About this house rental

Situated in Fairbanks, this attractive house for $239 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Enjoy a stay in a cute and cozy one-bedroom cabin on a pond. I built this home with the intention of living in it after my kids are grown and out of the house so I've designed it with lots of love and attention. The pond is private and all the homes on the pond are owned by me or one of my family members. The area across from the house is my families construction business and sometimes during the day, on a weekday, you will hear some heavy equipment use, but this is not often and will only be during typical work hours. Otherwise you will find plenty of quiet seclusion here. Perfect getaway for a romantic trip or just time with family/friends. The kitchen boasts beautiful white granite countertops, a deep set farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and all the tools and gadgets that you need to cook delicious meals. The house has stained concrete radiant floor heating throughout, giving the house a rustic but cozy feeling. There is a full size sofa bed in the living room to accommodate two extra guests. The bedroom is a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and nightstands with cordless charging station for your cell phone. A ceiling fan keeps the room nice and cool in the summer but extra warm in the winters. The bathroom has a deep set jetted bathtub with a personally designed beautifully tiled shower surround. The vanity has plenty of storage space for your toiletries. There is complimentary face wipes, cotton swabs and cotton balls and a hair dryer. There is a washer and dryer for your use in the utility room. There is wifi throughout the home with a roku tv where you can log into your favorite streaming app to enjoy a movie night or catch up on your favorite tv series. Because the home is situated on the water, I have two kayaks available for your use. You can enjoy some time out on the water where you can see ducks, geese, cranes and sometimes an eagle or a hawk and then you can come back to the house and sit out on the porch and grill some steaks while enjoying a gorgeous view of the water. You may also get to catch a glimpse of the young male moose that likes to come play in the water from time to time. I also have a small propane powered outdoor firepit that you can sit and cook smores over.

My wife and I stayed here prior to doing a land/sea cruise. It was a beautiful cabin and just as described in listing. We would recommend and would stay here again if back in Fairbanks!

Enjoyed a three night stay at this property, and were lucky enough to catch the northern lights on the first day. Property is outside of town, so plenty of darkness for viewing the aurora. Cabin was very nice inside and well equipped. Plenty of room for two, and lots of nice touches inside. Amenities were as advertised, and the interaction with the owner was very good. Only negatives were the surroundings were not well reflected by the pictures with industrial excavation nearby. The other was the well water, which after you’re used to the odd odors, the pump kicking on at every water use was quite loud so be aware. Overall a very modern property and nice stay and seemed to stand out among choices in the Fairbanks area.

This house is cute and in a beautiful setting! The house is on a property with other homes but you would never know. It’s very private. The house had so many cute touches, was nicely decorated, and very well equipped. It was a perfect place for my husband and I to explore a new city and relax. I can’t wait to come back!!

Staying in the cabin on the pond was everything we wanted for this return trip to Fairbanks’s. The location was great, easy to travel to so may places, the fall days on the pond were beautiful. Hostess did a wonderful job of stocking the cabin for a wonderful stay.
