Very friendly host Authentic Mexican home

I arrived just as the annual Festival de San Andrés began. Unfortunately, this meant the café at the hotel was closed. The Festival activities included fireworks 24 hours per day. Merchant booths blocked the streets and were actually fastened to the grill of my bedroom window. Avoid Festival time for your visit!

The room is right on the street, and the antique heavy wood shutters keep out much of the noise but only if they're closed and I prefer some air at night. Since it's in town, there is going to be some noise. It's an old building and the plumbing needs to be updated. The restaurant is not particularly good

It is very close to the plaza. The setting is very pleasant. The atmosphere and the food in the restaurant dry nice. I enjoyed my stay.

The room was clean and large. The king size bed was firmer than mine at home, but I slept better than I usually do. Paola was one of the nicest hosts we’ve ever met and made our stay pleasant and comfortable. Her English is excellent, so if your Spanish is minimal or nonexistent, she’s very helpful and willing to make phone calls, line up transportation, offer advice, etc. I can’t say enough about how positively we experienced our visit thanks to her. Although there is not a breakfast there, there are many excellent choices a short walk away. The location is another big advantage. It’s less than 5 minutes to the plaza and only about 10 minutes to the malecon and many nice shops. We were here during the Dia de Muertos celebration and she had decorated her patio beautifully.
