This cozy cabin is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. It's just minutes from beaches and historical sites. Guests are less than a five minute walk to the historic Penn Center where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr wrote parts of his “I have a dream speech.” The efficiency-style cottage is a 12 minute drive to Hunting Island and Fort Freemont beaches. Some of the best restaurants and bars on this sea island are just minutes away. Downtown Beaufort and the beautiful waterfront is also nearby. When you first arrive at this quiet retreat you will notice a porch that is a perfect spot for drinking a cup of coffee while listening to the birds chirp. It’s also lovely to sit outside in the afternoon and watch the squirrels hide their nuts as the sun goes down. Inside the home features a full-sized bed and full-sized pullout sofa. The kitchenette features a countertop burner, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, and George Forman grill. It features a deep sink perfect for rinsing out sandy bathing suites. There is wifi. There is also a TV with a Roku. Please note - this space is about 350 square feet inside. This space can accommodate up to four people. It features a big yard that your children will enjoy playing in. This home is a great place to unplug. Our little cabin is a perfect place to stay when coming into town for the Gullah Festival, Water Festival, Heritage Festival or just for sightseeing.

Loved the location and seclusion, so much better than a hotel. Great for our dogs going outside. Very cozy. 😃

It was truly wonderful! It was tucked away and private! We loved it! Drank coffee on the front porch every morning! Just a 15 min drive to the beach at the State Park! Ate dinner at Dockside Restaurant which had fabulous food and watched the boats through the huge windows! We will be back to this cabin! It was truly a great get a way from Columbia SC!!!

We loved our stay on St Helena. The cabin was the perfect size for us. We explored the local area and ate fabulous Gullah food. It was spotless and cozy. We can't wait to come again.

I can’t begin to express how thankful I am for this stay! My spouse and I loved the tiny cabin and nicknamed it the “love shack” because it was the perfect spot for just the two of us to relax and recharge for the weekend! We enjoyed many local restaurants, beaches, and exploring over the weekend! Loved the convenience of the property being close enough to do so much but enough off the beaten path that we could sleep well at night! Thank you so much for sharing this location with us and we will be back again!! Sandra is amazing and offered many suggestions for us as well! The home was clean! We loved the neighbor dog as well!

Perfect spot for my 6 month old puppy and me to explore the beach at Hunting Island SP as well as walking trails in Port Royal and Beaufort. The cottage had everything we needed. Hoping to return soon!

While staying at this cozy spot we found it to be centralized to all of the kayaking, biking and outdoor activities we arrived for. The owners were very cordial. This will be added to my list of get aways.

This cozy little cabin was perfect for a couple getaway to the beach. The decor is this cabin made it feel like home. It was clean, comfortable and conveniently located to adventure out to other islands. And super convenient to Hunting Island State Park, where we spent alot of our time. Also, pet friendly, which was great for us to be able to bring our animals to the beach with us. Thank you so much for a perfect vacation spot. We will be back. 😊

Ms. Sandra is very sweet and stopped by to welcome us when we got there! Photos on the listing could use an update as it looks pretty different inside. The property is also close to other properties and cars are around. I agree with someone else who said there’s a gap in the door. We did enjoy that the property was only a 10-15 minute drive to everything we wanted to do while here and a short 5 minute drive to an awesome breakfast/coffee shop.

Overall, nice place to stay. Great location to the beaches. Owner very nice. Quite area. Internet is great! Things that would make it a GREAT place to stay; needs larger TV on the wall, a table to eat at that goes with the 2 chairs, a shelf in the bathroom at the sink for toiletries, a regular or Keruig coffee maker and hotel style towels.

Local to so much!
This property is a small one room cottage located just steps from the Penn Center and Chapel of Ease. Perfect little front porch for a morning coffee. We were easily able to drive to Beaufort and Hunting Island. Hostess was very gracious and responds quickly to messages.

Relaxing & peaceful stay
My family and I had a lovely stay. The cabin met our expectations. It was clean, cozy, quaint and comfortable. We enjoyed our time in the Sea Islands learning more about the history of the area. We hope to come back again soon.

But the real charm of a stay here is Sandra who ensured that we and our two Westies felt as though we were at home. Her thoughtfulness and charm were clearly heartfelt.

I had a delightful stay in this little cabin and wish I could have stayed longer! The history in the area is deep and it was a short drive to Hunting Island State Park which had great trails and beaches! Sandra and family were very responsive and friendly.

We did not find a table that we could dine on inside, but there really isn't room for one. Our 2 small (12lb) dogs enjoyed the place. The owner lives behind this place and they have 3 large dogs. Those dogs are very friendly. You can tell this family has put alot of work into this place. It is great if you are passing through or staying a few nights.

Also, our kids said the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The rental is so small that less pictures on the walls and more shelves would also be helpful and a larger TV mounted on the wall would be awsome. The hostess was very responsive and helpful.

My husband and I took a quick trip for our anniversary and stayed here for the weekend. The host is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Everything was exactly as it was listed. The cabin itself is all you need for two people and it has everything you need. We will definetly be back.
