Lovely old and interesting house with plenty of space and facilities provided (hot tub, books, games, ,garden, music,dining and kitchen equipment) for enjoyable holiday for a large group

Main downside was proximity to crossroads on busy road which produced traffic noise for some of the bedrooms. Also the visitors guide could be a little more relevant in advising about local attractions rather than many which were an unrealistic distance away

A lovely place to stay. The house is quirky but lovely. The photographs really don't do it justice. The accommodation was clean and the beds were comfortable. The owners were very understanding when there was a misunderstanding about the number of adults that it could accommodate and also arranged the return of some coats left at the property. Kitchen was really well equipped and the hot tub was clean, well maintained and really warm. We had an excellent weekend away with friends and family and having the pub over the road made meal times easy. Plenty of parking space and despite being on a busy road the noise wasn't intrusive. We really did wish we could stay longer.

The house was spacious and full of character. The beds were comfortable and clean and there were plenty of towels. We met as a family who have not all been together for some considerable time so had a great time anyway.

The floors had not been hoovered, tin opener didn't work and there was an ice cube tray for only 6 ice cubes. The location is at a busy crossroads so noisy for us as we all live in quiet locations. We struggled to cook for 13 in the Aga style cooker which meant our meals took longer to prepare than we expected.
