Gorgeous home from home. Beautifully decorated - lovely style, chic. Comfortable rooms, well facilitated kitchen, very convenient location. Lots of facilities - board games, Netflix, 2 bathrooms, parking, quiet.

The cottage was beautiful, everything was there that we needed for our stay.

The old stables were comfortable and clean . There was a little welcome tray with milk sugar, coffee ,tea ,cereals , jams etc. Toiletries, towels and loo roll all provided. A welcome booklet with information, contact numbers,taxi numbers, attractions etc Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for our family of 6 .All in all a great place to stay.

This was a very lovely, clean house in a great location. It was a quick 10 minute walk into town. Bedding was comfortable and the house was very nicely decorated. Jam, peanut butter, caramel bars, tea/coffee was all provided for free.
The shower downstairs is in need of repair as well as there are some squeaky doors/floors upstairs.

The house was clean, large, and as described other than the wi fi.We were delighted to see there was internet at the property even though the booking.com site indicated that there was no internet.
The beds were comfortable, and the linen good quality.
The kitchen had everything required for a family to be able to cook meals.The location was great and the off-street parking was a real bonus.
The heating worked well when required,as did the washing machine/drier
I would be happy to recommend this property for anyone wishing to visit Dumfries.
The back garden needs some tidying up.Other than that small point the property, they met all expectations for a family.

very pleasant cottage, clean and comfortable.
found it unusual that shower was downstairs in laundry. an unpleasant smell appeared in this room at times, mainly in the morning.

We stayed here for a weekend to attend an event at the Dumfries Ice Bowl. It was a great location for that being only a few minute drive away. Also, a walk into the center of town only takes 10 minutes.
The property was clean and comfortable, with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Free Wifi worked great. Communication from the owner was great, and she answered a couple of questions prior to our stay promptly.
The small tray of breakfast cereals and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers was a very nice touch.
We will definitely consider staying again.
The only thing that could be improved is having a shower in the upstairs bathroom. The shower downstairs was great, but only a bath upstairs. However, it is not a major issue.

Place was very spacious and light. Very clean. I liked the private off street parking and safe outdoor area for our dog. And if it would be summer then definitely would do BBQ. Very big TV is a bonus+ large comfy sofas.

We had 2 nights at this property, which was great to just chill out and relax for that time. The property had everything you need. Beds were very comfortable and there was 2 bathrooms, upstairs had a bath in it and downstairs had a shower including a washing machine in that bathroom.
The house was easy to find with parking right at the front door, and it was also lovely and clean,
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property for short term or longer-term holiday.
There was nothing to dislike.

When we pulled up i thought it looked to small for the 6 of us but it was like a tardis when we went through the door the house was really spacious and easily accommodated us all the rooms were clean and comfortable everything was provided even down to board games wouldn't hesitate to use this place again.

The Old Stables was very clean and welcoming. It was tastefully furnished and had everything needed for a stay away from home. Sukhi had also provided thoughtful extras……soap, shampoo, tea, coffee etc…….

All quality cutlery/crockery/utensils & cookware,
Immaculately clean,comfy beds,easy private parking for 2 cars right outside,right next to road but never heard any traffic,its detached so no neighbours, lovely back garden(secure) for dogs to be let out off leads,2 loo's 1up 1 down stairs.
Would definitely fo back,highly recommended you to book.It all looks nearly new inside.
Could do with instructions to turn central heating,I messed with buttons til it came on constant so not really a problem,
No bad points,everything seemed good.
