Situated in Lake Vermilion, this attractive cabin for $810 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Vermilion Miles Away Lodge is a custom log cabin set against a spectacular ledge rock outcropping with 6 acres of wilderness, 380 feet of shoreline, and 40,000 acres of Lake Vermilion to explore! Breathtaking panoramic island studded views await! The log cabin boasts 2,700 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a huge loft with amazing views overlooking the lake, and a wood burning sauna house complete with a shower, sink, and futon. A short walk through the woods brings you to your own secluded wilderness picnic area and fire pit on a rocky point in Pike Bay. Hang out down on the lake on the amazing platform deck right on the water! Umbrella, hammocks, lounge chairs, two fishing kayaks, and paddleboat included! There is also a ladder on the dock for easy access for swimming right at the dock. It is about 4' deep at the end of the dock with no rocks, great for jumping in and swimming or hooking a lily pad up to the dock and lounging in the water. The lake bottom is slightly muddy at the end of the dock and transitions to sand/gravel about halfway down the dock. Great for hanging out in thigh deep water right off the platform deck with your favorite drink. The cabin is conveniently located less than 2 miles down the road from Fortune Bay Casino and The Wilderness Golf Course, the #2 ranked public golf course in Minnesota! Many other adventures await including miles of snowmobiling and ATV trails, a 40 minute drive to the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Park, a 10 minute drive to the Soudan Mine State Park, a 30 minute drive to Giant's Ridge Golf and Ski Hill, and a 25 minute drive to the beautiful town of Ely! There is a boat launch at Fortune Bay Casino just down the road, as well as ample dock space at the cabin for your boat on calm Pike Bay! Spent New Years weekend with our family. Kids loved the loft area, plenty of space for everyone and kitchen had all the amenities we needed. Great stay!

Beautiful cabin with plenty of space for indoor and outdoor entertaining. We had 4 adults and 5 little kids up for Thanksgiving. The views are stunning and the sauna was my favorite part. Property Manager was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

This property was very clean and had great views to the lake. There was plenty of deck space and patio space. Nick was great and very easy to work with. Everyone that came up and stayed at this cabin really enjoyed there time. Close to public boat launches, the golf course, and the casino. I defiantly would recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. The main cabin has all the amenities you could need! The sauna and garage (featuring air hockey, darts and ping pong) was a hit as well! The property was easy to navigate and wonderfully outfitted. The kayaks and water gear was tremendously helpful and in great condition. All in all, if you're thinking of Lake Vermillion for your next stay with a large group, this spot cannot be topped!

I stayed at Nick’s place with my husband, kids, my parents, and my in-laws to fish and spend some down time. We love staying on Lake Vermilion and this cabin was the perfect place to do that. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The view from the loft was incredible and it had a great yard for the kids to play! If you’re looking to do some fishing or just hanging out by a beautiful lake, I’d definitely recommend this place!

This property had everything needed for an Iron Range winter getaway. The location is convenient to both Ely and the Virginia area. The kitchen is well stocked with everything for those who like to cook when traveling, and convenience/grocery stores are not too far away. Communication with the owner was excellent, and they were generous in sharing both the property and equipment like snowshoes. Would definitely stay again.

Myself and three friends used the property for a long weekend snowmobile trip. Was a perfect location to access the lake and trails and is located close to the casino for some dinning options when we wanted to drive. Sauna was a nice bonus and can only imagine the property is as nice come the summer months.

Breath taking views, great access to all destination points on the lake! Tower, casino, trails! Everything is right there! The cabin itself is everything that it appears to be in the pictures, just very comfortable and nicely appointed! Truly looking forward to our next stay in two weeks!

We had a group snowmobile trip and this place was awesome for a group of 10. Great views and open concept cabin to hang out. Snowmobile trail ran right in front of the property on the lake, and there is plenty of room for truck/trailer parking. Property owner made everything extremely simple. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful property for a family get away. Wonderful view of the sunrise across the lake. We made the short trek to Giant's Ridge for a couple days of skiing. Nick was wonderful to work with. He is very professional and attentive.

Nice quiet location, lots of wildlife (deer, grouse, loon). heard a Beaver cutting down a nearby tree while sitting around the bonfire. The house has a lot of space, and nice areas to get together for meals.
