AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Property owner contacted me night before stay to pay a 500 euro deposit into their private account within 30 minutes or the stay will be cancelled. We were forced to find other accomodation the morning we arrived into Brussels after the property confirmed they had cancelled our booking via WhatsApp. Everything was prepaid so had to contact Booking.com about everything to prove this as the cancellation fee was our whole nights stay.

The location is great.

The contact with the owner / manager was not good. I was traveling with two kids and booked a place for three. Upon arrival we discovered that the bed was made for two, there was no blanket, no bed linen and no towels for the third person. No hangers for the clothes, and no shower curtain either. I wrote immediately to the owner who did not propose any solution and even stopped answering my questions.

El precio, pero no compensa.

Es muy inseguro, mal cuidado, renovación parcial, mal barrio. - Llovió un día durante nuestra estancia y el apartamento tenía serias goteras. Por poco no se mojan todas nuestras pertenencias. Adjunto foto de las humedades. Estuvimos en el último piso. - El barrio en el que se ubica es peligroso, el hostal da a una plaza en la que hay hombres con mal aspecto a todas horas. Al volver por la noche sientes inseguridad. La puerta de abajo se abre con un código que no tiene pinta de cambiarse nunca, por lo que cualquiera podría entrar. La habitación también funciona con código, una vez dentro de la misma no existe llave ni cerrojo para cerrar desde dentro, por lo que cualquiera que haya estado en el hostal o conozca el código podría entrar en cualquier momento. Siendo mujer, esto genera todavía mayor inseguridad. - Las escaleras de dentro están en muy mal estado. Estuvimos en la última planta. Tienen pinta de no pasar una mínima inspección de seguridad. - Suciedad. El apartamento esta reformado, pero la reforma es muy superficial. Esta poco cuidado, el pomo de la puerta del baño estaba roto y me quedé encerrada dentro. Si me hubiera alojado sola no hubiera podido salir por medios propios, he leído esto mismo en algún otro comentario, por lo que entiendo que el dueño del hostal se desentiende de solucionar cualquier problema. Hay cocina pero no microondas, en general todo sucio, el suelo con plumas de palomas. No hay escoba ni fregona por lo que tampoco puedes limpiarlo tú mismo… Resumen: Nada recomendable, además está lejos de todo menos de la estación (a 15 minutos andando). El centro queda a 40 minutos a pie. Es mejor gastarse 100€ más y quedarse en un lugar más seguro. Booking debería no permitir este tipo de alojamientos en su página, pues no cumple ni lo mínimo.

it was somewhat spacious and the view was nice

we didn’t get extra bedding and my friend had to sleep on the sofa without a blanket. place definitely needs to be renovated. the stairs up to the apartment are creaky and noisy also very dirty. the tiles in the washroom aren’t fixed properly and the shower has mold. i accidentally left my charger there and the owner refused to return it.

DO NOT BOOK THIS APARTMENT AT ALL COSTS. I asked the owner if we could leave our bags at the apartment earlier than the check-in time, they didn't mention any details or times, just overall bad communication. We got to the place, first of all they'd given us the incorrect door code so we were standing outside the apartment in the rain waiting to hear back from the owner to give us the right code (who wouldn't pick up the phone when I'd call them either). We arrive, the cleaner is still in the apartment, we leave the bags in there with her, and come back 3.5 hours later and my backpack was STOLEN, and our suitcases were laid on the floor, clearly attempted to be broken into. I called the owner, and he did absolutely nothing to help me or reassure me which was very shady, I didn't hear back from him until a few hours later. I ended up calling the police immediately, and when they arrived they let me know that the area is very dodgy and that this wasn't the first theft that had occurred in that apartment building (or apartment itself), and told us to stay in a different hotel/apartment or to just go back home. The place is not secure or safe at all, lots of dodgy people hanging around the front entrance who can see the code to open the front door. Everyone around that place will know the codes to the doors - there's no keys or even locks, so there's really no sense of safety. We felt violated and we had left Brussels immediately to go straight back home to Amsterdam as I was in shock and felt extremely on edge in that apartment. AVOID!
