We came to Cloudcroft to get away from the city and get the kids into some snow. We are a military family from upstate NY and the kids have grown up with snow. We were lucky enough this weekend to have a snow storm come through. We enjoyed your home and allowing us to use it for the weekend!

Very nice place! Felt like a home not a hotel from the first steps inside. Beautiful property, great location and hosts.

Loved our stay in Cloudcroft. The fireplace was wonderful, everything was clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked. It is a beautiful area. We got to experience the first snow of the year and it was so nice to have a covered parking area. Would definitely stay here again!

This is our third time visiting Cloudcroft but our first time at this house. We absolutely love staying here! It was close enough to town but yet far enough to feel somewhat secluded. The house backs up to the Lincoln National Forest so you have no neighbors behind you. We love that we can include our pups. There were plenty of staples that were provided ie hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels. The backyard fence isn’t much but our dogs preferred to sit on the front porch. We will definitely book here again. Thank you!

this is a lovely cabin nestled among pine trees backing into the Lincoln National Forest, with access to forest trails and close proximity to cloudcroft village with restaurants, shops, and activities. property Manager was very responsive to our needs. We’re especially loved the two covered balconies with forest views. The backyard has a fenced in area for dogs. Carmen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Living area had a nice fireplace with high ceilings and lots of natural light. Master bedroom mattress was extremely comfortable.

Stayed for a week during the summer girlfriend and dog. We both worked remote from here for the week and had no internet issues with us both on video calls at the same time. Amazing weather, hiking, and views.

This is a very clean and comfortable rental! The owners were available and will assist you if you have any questions!
This property is both child and pet friendly! We spent most of our time on the front porch! We highly recommend this rental!

We stayed for the full month of July in this beautiful home. The backyard literally butts up to the High Altitude Trail in the forest and you can walk for miles and miles. While in the house, we saw deer and elk and wild horses. Just amazing! Aimee was the perfect host...answering any questions in a very timely manner. The house is fully stocked with towels and paper products and there is no need to bring any seasonings for cooking. It's all there!! I should point out that the fence in the backyard literally comes up to my knees, so my Newfoundland dog could easily step over it if he wanted. Luckily, he's a good boy and he stayed put, But if you have a dog that is a jumper...just know the fence will not keep your dog in or other dogs out. That was literally the only "negative" thing about this home. We spent many hours on the back porch looking out into the forest and enjoying the sounds of nature. You can't go wrong with this home.

Very nice property in a great location. A great mini vacation!

A nicely designed house which is lacking a little TLC. More emphasis is required on cleaning. There were lots of debris under the couch, dirty freezer, dust everywhere-inside and out, old dog poop in the backyard, lights in both bathrooms (we replaced the bulbs) and front porch not working, window wells were covered with dust and dead moths. Both bathroom exhaust fan grills were extremely dirty. The BBQ grill was filthy. We had to scrub the pots before using and the frying pans were so scratched that they were unusable. No soap was supplied at the bathroom sinks or in the shower. A pillow on the couch had food debris.
We enjoyed the fresh mountain air and the cool breezes on the front porch along with the brewery nearby, great pizza. The beds were comfortable.

The place was perfect for our needs. There is a fenced yard for our dog, and the front porch has a gate so he can be on the porch with us without having to be on a leash.
The place backs up to the national forest. My husband loved being able to walk out the back door and pick up a hiking trail. The place is very comfortable, all one level, except a couple of stairs at the back door.. Very quiet. We absolutely loved it.

Perfect for our little family. Had everything we needed, was close to town and very clean. Thank you!

This cabin was beautiful, well-equipped and in an ideal location. We want to stay again! Our only problem was the master bedroom bed was not comfortable to us. It was quite firm and had memory foam on top. After the first night we moved to the second bedroom queen bed and we were much more comfortable.

It's a beautiful, well-appointed home adjacent to a National Forest. It's dog-friendly and our Golden Retriever, Jessie, loved being in the back, fenced in area where she could smell everything. The last morning we were there, she got to see 10 deer. Easy access to the shops and restaurants in Cloudcroft. Highly recommended.

Everything was great, but backyard fence could only keep in a dog without the ability to jump. Literally 18” tall, but that is the only issue with the property

We enjoyed the stay at the cabin. It was in a good location and the town is very friendly, too.

This was a great experience, both the location and property itself are great! You get direct access to the trails right out the back door, can’t get much better than that!
One main note is that the fence in the rear is not sufficient for keeping a pet enclosed as it’s only two or so feet tall. Dogs next door were barking whenever we were outside, but that didn’t keep us from seeing wildlife like deer from the back deck.
If we’re back in the area I’d definitely consider coming back!

The home was very clean and had everything we needed. I loved the TV program options and the comfortable living room couches. The bedrooms were comfortable and there were even a few toys for the kids to play with. I loved the outdoor furniture and grill. The house was so inviting, clean, and just perfect for that family vacation. The home was central to town, but it had a backyard forest to take walks in. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much!

We were looking to reconnect with nature and this home did that. The house backs up to the national forest so there was lots of wildlife and exploring.

The house was clean and comfortable. It was also pet friendly, so that was a bonus for us to be able to bring our dog on our vacation with us. The fireplace was tricky and we only got it to work twice.

What a wonderful cabin retreat! 10/10 and higher than that! Not a single negative to list.
Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful cabin. We will most certainly be back!

Everything was perfect for an extended weekend getaway from Texas to Cloudcroft. It had just snowed earlier in the week so some of the neighborhood roads had a combination of snow and ice, but still navigable with 4wheel drive. Loved how the back yard opened up to the forest with plenty of space to explore. The first morning we explored everywhere on foot, starting with a 10 minute walk to chamber of commerce and the Pioneer Village museum. Enjoyed the downtown shops and dining. Spent another day doing all things snow—ice skating at the park and then over to Ski Cloudcroft for tubing. Took a day trip into Alamogordo to the Air and Space Museum, PistachioLand, and White Sands. The house was well stocked with games, kitchen items, and basic condiments. Would stay again!

This cabin was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to come back! It was wonderfully stocked, very clean and was the perfect location. A couple blocks from town and behind you is all forest. The kids loved being able to sled right out the back door. The wildlife was such a joy to watch too. Easy check-in and even easier check-out. We are already planning our trip back!

Such a nice house located directly against the Lincoln National Forest. Fully equipped with everything you need, & only a 15 minute walk from town. So convenient, clean, & nice. 5 stars from me!

This cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. It was spacious, clean, and gorgeously situated. The Lincoln National Park was literally in the backyard. The fireplace and large dining table were tastefully decorated for the season. We had an unexpected snow storm that brought several inches of the beautiful white stuff to the cabin, and Aimee reached out to me before I could even worry about it to let me know she arranged for someone to come and snowplow the driveway. My only recommendation would be to drive a 4x4 or a vehicle that has a higher clearance if you visit during a season where snow is possible, but that would be the case for any visit to Cloudcroft during late fall and winter months. We’ll be back!

We have stayed at several VRBO locations in the Cloudcroft area and liked them all but this location was, by far, the best. The cabin (home?) was immaculate, kitchen well equipped, the beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. The back porch is a great place to watch for wildlife since the property abuts the national forest. There is a small fenced in area in the back which our dog made use of and where he could "talk" to the puppers next door. It's a fairly short walk to Cloudcroft Brewery, although the walk back is up a steep hill and the walk to Burro Ave is less than a mile. We plan to be back

We had a great long weekend stay. Cabin is clean, quiet and well equipped with necessities. Front porch was a great place to enjoy time. The tv's are well equipped with channels/apps which was nice.

Second time renting the property. Spent time just listening to nature out the back door. The herd of Elk came through and stayed for several hours. The hosts have the property designed to make you feel right at home. Will be back.

This is a fantastic property; it is conveniently located in town, but you have the feeling of seclusion… the house is lovely, and was very clean and ready to go when we arrived. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable. The front lock was challenging, but I handled it. The temperature was ideal. Sure hate going back to the heat.
