Nestled in Marathon, this lovely house for $406 per night is a great option for your next vacation. City of Marathon Vacation Rental License# - VACA-21-478 Escape the chaos and come enjoy this fully renovated chic waterfront home ready for your next tranquil vacation. Fish right from the dock or bring your boat and head out to boot key harbor towards the Atlantic Ocean. Property has a 35' deep-water dock, a bait freezer, and a fish cleaning table. We have manatee families and pelicans that frequently visit the canal. You can also just relax and enjoy the views on one of the chairs by the dock or spend the evening by the firepit under the starry night sky. These are just some of the simple pleasures at the Salty Air Retreat There is a Kayak available as well as 2 beach cruisers. Propane and Charcoal grill are also available as well as outdoor shower to rinse off after a lengthy fishing trip. House is very centrally located with just a 1-hour drive to Key West and 45 minutes from Islamorada. There is plenty to do locally as well, as Marathon has many attractions. The Turtle Hospital is located 2 blocks south and is a mere 4 min walk from the front door. Aquarium Encounters is another family favorite. You can swim with sharks as well as pet and feed the stingrays and turtles. Crane Point Hammock Park has a ton of history, great trails, and ends with a fish pedicure. The old historic 7-mile bridge just recently reopened for walking, running, and cycling. It is a 3-minute drive from the property. In Spring 2022, a 60-passenger tram will take visitors across the bridge to historic Pigeon Key instead of the ferry. There is also a new walkway that goes under the 7-mile bridge and connects you to Sunset Grille and Raw Bar for waterfront dining. Island Fish Company, Burdines and the Beach Bars at Tranquility Bay as well as Isla Beach Resorts are also fantastic waterfront dining. Marathon also has one of the best beaches in the Florida Keys, Sombrero Beach and is located less than 10 minutes away. Bahia Honda State Park is about 15 minutes away from the property. The welcome book and rental guide will provide extensive information of things to do in Marathon as well as popular attractions throughout the Florida Keys. The kitchen and Bathroom are fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Master bedroom has a king bed, waterfront view (sliding door) and a Smart flat screen TV. 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a Smart flat screen TV. Livingroom has a queen-sized pull-out couch with gel mattress and faces a Smart flat screen TV. All Smart Flat Screen TVs come with remote control and have access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Peacock. Wifi is strong and has videoconferencing capabilities. This home has a seven night minimum reservation rental and offers a 20% discount for stays longer than 28 days or more. Cleaning Fee: $250 (We would refund 50% after your stay if the house is left in the conditions stated above) Refundable Damage Deposit: $500 All funds collected are nonrefundable for cancellations within 15 days of arrival. The guest named on the rental agreement is the only one who may cancel the reservation. Please note that for security purposes, there is a Ring Doorbell located at the front door entrance of the property.

We enjoyed our stay at The Salty Air Retreat. The house was beautifully updated and decorated and was very clean. It had everything we could possibly need for a week at the Keys. We were able to take a short ride to the 7 mile bridge everyday, we visited the nearby Marathon beaches and took a trip to Key West. My kids enjoyed fishing from the dock every morning and evening and we were happy to have the kayaks to explore the water. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We have vacationed in Marathon for the past 12 years, but this was by far the best place we have ever stayed. After 5 weeks it became our home away from home. The house was beautifully decorated and well equipped; the privacy on the canal a bonus. Others have commented on all of the amenities of which there are many, but I believe Ariana was also responsible for our exceptional experience, making us feel welcomed from the time we first set foot in the unit and treating us as her guests As others have pointed out in their reviews, she was so responsive when we had a question or needed help, which was especially appreciated after our previous experiences at other rentals in Marathon. Thank you Ariana! We will definitely be back next year! 5+ rating. Karen and Mike

This rental is adorable! Clean, clean, clean and decorated so cute! Ariana was so easy to communicate with and she has provided a comfortable home, great linens, well stocked kitchen, and wonderful back patio with upscale patio furniture right on the canal. We will definitely be back!

Salty Air Retreat was clean, inviting, and the perfect location for boating in both the Gulf and the Atlantic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there because it felt like home with the nautical Christmas decorations and every kitchen gadget imaginable. It is appropriately named as a retreat since it is the perfect escape from reality, both in the water and just chilling on the deck. We definitely will be repeat visitors to this home away from home.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Salty Air Retreat. It is a meticulous home with beautiful coastal decor and a cozy-at-home feel. The location on Marathon Key was perfect since it is centrally located. We went on excursions every day to Key West, snorkeling in Key Largo, fishing charters down the road and a swim with the beautiful dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center. It was wonderful to return home each evening and sit in the back while boys fished in the canal. We had a spectacular visit from the manatee family and my son discovered a moray eel living under the dock. The discoveries in the canal kept my boys occupied for hours while my husband and I enjoyed a sunset cocktail. In the mornings I enjoyed my walk to the 7 mile bridge for exercise before starting our days’ adventures. Arianna was a wonderful host responding right away when needed and even checking in to make sure everything was ok. She was super understanding, reliable, highly organized and a pleasure to deal with. A definite retreat to return to with family!!

We had an excellent time and the place was lovely and newly renovated. It is exactly as pictured. Arianna was excellent to work with and was very attentive to our needs. Marathon is centrally located and it was easy to get to Key West or Key Largo.

This place met our needs in so many ways! We were able to enjoy morning coffee with views of the canal before we headed off for excursions for the day. Then we cooked our day's catch in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed the sunny back deck. There were lots of extra touches and amenities including the use of a kayak, bicycles and an outdoor grill. Thank you to the Echevarria family!

This is a great central location. The unit has undergone a recent remodel that was very tastefully done with nice modern updates. It was very comfortable and clean, and the amenities are thoughtful. Our host Ariana was great to work with!
