We were told that we could originally get there at 1pm to check in and the day of they told us there were workers at this house so to move it back to 3pm. We got to the house at 330 and the cleaners were just showing up and the workers were still on site. We waited till past 6pm to finally be able to have no one on site. They told us we couldn't use the shower in the master bathroom because it was just grouted, the kitchen ceiling was not there, the code they gave us for the front door didn't work, the back doors to the porch wouldn't lock, the toilet on second and third levels didn't flush without taking the top of the toilet off and pushing the water filler to start the water flow again. This place is a dump and the owner of this place is a con artist. DO NOT ever rent this place or you will be taken advantage of.

Positives: It was a extremely BEAUTIFUL view & steps away from the beach basically having your own private beach area. There was a long driveway for parking, lots of space inside the house including a large kitchen, multiple beds on multiple levels. The deck area was big & fantastic for a small gathering. The covered patio and tables were a nice touch to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the waves. Wi-Fi was provided, beach chairs, umbrellas, & beach toys were available for use.
Although we enjoyed our experience at this beach house there were a few comments that were not so great: up to the check in date communication responses were lacking when I asked questions about the property. We did not receive any check in information and I had to reach out to get that information. Once I received that everything went smoothly.
Some of the common things you would expect in a rental they did not provide for example: they only had one small trash can in the kitchen and left one trash bag, only one dish towel, no cleaning supplies, & no where to hang swim suites, dryer not operational, & areas of the house where we had to try & clean up. The outside trash can was full and over flowing before we even got there which we understand is part of trash services. Our only other comment would be there was limited seating areas for a big house with lots of space.
Again, We really enjoyed our stay and it worked perfect for what we needed it for.

Staying at this house was the worst experience of my life. I read bad reviews before I stayed but the location was good. I called the owner and asked if she planned on handling these issues. She promised she would and I trusted her. When we walked in there was a dead roach right in the middle of the kitchen and we went on to find about more dead roaches throughout the weekend. Then it got worse when someone found blood on their sheets and mattress before they went to sleep on night one. We also found bugs in the light fixtures which is on previous reviews and the owner promised was fixed. We found many other live bugs throughout the house. Most upsetting was a live wire (an open wire) that was sticking out of a light in the shower and uncovered plugs. The wire in the shower can electrocute someone and leave them in hospital. It was extremely dangerous.
During the trip I called VRBO because I did not trust the owner anymore. VRBO then did a three way call with us and during the middle of the call the owner hung up. I then sent her the pictures and she never responded. I called VRBO many times after to see if they can help make up for the awful experience and they said they can’t do anything since we didn’t leave the property. There were 15 of us who all flew in during the busy season and we could not find another place together we could afford. Please not stay at this place no matter what. You will be stuck staying at this awful property with no help from the owner or VRBO.

I booked this property for my daughter’s dream beachside wedding. The wedding itself was amazing and the location could not have been more perfect. Regrettably, the same cannot be said for the house itself. I wish I had seen the more recent reviews before I paid in full at the time of booking, but I had booked in October before those reviews were written. I was embarrassed and very upset that I had invited guests to this place.
First and most importantly, this house has safety issues that need to be addressed. There are electrical outlets that have no covers. In the family room area where the “fireplace” is located (which is actually the nicest feature in the house), there are two live outlets in the floor intended for theater-style seating to be plugged into that are covered by an area rug. These live outlets are hazardous for children to be near. As mentioned by a previous guest, the back deck doors are very difficult to lock if you are not familiar with how to do it. Every one of these safety issues must be remedied.
The “renovations” in this house were done poorly. New flooring was laid over old and new thresholds installed over existing to cover the seams. The problem is, one of the pocket doors in the kitchen can no longer be closed because the new threshold is in the way. The doubled-up thresholds are also a trip hazard. Someone recently painted literally everything - walls, cabinets, tubs, bathroom tile - and the paint is now peeling off. Nothing was taped off, and there is overspray and paint on fixtures and appliances everywhere. The decking was laid over rotten wood and is now sagging. Rather than remove the kitchen cabinet doors and repaint everything correctly, someone has slapped paint on the doors and painted around the hardware and it looks terrible.
There are so many other issues, but these are the top ones:
* No blankets on any of the beds, just thin duvet covers, some of which are stained. We had to bring additional bedding from my daughter’s house.
* The kitchen is quite literally falling apart. One cabinet door came right off when I opened it and another is hanging down.
* There is insufficient seating for guests. A few chairs around one table, a few plastic chairs, and two futons are all that exist.
* Insufficient lighting and one ceiling light that had no bulb.
* None of the previous complaints have been addressed.
It’s a shame. This place could be a show-stopper.

The location of property was great as well as the views and the house had plenty of space. For the amount of money spent on this property, I am extremely disappointed. Starting with HUGE lack of communication for check in process (entry code to house provided hours after check in time), there was an ant issue in the kitchen and worms in the light fixtures, not enough bedding, pillow covers or towels, no dish soap or laundry detergent even though we were asked to start dishwasher and laundry during check out. Check out details provided the day after our arrival stated 11am and cleaning crew showed up and said we were suppose to be out at 10am and started yelling at us. I could go on and on with why I highly do not recommend this property.

Pro's: The house has plenty of space, and we used every bedroom. The beach location is great, and we spent a lot of time there. The home has a lovely covered deck out back which gave a great view for hanging out, and the hammocks on the ground floor were a nice touch. Beds were reasonably comfortable, and we appreciated having a 2nd fridge downstairs. If this is all you're looking for and you don't really mind the upkeep of a place you're staying in, this house will work for you.
There were unfortunately many Con's for us, though - looks like the place has just been poorly / minimally kept up. I won't list them all, but some of the highlights: (1) patio door locks do not work; (2) a bedroom on the 2nd floor had a door that could only be opened or shut by extremely hard and noisy slamming / pulling; (3) a door handle fell out of a patio door and clobbered someone's toe the first time it was (barely) touched, and a closet door fell off a track when pulled open the first time; (4) damaged or missing kickboards/floor trim/cabinet corners in various places; (5) dryer worked so poorly we gave up and hung things up to dry (6) back yard was not a gorgeous sand area as in pics; it was overgrown and full of sand-spurs (7) generally extremely poor cleaning and upkeep - there was evidence of a big leak in the dining room ceiling; a desiccated 1/2 slice of pizza shoved into a hole where a kick-board should've been in the kitchen; walls and floorboards marked with various drips / streaks in many places; dirty shower curtains; sinks that didn't drain well; power outlets that didn't work; upstairs bathroom had what looked like mold, peeling tile; and more.
Tip: If you have a large group, you'll need to move plastic chairs in and out from the patio and a folding table from the garage to all be in the living area at the same time, as the dining table and living room seating set are average-sized. (The pics do show the correct amount of seating.)
Communication: I messaged the host via VRBO the morning of our stay (before check in) with a few questions, and then I messaged again a few times while we were there to alert the host to the issues we were encountering. I have not received a response to any of these messages. (To be fair: prior to check in the host did provide a phone number to use if necessary, however since VRBO says to always communicate through VRBO - and I didn't think they could fix these things during our stay anyways -- I did not use it)

Great location. Near beach bars and downtown St. Pete. The house had plenty of space. Our group enjoyed the outside deck and firepit area. Would definitely recommend this property for large parties.

I rented this house for my brother's bachelor trip. The house was more than accommodating for what we needed. The house had plenty of space for everyone. The location was great. Easy access to the beach and restaurants close by. It really was the perfect spot for our weekend.

Beautiful and convenient
The house was in great shape with a beautiful ocean view and trail. Convenient to many restaurants, bars and shopping. It was the perfect house and location for a guys trip.

In need of work
First complaint, the air upstairs didn’t work at all so it stayed at 85 degrees which that hot we thought we were smothering. If you have asthma it makes everything worse!!!!. The upstairs had a hair dryer mounted to the wall and it caught fire when turned on and burned my fingers. So stay away from third floor !!!!!The house has musty smell to it which may or may not be the cleaners fault regardless still it is in need of a good cleaning. Would I stay there again? Not unless I have too especially for the price we paid!!

Great for one thing
We had a great time at this property. The property is beautiful and clean. My only issue was poor communication from the owner. It was difficult to get in touch and we were very surprised with an expensive damage fee after the trip. 2 of the listed damages were due to obvious structural damage that was present before our stay. That said, this is a lovely place for a vacation to beautiful Treasure Island.
