About this house rental
Renovated mid century house. Centrally located so you can walk to everything. Close to shops and walking tracks. Has Bbq and games in the garage in case it rains. Doors from lounge leads to a porch with outdoor table and chairs. There is a garden with fruit and herbs you can help your self too. Kitchen is fully equipped. Including Nespresso coffee machine. Washing machine and clothes line if you need to catch up on washing. Two comfortable queen beds with electric blankets and mattress toppers. And two single beds. All beds have wool or feather duvets. There is a heatpump in lounge and panel heater in hallway for colder winter days.

The property was very clean, had good facilites and was very spacious.
If we're being picky, a recycle bin would have been useful as we had to collect up our recyclables and take to the local supermarket

Location was spacious and good located. Unfortunately the apartment needs a few repairs, e.g. the bathroom windows could not be closed. Cutlery was badly cleaned and too few towels.

Perfectly located for visiting the glaciers area, even a view of the glacier from the kitchen window! Spacious, comfortable house with everything you could need.
Susan was unbelievably helpful both before visiting and after, helping us to be reunited with some things we had accidentally left behind - definitely went above and beyond!

We stayed 2 nights in this comfortable house which is an easy walk to everything in the town of Franz Joseph: restaurants, some local tracks, and experience providers. Good location to drive to Fox Glacier area as well.

This cottage had everything we needed for our brief stay in Franz Josef. Close to shops and restaurants. The house is warm and well fitted out, renovated kitchen and bathroom a plus.

The house was spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of room in the lounge room. Located close to restaurants. Beautiful area. Only one issue was the location of laundry, access from the outside around the other side of house difficult when raining. Overall fantastic stay.

Nice large place in the centre of the town. No issues with property owner themselves. However, neighbouring properties appear to be abandoned or in a state of disrepair

Owner came at exactly 10am to see if we we're out of the property yet which was a bit stressful (esp with 2 kids to clean up after), as we were running about 5-10 mins behind.

I spent there with my family a very nice stay! The house is very clean, very well equipped and beautiffuly decorated, quiet and pleasant. I recommend it without a doubt!

Home located in best location of town with activities and food within 2 minute walk. When I booked long b4 NZ opened I thought inside would be more dated. Home was modern, stylish, spacious And clean. Sheets were amazing - as if they’d been starched and pressed! Note that toilet is separate space from shower.

House is conveniently located right in the middle of the Franz Josef township. Most restaurants are in walking distance and the glacier view and other attractions are only a few minutes drive.
The accommodation can comfortably house 6 people. Amenities can be improved for a more comfortable stay but they are adequate currently.
Communication with the owner was timely and clear.
Overall, a pretty good stay.

Beautiful house in an absolute fantastic location! Literally one street off the Main Street in Franz Josef and took about 2 minutes to walk into the town centre, plus a beautiful restaurant about 20 seconds away!
House was spotless, plenty of room and plenty of toys for our 3 yo daughter to play with, she loved them!
Only down fall was poor water pressure in the shower! Other than that, could not fault this place and can highly recommend to anyone visiting Franz Josef!

Location was really good - handy to everything. Everything was there that we needed. 7 yr old liked the toy cupboard in kids room. Warm house with a good feel to it. Thanks.

the property is in the process of redevelopment. needs more cleaning, there was dust in the wardrobes, the towels were very old and used.

This house has everything you could need in more. Well equipped kitchen, modern interiors, plenty of toys and books for the kiddies and an awesome wee outdoor area that looks out to the street.
We used to live on the West Coast and love to come back whenever we get the chance - its so magical to us. It was awesome to be able to bring a few friends along with our family and stay somewhere modern and cosy, with everything you need (restaurants, bars, walks) a minutes walk from the doorstep.
We would definitely stay again and are thankful to the hosts for proving such an amazing space to stay in.

The Bach was everything we needed. Comfortable beds and easy to heat.
Not having curtains or blinds at the road front side of the property made us feel like goldfish and exposed when in the kitchen and living room and there were no instructions about the property at all. Could not access the washing machine.
