About this villa rental
Open the doors of Villa Vida Bonita to step into your very own tropical oasis. Located right on the black sands of Bajamar, this ocean front villa offers luxurious and private surroundings. You will feel like you have escaped the world and entered paradise! The first floor of the newly remodeled villa features a huge kitchen with island and breakfast bar featuring all new top-of-the-line stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances including a 5 door refrigerator, 6 burner electric stove with warmer and oven, Microwave/convection oven with a vent, a dishwasher, in sink disposal, boiling water dispenser and wine cooler with bar. The kitchen and island has pure white quartz countertops and features a farmers sink with a unique faucet that was made in Germany. Tastefully decorated, Villa Vida Bonita is filled with original artwork and new furniture which was custom made or imported from Europe, it is ready for you to move in and enjoy. Upon entering through the custom made security front doors you are greeted in the great room with high ceilings, custom made wrought iron chandeliers and hand crafted banister leading up a solid wood staircase. There is a double living room with a glass wall and a view of the pool and ocean. There are two master suites, each with views facing the ocean. Both suites have a large walk-in closet, king size beds, seating area, televisions and private bathrooms. The downstairs master features a large porcelain soaking tub, shower, water closet and double vanity. Upstairs also has a double vanity and the shower has a spectacular view of the central Pacific coastline. Both suites are bathed in light with huge arched windows and upstairs boasts a private balcony overlooking the pool and the beachfront. There are also two additional bedrooms, one with twin beds (which can be joined to create a king) and one with a queen. Each bedroom has a brand new high efficiency AC unit. There are a total of 3 bathrooms inside and one poolside with an outdoor shower to rinse off after a walk on the beach. Once outside you can relax poolside with a drink and soak up the sunshine. If you prefer the ocean you can venture outside the gate onto the sandy beach and head into the waters of the Pacific Ocean. It is a rough surf and be advised that you swim at your own risk. As there are very few other homes in the area, you will likely have the entire beach all to yourself. Security is assured with all new, remote controlled electric shutters on the windows. There is a perimeter fence and caretaker on site as well. The front yard has a paver stone driveway and lush tropical fruit garden. We can arrange the following services at additional fees: -Pick up and drop off at the airport on arrival and departure dates. -Daily maid service -Full concierge services to facilitate tours of your choice in the area with our trusted and reliable tour guides -Transportation to and from tours along with a personal driver and vehicle -Professionally prepared meals by one of our partner chefs (does not include the cost of food) Think of it as a "Mega Yacht" experience without the sea sickness! Everything is taken care for your group in a relaxed, hassle free environment. Due to the secluded and private location of the villa, small parts of the access roads are typically Costa Rican and unpaved. The surrounding area consists of fruit farmlands and you will see rows upon rows of mango trees driving to the villa. We highly recommend the rental of an all wheel drive vehicle to get around.

The house was nice, but there is an abandoned house next to it not totally run dow but it was not mentioned in the listing.

From the initial communication with the property owner I was so impressed by everything. Our needs were anticipated on every level, to include the first day or two once we arrived so that we'd have what we needed at the house.
The property manager, Edgardo, is hands down the most professional, courteous, fun loving, big hearted human. His presence left nothing for want and made the experience so perfect for the group.
We will definitely be back!!

Edgardo was as good of a host as we've ever worked with. He literally bent over backwards to make our stay the best it could be! The house was clean and updated and very roomy and open. The location was off the beaten path, which we liked. The only downside was the beach in that area is littered with trash, which is very dissapointing and sad. Edgardo spent a day with help, cleaning up the beach behind the house but the next morning the tide and currents had washed trash back. Major clean up, education, environmental policy and/or incentives are needed before they lose anymore of their beautiful country.

We loved our week at this house. We had a group of 7 (2 kids) with plenty of space. The place is great and very comfortable and clean. Edgardo was so wonderful and made our week so smooth. We also loved Mario our driver and felt very safe. We used the chefs for many meals which I’d also recommend. We did day trips to the volcano, national park, Isla tortuga, zip lining, crocodile river tour and more! We ordered food delivery 2 nights from the tasty restaurants 1.5 kilometer away.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend driving with a rental car here. The house is quite remote, 30 minutes off a main road down a very slow bumpy path. It is right on the beach but unfortunately the beach had a lot of garbage. Also, we lost power for a few hours one evening and there were only a few candles and no matches/lighters at the house.
Otherwise it’s well appointed with beach towels for the pool, outdoor furniture, toiletries and comfortable beds.

This house was beautiful and the concierge was top notch. Edgardo made our stay fantastic with excursions, breakfasts and dinners. Anything we needed, he was there to assist. Such a wonderful experience.

This home is quite a bit out of the way, but that is its only flaw. If you plan for that it is not an issue. It is better than the photos. It felt like a small mansion walking in each time we came home. It is a huge, clean home with four bedrooms, comfortable beds, a great, private, 5ft, warm pool right outside the door, and beach access. There are few people that access the beach each day, so even the beach seems like it was our own private beach. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works well when you need a break from the heat, and there are lots of kitchen extras to do your own cooking.
Edgardo, the concierge, is just the best. He will help with anything you need. He helped Us get from the airport and helped us get a rental car. We worked with him in advance and he had groceries waiting for us at the house when we got there. He is friendly and easy to communicate with and goes out of his way to help.
This home was just just perfect for 2 families. We fit 7 people with no problem. There is a restaurant at the end of the road that is very tasty: we recommend walking the road rather the beach to get there if you walk after nightfall as there are lots of little crabs on the beach that scurry along the sand and are difficult to see in the dark, but it is an adventure.
We didn’t want to leave this place and would love to come back. We would recommend this place to everyone! We just cannot say enough about how awesome this home and Edgardo were.

Wonderful place ! I hope this space is long enough to write all that I want to about Villa Vida Bonita. I had a fantasy about this vacation for a long time and it was even better than I ever dreamed of. The beauty of the villa and the location is so unexpected, since the photos do not do justice to the actual site. Ocean breezes and thundering surf greet you first. It truly is a Villa with open space, 4 spectacular bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen and privacy. The dining room table seats 10 comfortably and there is another table outside by the grill for dinners near the beach. The backyard pool is spotless and only 5' deep. You receive so much for 5 stars, maybe there should be 10 stars! It was difficult to leave. The owner takes great pride in the house and grounds but is a master at supporting a clients' hope for a restful holiday. The artwork, the furniture, the chandeliers and all the bedding were sourced locally in Costa Rica. Fantastic. A Concierge is at your service. ( 5 stars for him, Edgardo). The Villa is clean, well decorated and super for a family of 8. We will be back because of the people, the service and the quality of the experience. Give yourself a gift and sign in for some time that will provide wonderful memories forever.

Friends of 30 plus years getaway.
Seven of us had the pleasure of staying at Villa Vida Bonita, we had such a lovely time catching up and making new memories.
Edgardo was absolutely incredible; he went above and beyond with making sure we are all comfortable and taking care of all our needs. The house was beautiful, clean and in a great location. The chef Randall did an amazing job with our dinners, and the ceviche.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
We hope to return in the futue.

Heaven on Earth
What a wonderful vacation! We highly recommend this wonderful house and all the wonderful people that help you have a fantastic stay! I felt like I was at a 5 star resort. Edgardo, the concierge, is so kind, positive and accommodating. The house is beautifully done and kept very clean. The beds were all very comfortable and the grounds look like a botanical garden. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool and watching the sunset on the balcony. The black sand beach was really interesting and beautiful. Edgardo helped us with activities and getting them all set up. We will miss it all!

Amazing trip!
I was nervous to book this property due to it being a new listing and the fact that it did not have any reviews. I am happy to say that the property is better than the pictures! It was perfect for our family and had everything that we needed. The beach was wonderful and we did multiple late night swims. Larissa was a great host and had great communication with us. Edgardo was amazing and made our trip extra special! He helped us with excursions and transportation. Transportation can be a bit tricky but the location is well worth the extra travel. I would highly recommend this property especially if you are wanting your own little oasis to escape to.

Truly Paradise on Earth!
My husband and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary at Villa Vida Bonita for a week. First let me say that we were a little nervous as it’s a new listing without any reviews…..Once we arrived we knew that we made the right choice. The villa is absolutely stunning in every way. The renovations are all new and top of the line! We couldn’t believe that we had this gorgeous house all to ourselves! We like to cook our own meals and the kitchen did not disappoint…everything we needed was there. We also love our privacy which is another reason we chose this spot. We literally had the beach to ourselves everyday. We are good swimmers but the surf is a bit rough. The beach was cleaned every morning so it was pristine when we headed out. There’s a cool cove close to the house and the views are breathtaking.
Our manager (Eguardo) was the best! He recommended some great local restaurants with typical Costa Rican food that was out of this world… it to mention very reasonable! We also did a couple tours…waterfall tour out of Jaco and the Crocodile Tour out of Tarcoles. Again, Eguardo assisted us with these as well as telling us where to pick up groceries etc.
The road to get to the villa is really bumpy as it is a dirt road with ruts and gullies etc. We drove through farms of (what we were told later to be mango trees). So the place is pretty secluded…again just what we were looking for. But even with that…you are close to both Tarcoles and Jaco so everything you need in within 1/2 hour drive really.
All in all we are SO HAPPY that we risked booking a new place on VRBO. We want to return with our family members…the place can easily hold 8 adults..with room to spare!
