La posizione era ottima, vicina al centro, alla stazione, in una zona molto tranquilla. La stanza comoda e funzionale, dotata di tutto ciò che serve per un soggiorno. La pulizia è un aspetto che non hanno sottovalutato, tutto molto pulito e accogliente.

Se proprio bisogna evidenziare qualcosa che non va è il fatto che, essendo le camere vicine tra loro, qualsiasi rumore proveniente da esso, perché occupato da ospiti, viene avvertito.

The apartment was spotless, towels and bed linen changed for us after first few days. Rubbish bin emptied & bathroom cleaned etc. The fridge in the bedroom was really useful, and the coffee machine & microwave also convenient in the shared lobby area. Francesco was very helpful with information about restaurants, bus routes etc. The location was really good, beach, supermarket, Pizzeria, gelateria all within 5 min walk. Train station & old town about 10 min walk. Would definitely return

Had a great stay at La Casa del Gabbo. Francesco our host was really helpful in the lead up to our stay answering all our questions and providing check in details. Despite our non-existent Italian, Francesco was able to provide a great introduction to the property and Monopoli using a translation app. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a nice comfy bed, large ensuite bathroom (with a great shower), and small balcony where we could enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The property is in a quiet residential area just near the football stadium, only 10-15 minutes walk from the historic centre and maybe 5-10 minutes from the train station. There’s free public parking on the streets surrounding the property. We arrived on a holiday weekend and found there was fairly limited parking nearby (although we did find a space after waiting for 15 minutes). However, after this holiday period parking spaces did seem much easier to find. Once we snagged a parking space outside the property we just left the car there and made the best of the train for visiting nearby towns - it was actually nice having a few days out of the car. Fast Wifi worked well throughout our stay. It’s worth noting the property is on the third floor, and as with many small apartment blocks in Italy, there is no lift so you’ll need to save some energy for the stairs each day. Overall very happy to recommend this property and would definitely stay again if visiting Monopoli.

Very helpful, friendly host. Spotlessly clean, spacious room with balcony and excellent bathroom. Very good location, easy walk to centre, station, and sea. Free on-street parking if needed. All perfect. I have never before given a 10 in a review, but this deserves it.

The apartment is located on the third floor, without elevator, really fun if you have any luggage or are tired :) It's far from the city centre - 15 min walk through a very dirty and dilapidated neighbourhood. I do not understand why this place was so expensive, if the location isn't good. The heat insulation of the house is non-existant - the room, the coridor and the stairways felt like a sauna. And good luck with the air-conditioning, it is blowing right at your head, so it's either dying from the heat, or wake up sick next morning. If you try to cool the room and then turn of the AC, it will become a sauna in 1 hour anyway. The owner spoke no English. Through google translate he recommended some restaurants that had food poisoning incidents before (I checked through google reviews).
