Traumhafte Bleibe mitten in der Medina von Tunis

Wunderbares Hotel mitten im Herzen der malerischen Medina von Tunis. Stil und Einrichtung traumhaft-traditionell, Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sympathisch und zuvorkommend, Frühstück sowohl in qualitativer als auch in quantitativer Hinsicht ausgezeichnet. Séjour agréable au cœur de la Médina

J’ai aimé l’emplacement, le restaurant dans l’hôtel, le personnel très gentil et attentif. J’ai apprécié qu’il y ait un petit radiateur dans la chambre parce qu’il faisait froid à Tunis lorsque j’y ai séjourné.

La sol était propre mais le grand tapis au pied du lit était sale. Également, c’est très écho et bruyant quand d’autres clients font de bruit aux autres étages, on entend tout. Les bouchons sont de rigueur.

Excellent stay in the heart of the city with wonderful staff

We were welcomed so lovely at this hotel by the complete staff (especially Nada, so grateful that we met you!). They were very helpful, gave excellent recommendations and always open to have a conversation and listen to our experiences of the city. The hotel is so so beautiful with lots of cosy corners where you can relax.

Highly recommend for a cosy and authentic experience

Staff was definitely the highlight of the stay. Highly recommend for a cosy and authentic experience, suitable for work as well. The location was great, very central and by the souks which makes it easy for fans of artisanal shopping. Breakfast and diner is excellent, the chef is a very nice person too.

Wifi in the bedrooms could be better. When staff was notified they fixed the issue.

A wonderful stay

Lovely atmospheric hotel with beautiful decor. Staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing! Also recommend the restaurant for dinner.

Parking was easy once we found the paid carpark, just 6 minutes walk away. All ended well but there was some confusion in the meantime, as Google had us driving through very narrow streets and almost down steps! If you have a car, ask the lovely staff for a pin of the car park location.

Lo staff disponibile ha reso il soggiorno perfetto. La posizione della struttura ha permesso di girare agevolemente il centro storico di Tunisi, la colazione è ottima e si adattano eventualmente alla richiesta del cliente(nel caso in cui non vogliate una colazione troppo abbondante) e la camera era perfetta, spaziosa e comoda ed essendo una casa nobiliare ristrutturata ad albergo le camere hanno degli intagli stupendi che rendono le camere molto eleganti

Beautiful stay in the heart of the Medina.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The place is a traditional Tunisian house with a beautiful terrace and nicely decorated rooms. The breakfast is rich and diverse.

The bathtub could use some painting/renovation. Besides that little detail, it was a perfect stay.

A little pearl in the old town of Tunis

Located in the old medina you are only a short walk away from the souk and old town of Tunis. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and made me feel like an extra in an "Lawrence of Arabia" movie. Breakfast was delicious.

Difficult to reach by taxi, so make sure you book a taxi from the hotel, otherwise the local taxi's will not drive you all the way to the hotel. But other than that, there is nothing bad to say about the hotel itself

I'hotel est situé dans le souk sans accès de véhicule. Ce qui pause un problème de sécurité à l'accès et la nécessité de se faire aider à tirer la valise jusqu'à la route. Ce n'est pas précisé à la réservation. La surprise a été désagréable. Menu très limité .

Aziz gets my highest praise and recognition.

The hotel is so lucky to have someone as hardworking and passionate with the city and people as Aziz. He speaks many languages very fluently and went above and beyond to give me a good experience of Medina and Tunis. He gave me a lot of advice on where to eat and places to go to. My experience in tunis would not be as magical without his help.

Such a horrible night

First if all i dont know how reviewers gave this facility a 9 score. I booked according to the review but it was a shock for me. After driving for more than an hour in a one car streets and going through all the hassel to reach the hotel via the navigator i gave up and called the hotel to ask for directions. The receptionist said to leave the car in some parking and they will come to get us and there was no safe parking there so one of the employees names suhail came to take us and showed us a parking garage under the streets. We paid around 10 td for parking which is not a problem but on booking.com says hotel has parking. Suhail carried our bag and escort us walking through very small streets which no cars can enter and we reached the hotel after literally walking for about 2 km. Hotel has no elevators and receprionist charged my credit card even before we arrived though i chose to pay at the facility. The room was cold heating doesnt work. No Tv. The room was like a motel room and nothing like the foros at all. After staying for a while in the room they gave us electric heater to use it because it was very cold. The hot water comes after running the water for 4 minutes. The rooms has no privacy you can hear everything as if you sleeping in the corridor. At the checkout another guy carried our bag and took us to the car walking the same distance. It was a such a horrible experience i have never met in my whole traveling life. I wanted to post this review to let the decent travelers to know what they gonna face in advance.

Good value for money, quiet, great location in the medina

Great location, quiet room, hotel has a lot of character.

The room decor was a bit haphazard (eg there were no bedlamps) and there was no ventilation in the bathroom.

Bien sûr je recommande, avec grand plaisir de revenir un prochain séjour !!!

Une jolie équipe jeune, qui prend le temps d'écouter, de rencontrer les invités de leur restaurant, de l'hôtel !

La musique non-stop dans le patio (si gentiment baissée ou fermée lorsqu'on en fait la demande) !

Vraiment excellent !!

Hôtel très charmant situé à 2 pas de la mosquée Zitouna dans une rue agréable. Personnel très attentionné, tout était parfait, sans compter le restaurant qui est excellent. Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet établissement. Merci à l'équipe de Dar El Medina.

Increíble trato y ubicación.

Lo que más nos gustó fue la ubicación, el trato de los trabajadores y cómo es el hotel por dentro, una auténtica joya! Las personas que trabajan allí nos ayudaron muchísimo y fueron muy cercanos y amables. El desayuno es una maravilla, cuesta trabajo terminárselo y cada día fue diferente. Si volvemos a Túnez, repetiremos. ¡Muy recomendado!

La habitación tiene todo lo necesario, pero la que nos tocó no tenía mucha luz y era un poco pequeña. Aún así, está muy bien para el precio y para el resto de cosas que ofrece el hotel.

Other than the above a very good place to stay.

Lovely palce and service, very good breakfast.

Nothing about the hotel, but if you have a night out in Tunis main City centre it is difficult to walk back to at night as the Souk, the main route is closed, well unlit and scary. Taxi is possible but taxi driver got lost.

Struttura molto bella e curata. ottime accoglienza e ospitalità. Colazione eccellente, varia e abbondante, dolce e salata. Molto positiva anche la cena tunisina. Estremamente gentile nel farci sistemare la moto nell'ingresso.

The property is a beautiful authentic aristocrat’s home turned into hotel. It is situated in the heart of the Medina. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff are extremely welcoming, helpful and warm.

Exceptional

The building is very interesting from the architectural point of view. Each floor and each room has its own design. Its restoration managed to respect 100% the history of the building and the initial design of it. Amazing internal gardens and roofgarden, vast rooms with nice natural light, old nice furnitures are some of the elements I admired most in this hotel. The location was very convenient and the breakfast was delicious and rich and of high quality. It was phantastic that was not time restriction for the time of breakfast. Also Neda in the reception with her beatiful smile was always ready to answer any question and to help. She offered limonade for free in very warm midday hours that I found very human.

They could improve the wifi in the upper floor. Also some more attention to the cleaning of the lines and the towels. But the cleaning staff was very polite and responded in each request.

Great location and perfectly comfortable for a 3-5 night stay.

The room was large, very comfortable and mostly quite clean. The air con worked perfectly well and the breakfast was plentiful. the team were excellent.

the wifi was very poor and mostly unreliable but able to manage basic functions, messages, emails etc. The bathroom and shower in my room had some mould which could easily be cleaned.

Wonderful place, beautiful building with unique rooms and you are right in the heart of the medina. Staff were exceptional. The only downside was the lousy 'breakfast' but the rest of the stay was fantastic.
