We enjoyed our stay! Very convenient to DuPont and Pisgah for biking and hiking. We cooked each night, the kitchen is well stocked. Too cold to enjoy outdoor space but it would be great if weather was pleasant. Nice beds and linens.

This is a wonderful home.

The house was close to everything. The sunroom had a wonderful view any time of day. The house had everything we needed and was spotless. This house felt more like our home than a VRBO. We will be staying again.

This house was perfect for our family! We had everything we needed and more! There is a heater in the sunroom which was the perfect spot to see the views while staying warm. We had such a great time sitting around the fire pit.

We enjoyed our stay at Shifting Gears for a family birthday weekend. The beds are comfortable, plenty of spaces to spread out, loved the sunroom and deck, and appreciated the lovely antiques and nostalgic pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The home is in a great location, close to grocery, and central to many things to see and do. One day we sent up 276 to the Blue Ridge Parkway, had lunch at Pisgah Inn, visited the Cradle of Forestry, and stopped at Looking Glass Falls. The next day we visited Dupont Forest, Jeter Farms, and Mills River to Sierra Nevada Brewery. Each night we were home to enjoy the beautiful view. Would welcome another visit to this Comfortable Place!

This is such a clean & lovely home with beautiful views of the mountains from the deck and sunroom. There were areas to gather as a family to eat or hang out inside and outside. We would highly recommend it!

We stayed in this property for a weekend and enjoyed it a lot. The house is well equipped and the view from the house is amazing. It is located ten to fifteen minutes from the downtown of Brevard and Pisgah Forest and other attractions. We definitely recommend this property!

We loved this house! The deck and sunroom were our go-to spot. There is an amazing view of the mountains and sunset every night with comfy patio furniture and air conditioned sun room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It could use a few more dishes and silverware but we just did dishes often. We traveled to the area for US Gravity Nationals and the garage was perfect for bike storage and bike maintenance. The drive to Ride Rock Creek was about 40-45 minutes on curvy narrow roads. The house is only a couple minutes from Brevard, the Hub bike shop and two really good breweries. While half of our party was enjoying the gravity scene, three of us pedaled around Pisgah and DuPont which were both relatively close. The steep driveway was intimidating at first be we navigated it ok...even with our low clearance minivan. We would definitely stay here again!
