and adventure. There is a small town near by within minutes drive. We would stay here again. House is clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Danny was very communicative, and the property was wonderful for exploring , my children loved playing in the river and it was so nice to have that available to them. The kitchen is a little difficult to cook a full meal in and there is not hot water for washing dishes which is a little strange. But overall it was very nice!

Great house located just outside of la fortuna. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing for our family. The town it is in is not a touristy place which our family prefers. Communication with Danny was great and he was helpful with anything we needed. I would recommend this for anyone who likes being close to everything with a little space from the tourist hub. This property is just off a main road and has so much to offer! The pool in the courtyard in the center of the house was just lovely, as was the hot tub just above it up a stone path. There was a lovely porch with fairy lights that made for wonderful evening relaxation, and the property includes a huge open lawn, to with an outdoor kitchen and large pool at the end of the lawn (we didn't use them, the house pool was great!), And on the other side of the lawn and pool, a rushing river to play in! It was just beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife, from hens and a rooster to a sloth in the tree just outside the house! The only downsides... If you're planning on cooking, the kitchen is very minimal with a microwave, toaster oven, and what looked like a hot plate that could be used for a burner. We were not cooking, so that didn't bother us. The beds weren't the most comfy, but we know we're spoiled by our great mattresses at home. The house was maybe a 5 minute walk from a grocery, pharmacy, and some restaurants, but I recommend a car to get to all the amazing things to do around la fortuna. The host was very responsive and helpful and we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

While everything appeared nice in the photos, upon closer inspection things could have used some work. Such as the lack of hand towels, paper towels, or extra towels for that matter. The master bathroom shower did not have hot water. There was a Random exposed electrical conduit underneath the kitchen island and there were holes in several of the screens. The check in process was difficult as we did not have great cellphone service and did not have the actual address listed on the vrbo site. We had to wait around an hour to be able to get the correct address. After that the host was very responsive and even gave us a bottle of wine and some Coffee since we were on our honeymoon. Overall the stay was fine, it could just use some work.

We loved this spacious home. It was perfect for me and my 7 family members. All your Fortuna activities are about 20 minutes away. We felt 100% safe in this area and Danny was always communicating with us if we needed anything. We loved our stay and will gladly return!
