It’s not always easy to travel with a larger dog, but Aneka was extremely welcoming and made it so easy to stay. Her apartment was clean, warm and perfect for our quick visit to the Redwoods!

Comfortable lodging in a great location, convenient to town, beach and redwoods. Aneka is warm, welcoming and fun to talk with. She answered all our questions immediately.

Enjoyed a 3-night stay to see redwoods. This lodging is located in a rural neighborhood at a 10-minute drive from Crescent City town center and harbor. Greeted by helpful and generous host, who offered treats like eggs from her free-range chickens. Stairs up to a 2nd-floor loft for cozy hide-away.

This is a cozy cottage as advertised. A bit rustic, and small, but warm and welcoming. We got "rained in" one day and this was a perfect cozy place to spend the day. Aneka provided fresh eggs and tips on where to go. This spot is close to the ocean beaches and the redwood forests as well as a nice town to replenish travel supplies, eat out, etc. We stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay.

While the place was charming, the stove and oven were old and didnt work as expected. On the positive side, fresh eggs from resident chickens were supplied as well as most condiments.

This unit is quiet and cozy, on a very secure property, just minutes from downtown Roseburg. Our host was very welcoming and friendly.
It's a farm-type environment, with chickens and horses, surrounded by trees, givng a very secluded feeling conveniently close to the city. The full kitchen even included some fresh eggs!
There were three of us, and even with just one bedroom, we did not have to double up. One bed, one large and comfy sofa, and a comfortable cot worked out fine.
Could not have asked for better. I am so glad I chose this place to book.
Highly recommend.

Cozy and comfortable!

Not so inviting entry way. Cobwebs everywhere, dirty windows. Windows were open to cool the room down, and we found it full of flies from the nearby horses, because there was no screen on one of the windows. I feel cheated because there was a cleaning fee and it didn't look all that clean.

My daughter and I wanted a quiet place near the ocean. This was perfect. It was very peaceful, quiet. Our host was very nice, friendly and personable. An added bonus was being able to bring our dog and he had room to romp.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! 💓 Gave us a comfortable home away from home while we enjoyed the beach and the Redwoods! 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from Jed Smith State Park entrance...location cant be beat! Annika was very kind and accomodating!

Such a treat to find this red barn, complete with chickens & horses! Had fresh eggs and coffee for breakfast.

Unique stay in a barn guest home. Aneka was a gracious host and left us fresh eggs from her chickens on the farm. The place was clean and quiet, and we felt relaxed during our stay. Aneka provided us with some great recommendations to go for food in town! Would stay here again.

We arrived late and communicated with Aneka our eta. She responded quickly and had no issues finding the place. It is secure, super cute.
It is a loft-style one bedroom. Clean, quiet and perfectly located. Our dog loved all the smells and little gated area was nice addition for a dog.
The pet fee is totally reasonable extra. The fresh eggs and stocked fridge was a added bonus.

We enjoyed our stay. It's nice to let the dogs out without having to get dressed/leash up. The rental had everything we needed.

When we first started the process of finding a place to stay in Crescent City, CA, to spend time at the beach and to see the awesome Redwoods Forest, something about this place caught my husbands attention. Maybe it was the clever name? Maybe because it really is just that, “The Hideout” It’s a great place to stay and the home owner is extremely gracious and welcoming. She even left us fresh organic eggs from her chickens! This is a dog friendly stay, completely fenced in so your pupperoni won’t get lost. The Hideout is actually located in the Redwoods forest close to the Jedediah entrance point. We have found our home away from home and will stay here the next time we visit the beautiful Redwoods Forest!

My wife and I stayed here on a trip down the coast. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked well for making breakfast and dinner, and there were even fresh eggs and other food stuff in the fridge. Aneka was friendly and helpful too.

We were so happy at how great the hosts were with communicating at every turn. Its the most adorable little farm with chickens and horses. The entrance was separate and even a little fenced in area right outside our entrance in case we just wanted privacy, let our pup out to run around a little, with nothing to chase or just a nice lunch on the table they have. So very happy with our stay and plan on coming back sometime again.

The property was very close to the ocean and also the Redwoods. Aneka's property reminded me of being in the country with the chickens and horses. She also gave us fresh eggs and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great time. Thank you Aneka.

Had a wonderful four night stay. This property is very clean, quiet, and peaceful. The water is excellent and everything we needed was provided for a homelike stay. There is a small fenced yard that worked perfectly for my dog, and my son enjoyed visiting the chickens. My family hopes to return.

The barn was cute and cosy and we all slept well. But there was a smell of old musty and mildew that was apparent each time entered in from outside. Fresh air from outside helped.
The host was courteous and we details were well placed. If it wasn’t for the feeling that things were not very clean (the smell-surfaces were clean but it seemed like the carpet might have been there too long) it would have been such a nice experience.

Our host was so thoughtful!! She gave us fresh eggs and other groceries for breakfast. The loft was a great size for us and we really enjoyed our stay at her beautiful and comfy home 😀😀

CAREFUL! My dog was attacked by the hosts dog. I took my dog out to separate fenced area when the hosts dog burled through the fence to attack my dog, leaving a 6 inch laceration with puncture wounds. Her dogs are very aggressive. Her dogs are not secured away from your pet if you travel with one.
She was unwilling to help with the vet bill, saying that since I didn’t register my dog, it wasn’t her problem. Expedia also did not have a button for me to register my dog, so I was unable to.
Other than this horrible incident, the area was beautiful.

This is a great location for either going to the waterfront area or if we’re going to the redwood forest. The host was very friendly, communicative, and responsive to any needs.
