where to start… on our way to the villa (in a golf cart 5min away) we got a message that we have been double booked, upon arrival the reception told us we can stay in the hotel rooms instead and no refund will be given. after an hour in sweltering heat, of asking to speak to the manager I finally was able to and was told the first night (in hotel rooms) will be refunded - despite multiple messages I have not seen a penny of the £750 I was due. that night there was a wedding party of the hotel owner’s niece, it was moved from the night before, as after a day of rain it was now sunny. I wasn’t impressed. in the hotel there was no water in the pool and half of the time there was no water or electricity in the entire property. once we were finally able to stay at the villa the place was poorly cleaned and the private pool wasn’t made functional up until the evening of the last day we stayed there. despite complaining we were shrugged off and ignored by the staff, after all as prepaid guests we couldn’t refuse to pay for the stay. attitude of the staff was always take it or leave it, pretty much the entire stay. there is flies and mosquitos everywhere with no citronella/zapper in sight. decor of the villa is rather basic/retro.
