Clean reasonably well equipped apartment. Sofa had stains though.

After confirmation of the booking with my credit card on booking.com I received a mail from the owner that stated that I had to pay a security deposit of Euro 500. This is not mentioned on the Booking com site at the time of booking. Came as a surprise. The mail as below: We hope this email finds you well. You are required to pay a security damage deposit of 500.00 € before your arrival. This deposit will set a pre-authorisation on your credit card: no amount will be charged as long as there aren't any damages in the property.
