Sleeps 6 The best of all worlds come together at this Lovers Point retreat located just steps away from the beach and the Monterey Peninsula Recreation Trail, and just a short walk away from Pacific Grove’s downtown attractions. The sound of whispering waves will lull guests to sleep at this renovated home, originally built in the 1980s in a classic style that fits into Pacific Grove’s Victorian neighborhoods. The two-story home offers modern conveniences along with a rustic coastal vibe, and welcomes well-mannered dogs under 25 pounds, with a fully fenced back yard that provides privacy and peace of mind. Besides being just steps from the beach, the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom,1,916-square-foot residence is also only a few minutes away from Monarch butterfly sightings in Pacific Grove, Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Downtown Monterey, Carmel and golfing in Pebble Beach® are a 10-minute drive away, and other attractions within a half hour’s drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village. Living Spaces Guests enter the front entryway with leaded glass front door into the cozy living room, which has comfortable upholstered furniture around the gas fireplace and 65-inch HDTV. A half-bath is located on this level. Kitchen and Dining The kitchen offers premium appliances including a Viking four-burner gas range, a Miele dishwasher and SubZero refrigerator, as well as a large sink with pullout faucet, accented by black countertops and a black and white tile backsplash. The large kitchen features counter seating adjacent to the dining room with rustic wooden table that can seat up to 8 people. Outside A back door from the dining area leads to the fully-fenced back yard with brick patio. Succulents and flowering plants offer grace notes along a path through a white pergola. The back yard is a natural gathering place with a gourmet gas grill and fire pit table with seating for 6, the perfect setting for nighttime stargazing while listening to the cry of seagulls in the distance. Bedrooms and Bathrooms Upstairs, the three bedrooms all have plush carpet, 50-inch HDTVs equipped with Comcast Xfinity cable and Roku for streaming services, and are decorated in soothing tones of gray, blue and white. Bedroom #1 includes a California king bed, seating area, full-length mirror, gas fireplace and a peek of the ocean. A small desk provides work space when needed. Custom tile, a large walk-in shower with a high shower head, dual sinks and a large mirror are all part of the en suite bath. Bedroom #2 has a California King bed, seating area, full-length mirror and a small writing desk with a view of the ocean. Bedroom #3 has a California King bed, seating area and mirror. Upstairs there is a large hall bath with dual sinks, custom tile and a tub-shower combination. Downstairs there is a powder room / half bathroom near the living areas. The garage features an EV car charger and a stacked washer and dryer. The garage can accommodate one large vehicle and one small car, and parking for two in the driveway. Well-behaved small dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum. This vacation home is professionally managed by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. Four sixty something friends from college got together from all over CA in Point Break for our 3-4 year reunion and we had a lovely time. The house is very well appointed, excellent location, lots of good conversation areas. We stayed three nights and the only very small recommendation would be to add some oven mitts/pot holders -- there may have been some but we couldn't find them lol. Would highly recommend.

Property is as advertised. Overall clean and comfortable. Walking distance to everywhere in Pacific Grove and even aquarium in Monterey was only a mile walk. Our group was 3 adult couples so having kingsize beds in each room was nice. We had two small sports cars that fit in garage, though one side was very tight. Driveway/street clearance also an issue. Carpeting in bedrooms is becoming a little worn but we would definitely stay here again!

The house was the cleanest we have seen and we have seen many. The open construction on the first floor is a great contrast to some other rentals with small rooms that defeat social gatherings. The WiFi is truly high speed. I measured no less than 50 Mbps to over 200 on the first floor. Some rentals call 3 Mbps high speed. We had a couple of minor problems which were fixed very promptly in a friendly and professional manner. The kitchen is well equipped for a rental. It is close to the ocean, ocean walks, good restaurants, Pauls bakery and the aquarium. We had a great time and hope to repeat the experience next year.

Just steps from the shoreline and trail along the coast, Point Break was well appointed for our family. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well-stocked, and our kids enjoyed the games that were available. We went for many walks along the shore - saw dolphins, otters, harbor seals and many birds - and enjoyed tide-pooling during low tide. Steps to Lighthouse Ave with its many wonderful restaurants and coffee shops and close to Carmel. Part of our group took a day trip to Pinnacles National Park. Pacific Grove is a wonderful town - fun to look at all of the old early 20th c. homes in the neighborhood. We definitely recommend this property and location!

There were some issues with the door keypad that never got resolved. The washing machine was not working and they knew it because it was unplugged and the cord was hanging over a short wall.
Overall the property itself was really nice with the exception of being in need of a replacement of all the carpet. The layout of the home is exceptionally good and the location was optimal.

The house was in a magnificent location-close to the beach, restaurants and walking trails. The kitchen was well stocked-which isn’t always trued with rentals. The bedrooms were nice-comfy beds. Sanctuary rentals were helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. The carpets were a little grungy but I am sure it is due to all the foot traffic. The yard does look bigger on the photos then it actually is but the fire table was nice to sit around.

Extremely well-appointed property. All the kitchen equipment was top of the line. Furnishings were great. 3 comfortable king size beds upstairs. Perfect location a few blocks from the beach. Plenty of room for parking in the garage or in front of the garage. The next time we come to Pacific Grove this is the property we would chose. We would not look anywhere else.

Comfortable with high end touches! We can't wait to come back to this amazing home. It is in a perfect location - walking distance to the water and town - and super close to the aquarium & Cannery Row. Wonderful shops and cafes just a short walk up the block. The home itself was perfect for our small family, but we could see it would be a perfect place for 3 couples since each room has a king size bed. The master bedroom is amazing - fireplace, desk area, sitting area and super comfy bed. We were welcomed with wine, cheese & crackers & the management company checked in on the first day to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this place - I've already recommended it to several friends.

We spent a week in the Point Break house and had a fantastic time. As they say, location, location, location. Walk out the door, turn right, Lovers Point. Turn left, Lighthouse Ave with the restaurants, cafes, shops. The night of arrival, the propane tank for the fire pit was empty. A quick phone call and a replacement tank was delivered the next day. The upstairs hallway bathtub was clogged and not draining. The kitchen faucet had a leak. Both of these required a plumber, who arrived within 48 hours to address both issues. Sanctuary mgmt provided a $400 rebate, which was greatly appreciated. The house was immaculate, kitchen well stocked, mgmt very responsive to the reported issues. Would stay here again.
