Connecting house has a large and very aggresive guard dog kept in the front garden. Probably because the neighbourhood has a serious crime problem. The dog goes wild and jumps up on the fence every time someone enters or leaves this property. It also barks continuously at passers by all night. Not suitable if you have small children or dogs! In addition, the property has a number of maintenence issues and is not secure.

After leaving, the agent messaged us that they had deducted money for damage (to the fence where the neighbours dog jumps up). We were surprised and when we asked them to explain, at first they did not give details and then upon insisting they then accused us of kicking the fence and throwing boiling water at the dog! We were completely shocked by these accusations (we are animal lovers) and the whole situation ruined our holiday. Recommend that you avoid this property and any other managed by Check In Portugal (CIP).
