Unit is nice. Lots of room, convenient parking, well stocked kitchen and nicely decorated. Was a good spot for our family.

The suite is conveniently located near many of the attractions that Victoria has to offer. The immediate area around the suite at night is a gathering spot for some "interesting" characters typical of many downtown cities. We didn't venture out late and the actual street that the condo is located on is very quiet; we had no issues at all and felt completely safe during our stay. Access to the enclosed parking and the building are secured by keyfob operated doors. The building is older and while maintained, it is showing its age. The pictures of the unit represent the space of the suite well and the furniture shown is accurate and appears to be newer. The rooms are bright with large windows in the open concept living room/kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to prepare our meals onsite. What isn't evident in the pictures is the need for proper drywall touch-up and a coat of paint throughout. There are several areas where the drywall has been poorly patched and never sanded or painted. The baseboard, door frames, drywall and window coverings all show signs of wear and tear. General condition of the condo shows its age and need for updating. The listing notes that it is new but a quick search online by address shows that a short-term license was issued in January 2019; perhaps it is new to VRBO or a new owner? Most reflective on my 2-Star review was the lack of detailed cleaning. While general surfaces of tables, counters and kitchen/bathroom fixtures were clean, several areas showed evidence of no cleaning at all. In the main bathroom, there were run marks on both a wall and door frame as well as what looked like white toothpaste splatter over the back of the door. A large hair was tangled in the bathroom door hinge and missed during the last cleaning. There was visible dirt over the area rug in one bedroom; it is was evident that it had not been vacuumed at all. One door handle had something stuck to it and was easily removed with a wet paper towel. It is concerning that high-touch surfaces may not be getting properly disinfected as per VRBO COVID cleaning protocol. A washer and dryer is listed under amenities but both machines contained laundry; I didn’t check to see if the towels in the washing machine were clean or not. We were disappointed with our stay and would have contacted the host if we were staying longer than 2 nights.
