We had a total of 16 people ranging in age from 8-82. My husband and I, our 4 children and their spouses, our 5 grandchildren, and my 82 yo father. This was our annual family Christmas. We have been doing this since our 14 year old grandsons first Christmas, and the consensus was that this was the best one yet! The house was perfect for our family! Beds were comfortable, plenty of room to spread out, and the game room was a huge hit with both the kids and the adults! Will definitely stay again!

This was a great place to disconnect and spend quality time with family! The game room was great for the younger teens and there was plenty of room at the dining room table for all of us, making meals a wonderful time to reconnect.

We had a group of 12 guys (for a golf trip). We needed 2 air matresses to accommodate all with a bed, but that was not an issue at all. There is plenty of room in some of the bedrooms for an extra mattress. The house was excellent. It's beautiful and has plenty of room for people to spread out. Having the games and other activities was very nice. It worked perfectly for our group. The only downside (which was explained to us in advance) is that there is no dock access from the property. As they explained, you can get in the lake from the property, but it's shallow and muddy (and there were a lot of logs and stuff floating, but it had rained a lot, so I suspect that may not always be the case). I'm not sure if the lot is zoned for allowing a dock, but if so, that is the only thing I can think of to improve. Our group had an excellent time staying here and will likely book again next year.

We had a group of 16. Ages 8 to 67. The game room was a big hit with all. Kitchen was well stocked over and above expectation. Bathrooms and showers were wonderful. Beds comfortable. House and property was beautiful. The host was so kind. I highly recommend this house. You won't be disappointed.

With seven bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms, this property really worked well for our family! The well-appointed kitchen was perfect for cooking meals and eating as a family. There was plenty of seating at the kitchen and dining room tables and nearby countertop bar seats.
The property included two side-by-side large refrigerators, as well as a chest freezer. Very nice laundry room with plenty of space and up-to-date washer and dryer.
Beds were comfortable, plenty of parking, nice outdoor furniture and fire pit. The game room was amazing and had activities for everyone, regardless of their age!
David was very prompt to answer any questions that came up for us. Overall, it was a great week and we highly recommend this property.

Great house for family to stay in. Unique with lots of room. Kids & adults LOVED the game room. Plenty of kitchen are with lots of extra refrigerator and freezer space. We also went to the land between the lakes and hiked one morning, but mainly everyone wanted to be in the boats. There was plenty of seating room in both the living area and the dining area. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Internet reception was spotty but that wasn't all bad - kept the teens off their phones.

Huge house with room for 18 comfortably! Places this big are hard to find for our entire family. Everyone agreed - comfortable beds, luxurious/huge marble showers in three bathrooms (two were double heads) and the gameroom was enjoyed by all! Lake access and veiw was limited (but that was known prior), we were able to tie up our fishing boat on property. We enjoyed the kayaks, inflatables and sprinkler. There was an issue with the stove and ice maker, but David was very communicative with this and allowed us to purchase an electric double burner stove top and had a counter top ice maker as work-arounds for both. Overall, 4.5 stars - great place to host our family!

We booked this lake house for a 3 night Kentucky vacation with my parents, sister's family, and my family. We had 10 adults and 2 kids total. The game room was the highlight of our stay. We all spent many hours there enjoying playing with each other. We encountered a small issue that was out of the owners control and he was extremely responsive and made it right as quickly as possible. Several of the bedrooms do not have blinds or window covers, that didn't bother me much, but I'm an early riser. Some of the family members that liked to sleep in didn't appreciate the early morning sun. All things considered it was a great stay in a great location on the lake and close to a few marinas.

This property was perfect for our large family trip. There was more than enough room for everyone and the kiddos loved the game room. The backyard was always busy with activities, we even built a fire and had s’mores one night. We utilized the boat dock and went across to the beach, which again was a great kid activity. We had an issue with the a/c but David was very responsive and went above and beyond in making sure it was fixed and our stay was great.

We had a family reunion here and it was wonderful. It was exactly as described in the listing, The beds were comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. Place was perfect and the owner was very communicative and helpful and made it so easy. We loved the place and would love to come back. This area is quiet and welcoming.

My family, friends, and I all traveled here to celebrate our sons college graduation. We had a blast, this place will not disappoint you. The property has tons of space and so many cool features and amenities it kept all of us occupied. We got to enjoy the property, the area and each other. This property is like being at a lodge at a resort. Very beautiful and spacious in a picturesque setting. Beautiful views from every window especially the back. Upscale kitchen and laundry room appliances and what a laundry room which has a second refrigerator and lots of storage space. We felt blessed to celebrate our family Christmas here and will cherish the memories for many years to come. The owners are very personable and responsive. It is important to them that your vacation stay is a good one. My family highly recommends this property and we hope to have the opportunity to return some day.

Layout is not a normal house but it is great for large groups. Separate area for the adults and kids have their own game room. Unusual. Kitchen is large and allows for multiple people to be prepping for meals. We were able to pull chairs from other spots to have enough for the table but if you filled up the beds you would have to utilize the youth table concept and possibly bring in some folding chairs.

We had a wedding on this property. Overall the house provided us with all our needs. Plenty of room and activities inside the house. Great communication with the owners they were very helpful through the process. If you are going to have several cars at the property I suggest setting up a car pool or other parking arrangements. We will forever remember this house it was beautifully decorated and enjoyed our stay!

We love this house! Second year we stayed here. New owner has really been updating and replace things. Stayed here with family - 16 of us. House is very large, game room was enjoyed by all. 6 things to do in this room! Only down fall is there's not really a good lake view. I would get a permit or something to remove ungrowth so you would get a better view of lake. We rented a pontoon at Lake Barkley, and went kayoking at Lake Barkley State Park - great beach. Of course there's some minor things that need looking after - but the upkeep on a home of 5,100 sq. foot has to be hard to keep everything working properly. Owner is very responsive to any problems. Even met the housekeeping staff - who also was very responsive - told us to write a list of suggestions/or things to check out. We are spoiled by this house, with the space, dining, game room and all the bedrooms and bathrooms. No other house we feel would come close after staying here.

Fantastic layout for large groups. We had 3 generations and they all loved it, especially the kids who enjoyed the game room. We made use of the kayaks, an unexpected find. The owner was great at communicating. It was a long and winding road to get anywhere from the house but so is everything in that part of Kentucky. We went to the Woodlands nature station and Golden Pond planetarium, Maggie's jungle golf, rented a pontoon boat and had a blast at Venture River Water park. But mostly everyone just loved hanging out together in the house.

Very happy with the property. Fit our needs for 20 people perfectly. The game room was especially a hit with the teens and your children. Lots of room for everyone to do their own thing. Our age range was from 6 mo. to 78 y/o and this home suited everyone. Thank you so much for sharing it!

This Lake house was plenty big enough for all of us, the grandkids had a blast in the game room. We saw lots of wildlife in the backyard and on the road in the neighborhood. A great place to get the family together and play games together and reconnect with each other.

The home is gorgeous and spacious! Cleanliness was below standard-cobwebs everywhere, needed dusting, floors were not swept, and had not been swept under couches and furniture, which could be seen by other seats in the area. There were some comments in other reviews about broken globes on light fixtures, burnt out bulbs, etc those had not been fixed or replaced. Of the 7 bedrooms only 4 have doors- so no privacy. Was concerned when I stepped out of the shower(in the upstairs bathroom) and could see my sister waving at me through the reflection in the mirror, from the bunk room windows!! As we were with more than just immediate family this was very concerning! Need curtains in that bathroom!! The home was well equipped with bedding, kitchen needs, and games, had a blast with my family. Tons of places to group and visit. Games room was a huge hit!

Great house for a large gathering!
This is a really nice, unique house for a large gathering. We had an extended family gathering with small kids, and with a few adjustments (see below), found the house great for that purpose. It's also situated on a large, beautiful lot that was great for taking family pictures while we were all gathered.

- The balcony and stair railings are very widely spaced, not safe for babies and toddlers. (We used temporary snow/sand fencing from Lowe's, attached with zip ties, to make the railings safe during our stay.)
- Bunk room is open to the living room, so if you have kids sleeping up there, you will want noisemakers and you may have to be noise conscious. (We just gathered in the sunroom to get farther away.)
Overall, a great experience. We would stay again.

Great for families
This was a very large house allowing 18 of us to stay comfortably. The game room was a huge hit with our group keeping our younger crew entertained for hours. Especially since it was so hot! The owner was very responsive to questions and with info about the area. Wi-Fi was good but no one had cell service if that matters—T-Mobile and ATT. Overall a great place to eat, play games, enjoy the lake, and enjoy our family time.

There were 13 in our group of family members coming from several places around the country. The check in was easy. The space was huge, and loved the game room. Plenty of room to cook and eat. Back yard was spacious. I believe this property “could” be amazing. Some disappointments were not having much view of the lake, and the place to swim or tie a boat was not very appealing or usable. We bought a small blow up pool for the littles since they were not able to swim with them there. The property seemed unkept and dirty. The grill was not useable due to the burners being rusted through. We ended up smoking our steaks. The upstairs bath had a sign to turn away the shower head to avoid leaking. I did this , but there was still leaking downstairs. This should be fixed. Many wasp nests around the soffit area, and had to spray for ants in the kitchen. Purchased wasp spray to keep the kids safe. Mowers came and blew grass all in the pool while we were outside. The oven was inconsistent even after following directions to the letter. The refrigerator drips water onto the floor. I believe either the property manager is dropping the ball by not checking out things, or the owner is unaware or doesn’t care. Signs posting a requirement to launder a minimum number of loads of towels after paying a cleaning fee seemed ridiculous but I washed 4 loads of laundry before leaving. Overall, the property was doable because of the size, but I would not stay there again, unless some things got addressed first.

40th Anv & Family
The house was nothing short of amazing for a group of 21. The house common areas are all open so, people could have separate discussions, play cards, play games and still felt like everyone was together. The game room was the most popular place to hang out. Even though there were no kids all of us Adults really enjoyed the game room.
The size and layout of the kitchen made it easy to prepare all meals but sitting together was not possible but again the kitchen table and dinning room table were not that far away.
We all enjoyed the house and we have already booked 2023 so we can all get together again.
