Nestled in Wellfleet, this attractive cottage for $306 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This 2-bedroom cottage is nestled on a wooded hillside overlooking a salt marsh in the Indian Neck area of Wellfleet. Wildlife abounds around the cottage, with regular sightings of rabbits, foxes, turtles, wild turkeys, and many types of songbirds. There are several other small cottages nearby on the hillside. There is a large deck with a dining table that seats six, four Adirondack chairs, and a gas grill, as well as a fully-enclosed outdoor shower with hot water. The open-plan living space has two sets of sliding doors that open up onto the deck, providing ample natural light. There is a small but well-equipped kitchen, renovated in winter 2023. Appliances include a full-size refrigerator, electric range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and food processor. In the kitchen, you'll also find an AquaTru countertop reverse osmosis drinking water system that provides ultra clean water for drinking and cooking. A counter height table with seating for four is between the kitchen and living area. Two additional chairs are in the hallway closet. The comfortable living area adjacent to the kitchen has a spacious sofa and two armchairs, along with a TV equipped with basic cable and a Roku device to connect your preferred streaming services. Three skylights in kitchen/living area provide extra light and open up to help cool the house throughout the day (there is air conditioning too!). Behind the cottage you’ll find an extra-large hammock surrounded by towering pitch pines. The house has mini-split AC/heat units in each bedroom and in the main room to keep you comfortable on particularly hot or cold days. New luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in bedrooms in 2022; Pella sliding patio doors installed spring 2023. Lastly, we're attentive, easy-to-reach owners and focused on ensuring that you'll enjoy a stay at our lovely little cottage. We're sure you will fall in love with the Indian Neck area of Wellfleet.

My husband and I stayed on Fox Island and had the most wonderful time. The hosts were amazing. If I a question they would reply right away and help me out! We highly recommend vacationing here. Close to everything driving and walking.

Our first day of vacation was during the hurricane. Heather was very accommodating so that we could make some changes. She also responds very quickly to all emails! Her rental was very clean and so comfortable. She has thought of everything. Indian Neck is a special place. The bay is a short walk. The ocean is a short drive. There are fantastic places to eat. We didn’t want to leave! We were two couples. You couldn’t fit more people in this space but it was fine for the 4 of us. I would definitely rent this place again. Thank you Heather for everything!

We loved this cottage. Comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. Responsive owner. Perfect location with easy access to town and trails and a lovely view of Fox Island marsh. We would definitely return.

We really enjoyed staying here. The house is beautiful and comfortable, though small. The deck does a very nice job of extending the living space and we used it for most of our meals, morning coffee, reading, sitting and watching the birds on the bird feeders .... Staying here definitely added to our enjoyment of the cape!

Pros: Cottage is a decent little place. Photos are accurate. Probably a little nicer than the photos indicate. Neighborhood is nice, near Indian Neck beach. Very quiet area. Cons: Property was filthy when we arrived, hadn't been cleaned after the prior guests left. Floors were covered in sand and pine needles throughout the whole cottage. There was nasty, rotten food in the kitchen sink. There was a pile of soaking wet, dirty towels in the bathtub. The tub itself was dirty. Very poor first impression. The property is on a small dirt road that has many deep puddles. Probably not appropriate if you're driving a sedan. The outdoor gas grill on the deck is broken, so don't plan on grilling any food. The grill doesn't get over 300 degrees so it's more of a slow cooker than a grill. Overall: I contacted the owner about the filthy conditions of the property. They were apologetic and offered to make things right which I appreciated. They appear to be absentee owners without a local property management person to ensure the property is in good condition. Would I stay here again? I'd look at other options first and recommend you do the same.

We enjoyed our stay in this cute cottage located with a view of a salt marsh in Wellfleet. The cottage was clean and furnished just as described. It was cozy and just perfect for our needs. We loved that it was close to many of the activities that we enjoy doing in Wellfleet, visiting the Audubon Center, spending some time at Marconi Beach, and driving out to Provencetown. We also visited some new beaches. There are so many things close by. The owners were very easy to reach for questions and were very helpful. We look forward to a return visit.

First time in Cape Cod - this was a great location - 10 - 15 mins from most of what we did during our 4 night stay. The cottage was clean, bright, modern and had comfortable beds. Easy towel & sheet pick up from The Furies - about a mile away. A nice, quiet area to walk around.

Nice clean cottage close to beaches and town of Wellfleet. The driveway is a little rough. Water was not potable and the dryer was broken on arrival. However, overall we had a lovely time and I would recommend this cottage to others

We were lucky to rent from a person who was willing to make a referral offer next door neighbor property. Together, e were able to have plenty of room and keep our family together. The cottage was roomy clean, comfortable and not too far from the beach (when we cut through our friend’s yard!). We would certainly consider renting again..

We had a wonderful week in this comfortable cottage. The setting is beautiful, up a hill with views of the marsh and trees. There are lots of windows letting in light and scenery. The deck is very pleasant for dining, reading and birdwatching. The location is close to town and there are great places to walk right out the door. We had everything we needed for a great vacation – thank you!

This property is private and has the best of both Wellfleet worlds, the beauty of a wooded area and several beaches to walk or bike too. The double sliding glass doors are ideal for light and viewing nature. Clean and comfortable.

It seems that we were one of the first renters of this house since there were no reviews at the time I booked. This property is pretty much exactly as described. Most importantly, it was clean! The owners were easy to communicate with as well. We liked the location and being able to walk to the bay was a sweet bonus to the rental. I didn't do a lot of cooking as it was a short stay but I did look around and saw that pretty much everything we would have needed was there. The house is small and for two adults it was perfect. I think we could have brought our two children and everyone would have still been comfortable but leaving them at home for the first time was the best idea we've had in ages :-) I wish it had been clearer from the images that other homes were so close. I don't think that this is a huge problem - just unexpected. I like to rent a place where I can't see another house - so this was different for us. I do think I would have missed out on a nice experience if I had known the homes were so close. Remember, nothing is new or fancy at most rentals on the Cape and this place is no exception. As with any house near the water, it can get a bit musty. Open the windows, bring the salt air in, and enjoy!

We had a great stay with our little family of four at this simple but comfortable cottage, in a great location of wellfleet, and definitely hope to stay again. Quiet and tucked away in the woods where my kids could explore but also close to beach. Don’t forget the sheets and towels like we did! (although the hosts graciously helped us out with this) and were easy to communicate with. FYI Washer not available as listed due to water conservation.

We took a chance being the first renters of this property with no previous reviews to go by and were delighted with the overall experience. The cottage was clean, spacious, comfortable and was centrally located in Wellfleet. We especially enjoyed the large deck birdwatching while drinking our morning coffee. Heather was a pleasure to deal with and we hope to return soon!
