About this house rental
Fully renovated Lower Level apartment is a home away from home. It offers two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a futon that converts to a full bed. A fully stocked kitchen with all new appliances. Large front porch to relax after a day on the water with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. We are a block from the bay and less than a mile from the city boat ramp and downtown shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking for boats and vehicles. Pets are welcome and will enjoy the pet friendly beaches.

My pups and I were passing through Port St Joe, staying for one night. The apartment is the first floor of a two story house, which the listing states. The other unit is upstairs, of course. The listing does not state there is a metal building attached to the home in the back, which appears to be two additional apartments. There is a small fenced in courtyard that is shared by all four units. It is in a nice, residential neighborhood not far from the bay. The unit was clean, spacious and very comforable. The AC worked perfectly for me. My pups and I enjoyed our brief visit, and would definitely stay here again. I could tell it was an Old Florida home.

The house looked great on the pictures and on VRBO but in fact it was spilt in two with a sheet metal building behind it. It wasn't very clean and the AC unit didn't come close to cooling the place down. I only stayed one of the two nights and drove 6 hours home to Atlanta at 5pm vs staying there a second night. I would NOT recommend this property.

Loved the stay. Beds were comfortable. Shower was great. Only small issue i had was anyone, guest upstairs or workers, would not close the backyard gate. Not a major issue, but my chi soon realized the game. The house did tend to get warm in the evening when would have the termostat at 72, and the temp would get to 76. We took it as the temps being so warm outside because of the heatwave.

Nice place in a small charming town. extremely quiet. We decided last minute not to bring our dog and the host was very gracious in returning our pet fees. Initially went to this area for a horseback ride that was canceled due to weather. but it was still worth the drive from Destin to see the area. Lots of shell collecting near Indian Pass.

We wanted a place to visit St Joe State Park - this worked nicely for us.
Very good restaurants only a few minutes drive away.
The rental was exactly as advertised & landlord was very helpful!!

Great for travelers with boats, plenty of room to park. House was easy to get to and from, close to restaurants and shops and the large front porch with ceiling fans was enjoyed. The best set up for pets I've ever experienced, back yard was small though

The property is located on a quiet residential street.
It was comfortable secure, and fun. Our two golden retrievers loved it as well. We enjoyed the fenced in backyard as well as the porch where we enjoyed memories of the pleasant day.

Everything you see is everything you get. The room was just as we expected. It was very clean once we arrived and it was not far from everything downtown. We would defiantly recommend this place to others and if we come back down we would stay here again as well. It was also very affordable as well.

Pre-arrival information & communication was great. The downstairs unit has a very large covered porch with seating for 6. Inside has two bedrooms with queen bed in each and a futon couch in the small but cozy livingrooom which comfortably seats 4 adults. Kitchen is well equipped and has access door to fenced in back yard for pets. We did not bring pet this trip but very nice place for pet owners ! The house was very clean, walking distance to downtown, parks and shoreline also. Had a wonderful stay in beautiful PSJ !

Pet friendly stop over for the night. All went well, we stayed on bottom floor level. Fenced in backyard if you need it.

Just a few blocks from the bay and downtown. Kathy and Mike were very responsive and the house had most everything needed for our month long stay

Property was as listed, clean, cozy & convenient to business district and main thoroughfare. We had the lower unit. Only downside was we could hear the upstairs dog who barked on & off until 10:25pm the day we checked in & again at 5:30am the following morning. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our short stay!

Very clean and convenient to downtown restaurants but a bit far to walk...distance wise especially at night and with dense fog.

Restaurants and the St Joe Christmas parade.
Visit to the Fl Constitution museum
Needed better lighting in the family room for reading.
Host responded quickly.
Overall I you would book again.

Location was close to main street, quiet neighborhood and very clean home. Home was fully stocked. There is another unit upstairs which I didn't realize upon booking but was fine, just one gripe that the other tenant did not pick up their dog's poop and we could hear them occasionally. Wonderful porch!

Quiet, clean and off the beaten path. Great yard for our dog. We especially enjoyed sitting on the spacious front porch.
Walking to town from the property was wonderful. "Happy Hour" is convenient to restaurants, shopping, the bay and the beach! This is an affordable get away and we can't wait to return!

No hot water and the repair person was not available until I called the owner. When I was able to contact him I was met with sarcasm.
