Located at Property Manager on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests. Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills. Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary. Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas. Family Time at Palm Island June 2022
Our family has been going to Palm Island for beach vacations since 1990. We love Palm Island! We have always rented condos on the beach side for our stay. This is the first time we stayed in a house on the island. It was nice that we could all be together but not being on the beach and having the view of the beach is something we missed very much. This house is nice and spacious but not in great shape. The grill on the back porch area was very dirty and moldy. The outdoor furniture on the back porch was also very dirty and moldy.
The front stairs had a number of broken steps, nails sticking up and wood sticking up with lots of splinters.
There was mold around most of the AC ducts and the bathtub in the upstairs bathroom would not plug up.
I would not rent this house again unless I knew there were a lot of things taken care of.
We will return to Palm Island, but will stay in the condos on the beach side.

First time visitors
The experience itself was GREAT! The location of the property was perfect for us, we were there for a wedding and this was right in the middle of where the wedding and reception locations. Due to the hurricane last fall, we understand that things were being repaired/painted/updated and were fine with that. Our only issue was the amount of dog hair on the sides of the couch/loveseat. It was nice to have a regular coffee pot, however for quick and convenience, a keurig would have been nice as well. We will still definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice large house for a family (there were only 2 of us).

A great vacation!
The house was very nice with a few exceptions. The back of the house and the framework in the front porch was covered with mold. The cushions in the living room and front porch need replaced.The front stairs should be replaced.
I hope that I haven't sounded too negative because we loved the location and the amenities ( and the house).

Villa stay
The villa was amazing. We stayed by the bay which I was a bit nervous about but the walk to the beach was close and we were right by the pool. We got a golf cart anyway which helped carry the load to the beach since we traveled with littles. The set up of the villa was amazing for two families sharing the house!
I read online that you can come before check in and the bell person would take your bags and even your groceries. When we arrived a few hours early, the woman checking us in was very unfriendly and seemed frustrated we were there already. I then asked about our bags but said I really just cared about our groceries getting stored somewhere cool. She made a call
To someone in front of me and on the phone mentioning them being understaffed then told me they would get back to me. They did a couple hours later and our villa was 30 mins early too. This was all great! I was just a bit bothered of how unfriendly she was to people arriving for a trip. I did say to her I understood being understaffed but that

Always a fantastic vacation
This was our 12th time visiting Palm Island Resort and we just love coming there with our extended family. We had five groups of people and the facilities work out perfectly for us.

Wonderful Time
This was our first vacation with our child since she was born. It was absolutely amazing. The view from this home was stunning, especially at sunset. The distance to walk to the beach was a bit much for our two year old but renting a golf cart from the resort took quick care of that. The house was very welcoming with stuffed animals, toys for the beach, and games for the family. We did notice that the boards to several stairs going up to the house need fixed as there were very loose and there were a few sharp edges in the fridge where drawers had been broken. It also did take us a minute to figure out how to get hot water. Some of the faucets are switched so once we figured that out there were no issues. Overall this was a wonderful stay and we definitely plan on coming back for years into the future.

Great to be back!
We had a fantastic stay over Memorial Day weekend. I've been visiting since I was a child in the 90s, and last visited December 2021, so I was so relieved to see the island in such great shape after Hurricane Ian. We originally booked a beachfront condo, but were moved to this home instead which worked just fine. More than enough space for four, and it was nice to not have any downstairs neighbors since we have two little kids who are not light-footed. The pool nearest the home was awesome and looked to be recently renovated with bathrooms, lots of seating, and an icemaker. Can't wait to go back, but probably will opt for a beachfront condo purely for the convenience of walking right onto the beach.

First Family Vacation
We had a great first vacation with my entire family. I was not impressed in this unit at all. The rate that is being received for such unit, I would have expected the unit to be similar to what we've stayed in in the past. However, that was not the case. This unit could use some owner's attention.

Summer Vacation
We have been coming here for over 20 years. We always come back to this house for the location and privacy. Construction going on from the Hurricane but it didn't bother us.Everyone was very helpful from the office staff to the bellman the ferryride. Can't wait to come back next year.

June Vacation with my Family
I have been coming to Palm Island now for over 20 years. My boys and I love to fish. In June the fishing is exceptional. Although the mosquitoes were brutal. I'm sure the only thing you can do about that is have the island sprayed. I did encounter a fogging truck before I left. I did ask a question about how many cars are allowed on the island if you are renting a house which accommodates eight adults. The answer was 2, that's the rules. If you have 8 adults and luggage for a week stay, it's nearly impossible to fit all the necessities you will need for the week. The answer I received was that's the rules. The parking lot was half empty during my stay. I'm sure the occupancy rate is something that is studied daily. If this was managed a little more carefully, I'm sure you would know when the parking lot and overflow are near full capacity. This would allow you to accommodate your larger rental properties. I'm pretty sure that 85% of your customers drive 1 car. Other than that, I enjoy coming to Palm Island and continue to point friends and family in your direction for a peaceful vacation getaway.

Family Vacation
Overall the stay was very good. We stayed at a house for rent. The house needs to be upgraded. The shower upstairs the water didn't drain efficiently.The toilets are too small. The beds need to be changed. There is no fire extinguisher. The grill needs to be cleaned and the grease removed. The grill is too close to a palm tree. The house could have a bigger TV.Overall the resort is very good and the staff is very friendly.

Family Vacation 2019
The island is beautiful and a great get away. Crew really did a great job making us feel welcome. The house we rented was a bit dated with issues inside though so I won't be going back to that one specifically.

The Resort is very nice.The Staff is very friendly.We will visit again.The house we stayed in was very dated. It looked like some improvements had been made, but not many. spacious and everything worked. Does need some TLC.

Perfect for families
We have been coming to palm island since kids were small, now daughter wanted to have her 16th birthday here. We rented the house which was very nice and spacious as well as clean. The only issue I have is the beds-one king upstairs but 4 twin beds in the other bedrooms-it would be nice if one of the downstairs rooms had a full or queen for other adults that may stay here, the little twin was a bit hard to sleep and there was no way my husband could have slept on one of those beds! Other than that it was a nice stay and we would consider booking the house again.

Spring Break Family Vacation
We really enjoyed our week at this single family home with everything we needed and a great location to my sister's house on the other side of the pool. The only complaint we had was the cooler weather as we were not able to sit outside on the pretty back porch of the house in the mangroves!

Girls Weekend at the Beach 2018
A great house with all the conveniences of home and walking distance to the beach. Loved the screened in front porch to sit and listen to the waves. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely return.

Very Relaxing Beach Vacation!
Check in and out was easy and quick! The unit was definitely large enough for our party of 8 and we all had plenty of room to spread out. The porches were large and furnished and I loved sitting out on the front balcony in the morning and having a quiet cup of coffee before the kids woke up :) Our single family home had everything you could think of, even board games for the kids. Our home was on the far end of the island but close to the pool, tennis courts, basketball court, and playground. I would recommend renting a golf cart if you have children, as the restaurant was a bit of a hike on foot for the little ones. The unit was a bit dated (seafoam green carpet throughout downstairs) but looked exactly like the pictures, so we knew ahead of time it was not a remolded unit and the price per night was lower than other units, so we were fine with that. The beach was pristine and quiet. The pools were cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough to walk right in. Wonderful experience all around. We will be returning next year.

A delightful retreat
I was pleasantly surprised that even tho we weren't right on the gulf everyone loved the location without the water view. I did want to mention we found a pair of men's shorts and boxers on the front porch behind the couch next to the screen. curious that no one saw them before.

Brief family getaway.
Our family of 6 stayed at Palm Island for only a Monday to Friday stay and we enjoyed every day. Our house was so perfectly located to all our activities. Walk to the beautiful beach, and steps to the tennis courts and swimming pool, restaurant and snack bar. Everyone was easygoing and friendly.

The house rental was just fair. The AC in the main unit wasn't performing properly on the last day and half. Also, the refrigerator wasn't cooling very for part of the week. The twin beds were very unconformable! The home needs to have more upkeep for the rental fee it receives. Staff at the resort were pleasant and helpful. The main restaurant evening meals leaves much to desire. Cart rentals were very expensive.

Roomy but tired
This single family home is spacious but the from the minute we walked In We found things that needed fixed! Luckily, my husband is handy abd he fixed a broken lamp, shower handle that fell off, gas grill knobs and a slow drain in the shower. That was not as bothersome as the filthy carpet both downstairs and upstairs! Who puts carpet in a master bathroom and does not upgrade when it is so spotted and gross??!! When we found the microwave did not work, we did report that and they graciously fixed that problem quickly. Love the staff and island.....just not this home! Paint, tile and new pots and pans would make this home lovely!

We have been visiting palm island since the kids were little. While the resort has become more populated with houses... its still quiet enough for us. Old Florida style with friendly staff and comfortable accommodations.

Holiday retreat
We love the island! Many family memories here. This house is a great space for multi-generations to spend time together. The kitchen appliances all worked fine. The fan in one room stopped working. Mattresses need replacing. The upstairs balconies need new flooring, rough edges and sitting water. Porches were wonderful and the pool and restaurant were additional benefits.

Things are getting dated.
We love the place BUT many - many items are getting dated, alot of units still look like 1980 and should be updated. Our home smelled of must / mold - maybe no one had been it that unit for a while, but the grill & AC & smell should be all checked prior to arrival. In addition the Golf Cart are really needing maint. battery failed many times after full charge. Thanks
