About this condo rental
Nestled in Surf City, this charming condo for $280 per night is a great choice for your next break. Enjoy a week or (less) at the beach, in the perfect spot by the ocean, at a very affordable price! Apartment/ flat, is close to everything, especially the ocean! Couple's so far, have found the accommodations to be more than comfortable and convenient, with adequate room to relax in style! A well equipped kitchen, separates the living room from Bedroom/bath. Bedroom leads to back patio where you can grill or sit out. For your convenience, sheets can be furnished along with towels. Please let me know...because, some prefer to bring their own. For those who will be visiting 3 days or more a washer and dryer are available for your use, in a private clean utility room next to your back sliding door! A grill on the patio is for your use ...weather permitting! Nothing fancy, just charcoal.. Enjoy listening to the ocean sitting on the front patio or take a walk from the driveway to the beach access, directly across the street! Topsail Island is a barrier island. It is surrounded by water. Intra-coastal waterway is on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side. It's a rugged island and has been through many hurricanes. Every one takes a toll but, Topsail comes back even stronger! Come visit, see the history that made this island so interesting!! Laid back and easy going, ride bikes if you want to rent them or rent a golf cart and tour at ease. Many Island restaurants close by 9 p.m. , I might suggest, plan on eating earlier and party after! Come as you are nothing fancy just a nice time and great memories!!

Great host, terrific location(beach access across street, quiet neighborhood, we didn’t need a big place knowing you spend your time on the beach. Kitchen had every thing, nice to see the extras you might need to cook with but didn’t bring or need to buy . Comfy bed, loved the thick towels ! Would definitely book again .

Recommended Recycle venders/ please put extra recycle waste cans in rental so recyclables can be sorted . Plastics, paper, glass, compostable waste
That way there will be no discrepancies when it comes to disposing of waste. Put signs on outside trash cans indicating recyclables and compostable waste. This would be beneficial for renters to know . Also land scraping stepping stones need to be anchored down or removed accident waiting to happen.

Close to beach with easy access, she even shared beach chairs with us, hate that some bad person on the beach stole the chairs and my dogs toy but not owners fault. Very easy to work with and responsive to questions.

It was wonderful being so close both to the beach and to the restaurants while being on a quiet little road. The accommodations are very comfortable and welcoming. Carla has gone out of her way to make it a home away from home.

We were more than pleased with our stay at Anchors Away! Just perfect for the two of us! Could easily walk across the street to the beach access and just close enough to the “main” downtown area to drive a few minutes or walk if it wasn’t too hot. Very quiet area and the owner was so accommodating! The property was just as described-would definitely stay here again! Thank you for a very relaxing vacation!

The property was exactly as described, so no surprises. Could not ask for a better location. We enjoyed our relaxing vacation on the beach, just a very short walk across the street.
Future bookers should know that they should grab necessities before crossing the bridge. Grocery stores and restaurants close by 9!!!! Stop at Food Lion, Walmart or Publix. It will save you time so you don’t have to worry about food! Carla was FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Carla and we will see you again.

I was thoroughly impressed with the location and property. The apartment is well-kept, well stocked, and has all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Carla is an amazing host and goes out of her way to make sure that her guest are well accommodated. The property listing is accurate and a convenient spot with the beach access directly across the street and restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. I was pleased with this property selection and would highly recommend for your next stay.

This property was Cozy, Clean, Comfortable and Convenient ! Every thing you need is there from towels to beach chairs. So close to everything in Surf City that you can walk easily to but its still quiet. It took us only a minute to be on the beach. Everything this listing says or shows is accurate. We will be going back !

Carla is a great host! She communicates well, had the place set up for our arrival
with windows open, radio playing, lights on and all the things that made it feel like home away from home. Carla was extremely nice and loves to chat to find out more about her guests. She then wants to know what we enjoyed so that she can share with other guest. Amazing hospitality!
House is small and cozy just like the descriptions say. The convenience of being less than 100 yards from the ocean makes for great flexibility going back and forth to the beach. We had perfect weather and an amazing time. See you again soon.

This rental property was perfect for me. It was quiet, but close to shops, grocery store, all different kinds of places to eat and of course the beach. Couldn't have been better unless you were right on the beach. Cute and very clean little bungalow. Carla has thought of everything you might need for a delightful stay. Would definitely stay here again.

As most of the rentals have so many stairs, we were looking for an easy entry location. This ground floor apartment fit our needs perfectly. It was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Carla was a great host.

The apartment was small just like the pictures on VRBO but it had a cozie livingroom with a small TV but had a lot of stations plus premium ones. The bedroom was a little larger but I had to squeeze into the bed on the wall side however the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. There ls a seating area outside the bedroom door and also an area out front. Now for the reasons we really liked the the apartment: we were really close to the beach like maybe a few minutes and about five blocks from town. If you like walking around the beach is great and a short walk will get you food, a craft beer or a great cup of coffee. The IGA is a small but adequate place to buy groceries . Last hats off to Carla our host who was very nice and accomodating.

Location is convenient to the beach with a 30 sec walk across the road to the beach access. Apartment is small but perfect for two and was comfortable when we had two guests for the afternoon. Within walking distance to restaurants either on the beach or on the streets behind the property. Fresh fish scallops and shrimp available at JMs right out the back door if you want to cook in. Carla was very accommodating to us and our fur babies and always available for any questions and was even waiting for us as we arrived. Bed is more comfortable than our own as was the futon. Plenty of pots and pans and kitchen accessories. We were sorry to leave and would definitely return. Today was a sad day getting up in the morning and not being able to grab a cup of coffee and walk across to the beach.

Carla’s property is exactly as listed - quiet, central location and steps to the beach! It was perfect for my husband and I, as we joined our family in Topsail for a beach vacation.
The apartment is clean, well maintained, and perfectly decorated for the beach! Carla was a gracious host and communication was excellent.
Would definitely recommend a stay at Anchors Aweigh!

This property is quiet and comfortable, as advertised. Hostess was helpful and friendly. The walk to the beach is literally across the street and over the dune, very quick and easy. The beach is fine sand, and the water stays shallow a long time so you can wade in pretty far and feel completely safe, with some surf if you want to jump waves. Not too crowded either. Several blocks south there are a few restaurants and tourist shopping. Wilmington NC is 45 minutes away and offers a more urban vibe and a beautiful river walk. We really enjoyed this trip.

Beautiful 4th of July weekend getaway!
Perfect location, stone's throw from the shore . Very nice area and pet friendly beach. Perfect for us with college daughter. Very crisp and clean, Carla takes very good care of her property and knows the area well. Lots of activity and restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely return.

The house was so cute decorated so pretty the host was so nice and was actually there and helped us with whatever we needed I would really recommend this place for a nice summer vacation I really did not want to go back home I miss it already

We rented property for 7 days from sat to sat it got so bad that she asked us to leave and wouldn’t give us our money back we left that Tuesday only 3 days after we arrived she claimed we didn’t tell her we have 4 small dogs which we did they are well behaved and potty trained according to her if u put wee wee pad for emergency in her book your dogs aren’t trained long story short she was everything but nice .I will never recommend this property to anyone that has animals even if they are well behaved like mine are she fed wild birds and stray cats dogs bark when they see cats

Carla was a great host. The apartment is well maintained and was as described on the VRBO site. The location and easy access to the beach was amazing. My wife and I, along with our two chihuahuas, felt at home and enjoyed a great week at the beach.
