The sunrise and sunset from the deck was breathtaking! The sound of the water and waves could be heard from the deck, which was so soothing at night.

This house was perfect. My family enjoyed their stay. The only thing they said could be improved was the floors looked like they weren’t swept…no biggie we did it and rolled on. I would stay here again. Also a great location.

Short getaway for the weekend and this location and property were perfect
About 75yds walk to the beach. Honestly wishing I booked a longer stay

I messaged before arriving that we are not bringing any pets and requested to waive off pets fees . I don’t see that settled in my final bill . Place and dishes were very dirty and sent pictures as soon as we came. Got no assistance or compensation from the property manager.

We paid so much to find that the place is not clean or well maintained. Pictures are from past or spiked.
- when we entered there were dog hair all around. We had to cover dirty couch with sheets and go to grocery store to get a mopper and clean it
- WiFi wasn't working... Though not a big issue for me since I went for vacation
+Everything there is old and dirty and needs replacement. When we washed and dried our clothes they came out with fine dog hair on them. The place is for dogs ... Not humans

Beautiful gulf view house, very spacious, just a quick walk to a lovely beach area! We will be back.

Beautiful home outside. Arrived to find trash on deck, dirty ceiling fans, dirty windows, rug not vacuumed. Good supply of bath towels and washcloths, needed more hand towels. Tv in bedroom didn’t have remote, called manager for this on Sunday, got it on Tuesday. All overhead lights in kitchen out, these were replaced on Wednesday. All lights out in car park area, this was worked on on Wednesday.

Location and home is beautiful, but really need to get a better cleaning crew. Upstairs loft, which has a low apex ceiling was very dusty. Someone came out cleaned what she could and left saying “not sure what or why the ceiling looks like that, but got what I could.” Then she left, ceiling fans had not been cleaned in a while… you could see the dust build up. VACASA did nothing more to accommodate. Shame, because it really is a great location and beautiful home, but I am paying a significant amount for cleaning fee, for what? Not good… need to fix this problem.

The house was amazing, access to the beach was right there. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Extremely happy with the entire package.

Home was clean and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing vacation. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the breeze and the part of the island it’s on stays quiet.

Great location and easy walk down to the beach. The ac unit wasn’t great at keeping up but the management company was quick to bring some portable units to keep us comfortable. As long as the heat and air are replaced we would definitely stay again!

Pro’s: great location, beach access and layout of cabin. Great open concept of the kitchen. The bedrooms had plenty of beds to accommodate our 7 adults and 5 children (ages 2, 3, 4, 8, and 11). Con’s: floors are dirty including living room rug (white pet hair everywhere), master bathroom rug smells like pet urine, hall toilet had residual mold, coffee cup in cabinet had mold growing inside of it, coffee pot with old grains was stored away in cabinet, nails on deck are sticking up causing injuries to kids feet as they run and play, WiFi password does not work leading to WiFi not working, and the biggest con of all was the AC was not working upon arrival. Local property management lacks care and concern. There didn’t seem to be an urgency to repair this issue the first night. They couldn’t get a hold of their local AC guys. I guess they aren’t allowed to use anyone else that isn’t on the island. It wasn’t corrected until Saturday morning around 10:30. Ultimately, we were given a choice to check out the initial night, but there was no mention of a refund or any concern for the fact that we had just all drove down for a reunion after not seeing each other for two years. There was no concern for where we would go if we checked out. We decided to stay because we wanted to see each other. So we stayed, we slept in 80 degree temps, and we cooked breakfast the next morning in it as well. We were given the option around 8:30 the first night to open windows and sleep with windows open. The windows had no screens on them. We couldn’t do that in our bedroom because our 2 year old gets out of his pack and play occasionally. It just seemed like half hearted solutions for the price we paid per night. Our third option which was given to us between 9-10 that night (and that was after panic dialing local management from a different number because they wouldn’t answer phone calls from my phone). We were offered to pack up everyone and go stay at another cabin on Bolivar, BUT only for the night. It didn’t seem like a smart solution for us. Kids were sleeping and it was jeep weekend so it didn’t seem safe to drive with kids in the car at that time. I didn’t even have time to mention to management any of the other issues because we were so focused on the AC. We requested a refund and have still not received it. We also bought a hammer and fixed the nails on the deck. If an AC repair isn’t urgent then neither is the deck or anything else for that matter.

I was so disappointed in this house. When we arrived the house was not as clean as it should have been. I had to wipe down all the kitchen counter tops to get dirt off and dried food. Internet never did work we tried everything to get it up and running , resetting the router did not even help. Took forever for someone to respond about the internet problem. Master bedroom had bad water damage on the ceiling. The house needs a good paint job. The door of the house would blow open and almost kill someone if they were standing it its way. The internet pictures and description of the house need to be updated the house is very run down. The pots and pans in the kitchen are so old and dirty they need to be replaced with new ones. The large refrigerator smelled so bad when I opened it and the small refrigerator was chained shut so you could not use it. Thank goodness the weather was sunny because we spent most of our days down by the beach. One other thing the yard has bad stickers that will stick in your foot to the point you can't get them out and make your foot bleed so please wear a good pair of shoes if you are walking on the yard. I have stayed at other houses that put this house to shame its too bad because the house is in a good location.

The house looked exactly like pictures. But we had numerous issues with the property management company VACASA upon after we arrived, they are doing a huge disservice to the property owner. First thing we notice when arriving is the carbon monoxide alarm and fire alarm are both disconnected and sitting on the bookshelf?! I notified VACASA and they responded saying they made a note of my concern but did nothing about someone coming by to fix it. The Wi-Fi didn’t work the entire trip. Despite 6+ messages and 2 calls. I took a screen shot from my phone showing the network name they provided wasn’t available and the password didn’t work. They responded “Thanks for reaching out and letting us know of this! I've sent your message and your images to the local team so we can get more information from them about their installation”. My response “We can’t use TV in bedroom because Wi-if isn’t working. The TV in the main living room doesn’t even turn on. No wi-fi and no TV. What are y’all doing to fix this? We have a house full of people". The TV in the living room did not work. After sending messages about the Wi-Fi not working, we called VACASA for assistance. By now it was “after hours” & they could only note for someone to contact us the next morning. They would not provide a name of who would contact us or a time frame for someone to contact us. It took 22 HOURS for someone to contact us about the Wi-Fi not working & they called to tell us they couldn’t reach anyone with the Wi-Fi installation team so they had no answers. My message: “Putting this down for documentation purposes. It is 6:12 PM Sunday night & we finally got a call. 22 hours after we called. Zero resolution. The lady said she can’t get a hold of the Wi-Fi people so there is nothing that could be done she will make a note that we should get a refund she doesn’t know how much." The Wi-Fi didn’t work our entire trip. The TVs did not work the entire trip. Pack accordingly! There was ½ roll of paper towel in the kitchen and couldn’t find any more in the house. Off to the gas station we go, 5 miles away. Then we ran out of toilet paper. No more to be found in the house. Off to the gas station again. Big inconvenience when you hadn’t planned to leave the house for a few days. A large roach crawled across the wall in the guest room. Tried to find the roach after it crawled on to the bed, only to find trash under the bed from a previous guest. We found pretzels in the couch – not ours.

Overall we did have a good time, however there were a few issues with the home that we feel are important. The first is that the deck needs some maintenance and the second is that there are only 2 deck chairs, not the seating shown on picture or as the management company said, which was not enough for our family. Had we known we would have brought our own chairs.. Also had some trouble with the wifi. Called the management company several times but could not get it to work. But none of these things are a deal breaker. This is beautiful home with great views. Everything was clean and furniture was good. Even with the problems noted above, we did not let it ruin our vacation. Would stay again if the deck repairs were done and more seating on the deck. You are paying for the view - would like to sit on the deck and enjoy it!!
