About this house rental
Nestled in Sawyer, this lovely house for $4,221 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Summary: Welcome to Sawyer Country Estate! This 7 bedroom, 6.5 bath home is on a secluded 2.4 acre lot less than a mile to downtown Sawyer, and minutes to Warren Dunes Beach and the southwest Michigan wineries. Enjoy the large 25'x45' pool (with safety cover) and spacious yard. In the off season, enjoy the proximity to the areas wineries, breweries and distilleries only a short drive away. Southwest Michigan has so many offerings that you'll never be disappointed in what you can do all year! We offer weekly rentals from early June through late August, Friday through Friday. Off-season rentals are 2-night minimums and holiday weekends are 3-night minimums. The Space: The 5,300 SF home offers multiple spaces for groups to gather and plenty of outdoor space for enjoying the pool deck and yard. On nearly 2.5 acres this property caters to larger groups and families looking for a secluded retreat. WEDDINGS AND EVENTS: While we are not an event venue and its in a residential area. We can host small weddings group gatherings with total event occupancy limited to the capacity of the house, 25 people. We do not allow DJ's or bands. Limited catering is permitted. Guests are responsible for any damage casued by vendors they hire. BEFORE BOOKING, PLEASE CONFIRM UNDERSTANDING OF THE CANCELLATION POLICY. CANCELLATIONS DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS (INCL. COVID-19) ARE NOT EXCLUDED FROM THE POLICY SO GUESTS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BOOKING. WE DO RECOMMEND GUESTS PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE IF THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT POTENTIAL NEED TO CANCEL PRIOR TO THE STAY. Other Things to Note: If inquiring through VRBO, PLEASE SELECT DATES FOR YOUR INQUIRY (even if they are different than the ones you are looking for). This helps streamline communication. PAYMENT TERMS: For direct bookings through our website and VRBO, 10% of the booking amount is due when booked and the balance is due 60 days prior to the stay. We enjoyed the spectacular home for our moms 80th birthday celebration. A thoughtful and delicious gift basket was provided for her arrival. The property was immaculate and the outdoor fire pit and hot tub were big hits for our fall weekend stay! We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the amazing pool. The house is well stocked and incredibly comfortable for a large group. The location is great. We always received quick responses to all of our questions. Everyone in our group would recommend highly.

We had the perfect stay here! The home is even better in person than the pictures. We had plenty of room for 20 guests. The beds were comfortable and each room was extremely clean. The kitchen was the most well equipped rental we have ever stayed in. We hope to be back again one day!

To begin with, from the booking of the Sawyer to the final checkout, everything was more than expected. When communicating with management a reply was always received very promptly and questions were answered thoroughly, and I emailed a LOT of questions. The house and yard were amazing. Welcome basket, coffee bar, smores kit, all bathrooms stocked with items you might have forgot (q-tips, cotton rounds, etc.). More than enough space for our family of 16 adults and 7 children from newborn through 8. Having so many bedrooms and bathrooms made gave everyone they're own space and privacy. We were able to utilize everything from the outside pool, bar, firepit, patio furniture, and yard. We also used the upstairs deck and loved it. The kitchen was a dream and having 2 refrigerators really helped with food and beverage storage. Pool table and ping pong tournaments went on throughout the stay. I cannot find one negative thing to say about our stay. All adults and kids loved everything about our stay. If anyone is on the fence about staying at the Sawyer Estate, I would highly recommend going for it, You won't be disappointed. Thank you Sawyer Estate management for thinking of everything and making our family reunion one that will always be remembered.

After a lot of planning and research, we recently held a large multi-generational family reunion at the Sawyer Estates and the property did not disappoint. Having planned many reunions over the years, I can say this property is truly exceptional. All of the big and little details have been thoughtfully planned. A few highlights that we really appreciated included:
- Temporary ramp installation on the side of the house provided wheelchair access for our guests
- Backyard was incredible: Outdoor kitchen/bar, resort-sized pool, fully fenced and very level yard to enjoy lawn games, a fabulous fire pit, Yeti tumblers to keep pool-side drinks cold, and the perfect mix of sun and shade. We spent almost all of our time outdoors.
- Excellent beds, bedding, towels, and extra blankets around the house left our guests wanting to purchase the same products for their own homes.
- Chefs kitchen enabled us to easily prepare meals for a large number of people (2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, a KitchenAid mixer, and high-end range/stove).
- Responsive Management team: When severe storms washed out sand under a few patio tiles creating a tripping hazard by the pool, a crew was onsite to make repairs over the weekend in just a couple of hours.

We used The Sawyer House as a place to gather our family for a week long birthday celebration. Ages ranged from 90-13!
A fabulous, beautiful place with everything provided including generous gift baskets with all needed to get started. All equipment and supplies were top-drawer quality level. Communication and response from property management excellent. Excellent game equipment. Several big screen tv’s including one o/s where we watched movies every night. Big, big pool which I suspect is a salt facility since no chlorine odor and it’s affect on skin. Upstairs bedroom privacy takes some compromise as access to some is through an adjacent bedroom. Not a problem for us as a family. All bedding, towels etc were excellent quality including plenty of pool towels. Great washers and dryers. For us (the older couple) the downstairs bed was luxurious but overly soft!

This was by far the best experience possible; from easy communication with the owner/team to the pleasure of staying in an absolute dream home! The space is so well thought out, plenty of bedrooms/baths complete with luxury linens, and several seatings areas to relax. Truly makes a large group of family or friends feel comfortable. They thought of everything too... fully stocked bathrooms, chefs kitchen, coffee bar, stunning outdoor space with heated pool. And spotless! We loved every second we got to spend at the house. What a fantastic property! My girlfriends and I stayed for the weekend for a quick getaway girl's trip, and we had an amazing time. The property is impressive and has everything you need to host a group, large or small. We visited in the winter months, so we didn't have the opportunity to access the outdoor space, but even without being able to enjoy the pool and outdoor bar, the property was perfect for our needs. I highly recommend the Sawyer Country Estate, and we look forward to returning!

We had the best weekend through and through!! We were a group of 20 friends staying for the weekend and had a blast. The property was absolutely beautiful, and the team went above and beyond to make our arrival so easy. Before arriving, they answered all of my endless questions, and they made the whole process enjoyable. The house was amazing, and slept 20 of us comfortably. We loved the Sawyer area more broadly but loved the house the most!!

We travel every summer with a group of friends and all of our kids. After 15 years of doing this we know how the little things matter. This house left us wanting for nothing. It was very clean, saying it is well stocked is an understatement-everything we needed was there-plus the extra wants like plenty of dish towels, yetis for drinks by the pool, pool/beach towels etc…
The yard, patio and pool are amazing! We had room for a bags tournament and many other yard games. The grill and outdoor kitchen were also great.
We did not need to contact Andy for anything but before we checked in he let us know when the house was ready and he also communicated when he or others would be on the property for management issues. So I know his response time would minimal if we needed anything.
We would definitely return here-

A lovely, well-appointed stay
Our extended family had such a relaxing time together staying at the Sawyer Country Estate. While we enjoyed the many nearby amenities, including fruit stands and U-picks, restaurants and breweries, and the dunes, we enjoyed most of all that we could easily access relaxed summer time together around the pool while kids napped. Having dedicated space to each nuclear family made for a very stress-free week, with a lot of extra touches like wireless phone chargers in each bedroom, a large icemaker, and a great outdoor grill space with bar, TV, and refrigerator. We'd definitely bring our large crew here again to stay!

McD Annual Family Vacation
The pictures don’t even do the Sawyer Country Estate justice. There have been many improvements that make the experience better than expected. Property manager and owners were very attentive. We actually had five children under seven included three two year olds and there was more space than we needed and the backyard was amazing! We will be back.

A Fabulous Family Reunion in Sawyer
Do not miss the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house in Sawyer! The hosts have thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable and fun. Our group ranged in age from 82 to 16 and there was something for everyone to do at the house as well as around the Sawyer, MI area. Wonderful layout inside and out! Five star experience!

Sawyer stay
We had our college aged kids home and we took them and their grandparents to sawyer for thanksgiving. The house and yard were perfect. We made a whole thanksgiving spread for everyone but also enjoyed walks in the dunes and trips to microbreweries. The kids even used the jacuzzi at night. All in all it’s a great property to enjoy the beaches and fun of southwest Michigan.

We were celebrating my son's wedding, which took place this past summer, out east. We invited his cousins from Illinois and Michigan. We could not have had a better place for this gathering than this house. We all felt spoiled with the accommodations and everyone had a great time. Can't say enough good things about it! Fabulous stay!
This property was everything it was advertised as, and more! It is spectacularly beautiful, very clean and thoughtfully done. It easily accommodates a large group and provides privacy, while still feeling cozy and warm. The owners were also very responsive, and even found my daughter’s precious stuffed animal that she left behind. We loved and it definitely would plan to return!

Amazing property for our family gathering, even better than the pictures
We rented the property for an extended family vacation with 8 adults and 10 children and everyone had a great time. The house and grounds are beautiful, modern, and clean. Bedding and towels were soft and fluffy, house was fully stocked with everything we needed (and many things we hadn’t even thought of!). Housekeeping service made it feel like a hotel when we arrived with soap and shampoo in the bathrooms and rolled towels. The kids loved the bunk room and even found a fun “secret” space to play. The property manager Andy was in touch with us throughout the trip snd very responsive. We spent time inside and outside on the property, and also traveled to local attractions. Already discussing a potential return trip next year!
