Check in process was easy. Home was very nice, clean, and in a great location. Just a couple of minutes to downtown. Driveway is intense but is as advertised. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Nicely updated home within easy walk to the village. Holly was extremely responsive when we had an internet outage (problem was with the service provider). Would stay again.

The house was beautifully decorated and very clean! We enjoyed the mountain views and will definitely be back! The driveway is just as advertised being steep, an experienced driver will be fine, but 4WD was very helpful!

Absolutely beautiful home. Hotel class service. Super clean. Nicely decorated. Lovely deck with views. This is a 5 star except for the access which is clearly outlined in the description. Having said this this was no trouble for me to reverse up with 4WD. The stairs was a much appreciated workout for me too 😀our host Holly was 6 stars for communication. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is absolutely perfect! Big beautiful kitchen with everything you need. Really nice dishes, glasses and cutlery. The view from the deck is amazing - we spent a lot of time out there! The driveway, is as described - very steep. You will need 4WD or at least AWD.

We had a great trip to Highlands. The house is very clean, close proximity into town, and overall a great property. The driveway is very steep, however, the listing is accurate and provides an accurate notice to guests. Really enjoyable time; we will be back.

This new property has the most beautiful views and is walkable to town. Nicely decorated and furnished. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the driveway is very steep so expect to walk a bit to get to the front door. That was expected, though.

Yes, the driveway is crazy steep, and you have to park on the incline and walk up a bunch of steps, AND the view is one of the best I’ve ever seen in the Highlands and the brand new home is gorgeously appointed and very comfortable. Brand new appliances, full set of dishes, Keurig with a drawer full of Keurig pods, firm mattresses with soft and clean sheets, fluffy white towels, brand new, and modern sinks and showers, large screen, smart TVs in every room, and on the porch an electric grill, table and chairs, and tall Adirondacks to enjoy gorgeous sunrises. It was less than a mile walk down to the Main Street of shops and restaurants. We loved our stay.

Unfortunately, the description of this property was changed after we made our reservation, so we were not aware of the huge accessibility issues at this house until we arrived. After our 4-wheel drive car slid uncontrollably 12 feet down the driveway, we decided to park only on the street, which is likely illegal - this property effectively has no parking. Hauling our stuff up the driveway and then the double flight of stairs to the one entry door (is it a building code violation to have only one useable egress?) in the back of this one-usable-level property, I injured my back and spent the first day of our vacation in bed. Even my dog was afraid to go up and down the driveway. In my opinion, this property is not appropriate for any persons with disabilities, those over 50 or under 15, or pets. In our opinion, these issues are not adequately addressed in the price - a price which includes a number of extra fees you don't find out about until after you try to book the reservation (and even one that you don't find out about until after you make the reservation).
The house has no screens on windows or door, therefore you cannot get any fresh air into the house to dispel the odor of the construction adhesive that inconsistently holds down the faux-wood vinyl flooring. In any event, the loud nearby construction, traffic and industrial noises throughout the day make leaving windows and doors open inadvisable. There was no place to walk our dog on the property so we had to walk up and down the narrow street. On our last day (we left 2 days early), the gutters were pouring so much water into the area around the only door that we were afraid of getting stuck in the house. (There ought to be another means of egress - perhaps a ladder? You can't safely jump off the porch to the forest floor below, and if you can't get to the stairs you're in trouble.)
Things this house does not have (or have enough of) that it would be nice if they provided: a fire extinguisher; a toaster; a dish drying rack; broiling pan and baking sheets; clothing hangers; a box of facial tissue in each bathroom; salt and pepper shakers that contain salt and pepper; a couple laundry detergent pods; non-slip pad or strips in the bathtub to prevent serious slip-and-fall injuries. The only outdoor grill provided is electric. On the positive side, the things in the house work, it seemed clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable. Nevertheless, we will not stay here again.

We enjoyed the inside of the house and it was very nice. However, the driveway up to the property is extremely steep and almost impossible to deal with. I am a very experienced driver and had so much trouble backing down the steep driveway, that I ended up leaving my car at the bottom each time we came and went. My Tahoe literally slid down uncontrolled several times, and I almost slammed into the retaining wall. This made unpacking and packing the car very inconvenient, same with groceries. There are also several steps that lead to the front door that you must climb up after walking up the steep driveway. Basically, it made coming and going quite a chore. Again, the inside was great and everything was top notch so that part was wonderful.

Okay.. so the driveway is steep. This was well documented in the description, however the house made up for the steep driveway. Beautiful decor, wonderful view of the mountains from the balcony, awesome kitchen, comfortable beds and linens, super clean! First class! Only a mile walk to downtown Highlands. Will definitely come back!

Don’t let the pictures fool uou
This is a nice property, but the driveway is a real problem and there are a lot of steps up to the house as well. They are both much steeper than you would think. The driveway is narrow, long and steep, and you are forced to get out of your car facing uphill or downhill. If you have multiple cars, someone has to back out, which is tricky. Finally, while the house is pet friendly, there is no yard for them. You have to all the way down the steps and down the drive to get to street level. Otherwise the house is quite nice and the property manager was kind to us.
