From the moment you walk into this lovely home, you will feel the presence of the long serving navy family, ship captain, naval historian/USNA grad. There are reminders throughout of the hard work and loyalty this family have to each other and the comfort they have found in the many gathering spaces in the home. Looking for a family resort-like stay, bring the family bikes, and hop on the B&A Trail just block from the home, and head less than a mile into the quaint Severna Park town to Big Bean Coffee, Froyo House and Squisito Pizza! Enjoy the 3 outdoor spaces, 2 of which have fire pits; a large 4-seasons room, perfect for enjoying a Maryland Crab Feast! On the main floor, spread out to watch the flatscreen TV in the large family room with a wood-burning fireplace, or enjoy the owners impressive collection of books in the living room. The 4 spacious bedrooms upstairs, plus the kids bunk space and hangout space in the basement, makes the house perfect for families looking for plenty of room to spread out and relax. It was the perfect stay for our family. It’s large, has plenty of beds and bathrooms, and it’s in a nice residential neighborhood. The house was clean and the property managers were responsive. Definitely recommend it.

The home was beautiful and provided a comfortable and relaxing stay for our family. The young ones really enjoyed their private basement getaway. The pictures in the post accurately portrayed the home; which is not always the case. There were a few glitches. The entry code given us prior to check in did not work and we had to contact agent to provide a different code. This all happened in a reasonable amount of time. There were also ants, and the few ant traps set out couldn’t keep up. Again, not altogether unreasonable given the time of year and the age of the home. We also had to run out and get more toilet paper and hand soap soon after arriving. When we mentioned these concerns to the agent post-stay, she suggested we should have contacted her and she would have treated for the ants and brought replacement supplies by. This felt like we were at fault for not contacting her sooner. However, we paid over $500 per night for the stay, before cleaning and processing fees and taxes, so we feel those supplies should have been present without our requesting them. Other than that, the stay was enjoyable and we would recommend the location to our friends.

This was the perfect place for my family of 6 adults. We were visiting with our son and his wife and baby who live in the neighborhood. A wonderful home with lots of space and areas to gather. Very well appointed kitchen, comfy beds and a great location. We will be back.

We were a group of 9, we loved the property! For IDAY it took us only 15 mins to get to the stadium. Everything we needed was there!

We came out to visit family in the area. Nice quiet neighborhood close to bike and walking trail. We have a family of 11 and the house was just perfect for all of us. The seating area out front was nice to gather at night with the fire table. Prompt response for any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Sean and Cathy of iTrip provided excellent customer service. The house is in a great location but extremely dated, and smelled so old and musty that we had to re-wash our clothes to get the smell out when we got back home. The owners could do some basic work to bring the home into a proper modern VRBO experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Sailors' Sabbatical. We were welcomed with a beautiful floral arrangement, a complimentary bottle of wine, and snacks. This is a lovely home, spacious and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The home is conveniently located in a safe, quiet neighborhood, just a short distance from USNA. We 100% recommend staying here!

The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and was decorated for Christmas, which was a nice surprise. My family felt at home as we sat around the kitchen table chatting and catching up. Plenty of room for all.

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway with college friends! Plenty of room for everyone, close to downtown and marinas for boating. The fire pit and screened in porch were our favorite places at the house! Great proximity to BWI. We had a wonderful weekend!!

This house was a great, spacious home for a family reunion with our Midshipman. We cooked all our meals here and enjoyed breakfast in their screened in porch every morning. The kitchen was perfect for entertaining, while cooking . The beds were super comfortable and ample room for a family of 7. Our tweens and teens absolutely enjoyed the basement.with 2 sets of bunk beds & trundles. They played video and board games with their older brother , the midshipman that they hadn’t seen in a month . Great neighborhood close to many things. We would absolutely rent again for any Naval Academy event. I highly recommend.

Weekend Weeding Trip
The property gave us adequate space for my sister and her bridal party. Between doing 11 girls hair, makeup, & our photographer capturing every movement was perfect. The guest range from 3 yrs to 72 yrs old. The house wasn’t exactly elderly friendly due to all the steps but overall we made the best of it. Now Sean did message us about 33 guest being at the house and remind us it was “neighborhood” which was kind of unexpected and unusual as the house didn’t occupied no more then 15-18 people before and after the wedding. I’m not sure what type of system he has to determine cellular active or motion but it was definitely incorrect. But overall the bride was happy, my family was happy and that what matters the most.

Easter Weekend
We booked Sailors' Sabbatical for a last minute trip to see our son at USNA. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals. There were many places set up to hang out. We enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. This would be an excellent house to rent for a large group because there are so many beds! If the Mids were allowed to spend the night, we could have hosted our son and 7 friends, plus our family! This is about a 15 minute drive to USNA or DTA.
