This breezy 3BR/2BA home is situated in a peaceful neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle, while only a quick drive from some of the area’s best sights and less than 30 minutes to downtown Galveston. The open-concept living areas feature beachy interiors that reflect the coastal locale. The kitchen includes updated stainless steel appliances. Extra amenities include an in-home laundry room. Take in the beach views from the expansive porch as the beach is just a short walk from the home. ABOUT THE HOUSE Gather your group in the welcoming living area for board games, cards, or movie nights. Settle into the sleeper sofa to watch a movie on the 50” TV. Enjoy fresh gulf breezes on the spacious wraparound porch with intimate dining area. The well-equipped kitchen has a full suite of updated appliances, and a double sink and garbage disposal make for easy clean-up. Enjoy meals at the dining table for six. In the morning, sip coffee at the breakfast bar for three. The master suite features a queen bed, 32” TV, and en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. Plenty of closet space offers a spot to stow your luggage. In the second bedroom, you’ll find a twin day bed that converts into a queen sleeper for two. Cheery prints make this a great bedroom for kids. Next door, the third bedroom includes a queen bed and spacious closet. A second bath is conveniently located between the bedrooms, making it simple for guests to share. Guest amenities include a washer/dryer and complimentary Wi-Fi. Two parking spots are available in front of the home. THE LOCATION Hike, bike, swim, and experience the local culture of Galveston. Fish for trout or redfish just steps from the back door. Visit Schlitterbahn Waterpark, just a 15-minute drive away, then hop over to Moody Gardens to ride roller coasters and explore the aquarium. Drive or cycle to Galveston Island State Park and take in expansive gulf views and miles of pristine hiking and biking trails. After you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy fresh seafood at Waterman’s Restaurant. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 2. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. We enjoyed our stay. The location of the house is perfect as it is only a quick stroll to the beach. The house could be perfect. The carpet in all of the bedrooms is very worn, very stained and really needs to be replaced with tile. The master bedding had a red stain that was very questionable as well as a large tear. The guest bedroom bedding was stained also. These wouldn’t deter me from coming back, but we did purchase our own blankets to use.

Loved being so close to the beach and the house was very clean.

Super close and easy beach access. There was NOT a grill as shown in pictures and in description so that was disappointing. Beds and linens are not very comfortable I would bring my own blankets next time and the deck has several railings posts that are loose and need to be fixed ASAP as it is very dangerous especially for children. Besides those, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay

First the good :
Cute house with spacious porch, ample dining space, large family area, great primary bed and bath. Short walk to the beach, not too crowded.
Now the not so good:
Carpet needs cleaning or replacement.
Stove downdraft is very dirty, and dishwasher wasn't cleaning properly.
Secondary bedrooms are very small (but still manageable)
Some exterior chairs need to be replaced.

Near to beach; Cold A/C; Loved the book describing how they remodeled it; Very roomy; Neighbors were friendly; Both inside and outside were well designed.
Had a GREAT time!
Only downside was that the cleaning crew had not been thorough. The crew we met as we left said that they would report it.

Beautiful beach house with nice view from front deck
Beautifully decorated house and very clean. Very short walk to the beach and nice view from front deck. Good beds but secondary rooms are very small. Kitchen is small and lacking some cooking tools but functional. Terrible wifi and phone signal (AT&T) so if you are looking to unplug from electronics this house is perfect. Also wished there was more natural light. The house needs bigger windows to allow for more natural light and better unobstructed beach view.

We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach and the quiet neighborhood perfect for families. The kitchen utensils were well stocked and we liked being able to do laundry. The beds were comfortable too. Though it stated that toiletries were just starters we did feel that some of the items could have been more stocked (toilet paper and hand soap specifically, as we did have buy some additional which could be more difficult to do if a family was flying rather than driving to the destination. Overall, we enjoyed the house and thought all the updates were done well and it was fun to see the before and after pictures in the photo album.

The house was nice good view nice short walk to the beach- rooms and beds were small. Kitchen had all items needed. The thermostat only allows you to turn it down to 72 - none of us slept good, we were all hot every night, that was hard. I will now know to ask this questions in the future.

We had a wonderful time! It rained almost everyday, but the house was in a curve in the road so it had an awesome view of the ocean, so you could watch the storms come in. They had lots of inside and outside seating, plenty sleeping accommodations. This was the first time I was on a vacation where I was able to sleep the first night in a strange location.
The negatives, which was more because of the rain than anything else was the roaches. The oven and microwave need to looked at because they don’t heat properly, and I wish there was a true grill in order to cook outside.
These minor issues , though an inconvenience, did not ruin our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

The beach area was never crowded, and the neighborhood was quiet. The pictures on the post were current and accurate images of the home. The home was clean, but trash was left in the pantry and debris in the kitchen trash can. The house had a musty smell upon entering and a carpet stain in the master bedroom. Nothing overwhelming. We would stay again.

Great Location
This property is in a great location, just a couple minutes walk from the beach. It's also far enough down Galveston Island that you don't get much in the way of crowds. This may not be the best place to stay if you are looking for a hopping nightlife scene, but for a family looking to spend some time at the beach it was great.
I would warn that this home has the LOUDEST dishwasher I have ever heard. To the point where I was concerned that it might wake up my kid who was in the nearest bedroom. But aside from that, no other complaints, and the deck is great!

This was a great house. The generously sized deck had both covered and uncovered sections, so I could be outside in either the sunshine or the rain (and I had both during my stay). Great view from the deck, down the street to the beach. The house was larger than expected, with plenty of room in living and dining areas, plus the bedrooms. The door code did not work upon arrival, and I spent almost an hour sitting on the deck while Turnkey tried to get me inside the house--which is when I really appreciated the text communications. Even with the delay in getting inside the house, the staff response was prompt and professional. We didn't really cook much, just coffee and tea so I can't speak much to the kitchen set up. I do wish they had had wine glasses--I ended up using water glasses. My only real complaint was the parking. The listing indicates space for four cars, but we could barely fit two. Perhaps another car could have parked on the other side of the stairs or parallel to the house on the gravel. But it seemed tight. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay here again.
