What a beautiful , well kept historic home. Great location for our Mardi Gras experience.
Would definitely stay again.

My husband and two adult children came to stay at this beautiful home. We were excited for our long weekend stay to enjoy Mardi Gras with nearby friends. The house is so beautiful inside. It really is just comfortable and well appointed with glossy wood floors and tall ceilings and ceiling fans in every room. Situated close to downtown and the WWII museum, Magazine St. shopping and dining as well as just a couple blocks from St. Charles (trolley) provides a great base. The beds are clean and comfy - plenty of pillows and blankets. Kitchen has everything you need. Washer and Dryer works great. Living room is comfortable and a tv in almost every room. I love the decor - simple but tasteful. One bathroom is small, but we all managed just fine. It has everything you will need - hairdryer, lots of fluffy white towels, and even a cabinet of necessities gifted I imagine from previous visitors. Robert and his wife are so nice. They were so responsive to every email I sent their way. They really made us feel at home. We will definitely keep this house on our list of places to stay in the future when visiting beautiful New Orleans!

We came to spend time at the WW II museum and it was an easy six minute, safe walk. We also spent time in the historic district, easy to get to! We took the trolley which was only two blocks over. Everything about the property was clean. Kitchen was well stocked, much better than most short-term rental properties. Robert was an excellent host. he lives next-door but it’s not bothersome at all. Parking is on street but readily available. The property was exactly as described. It was very nice to stay in a place that felt like New Orleans! Not a generic, gray and white sterile property.

This home was perfect for our stay in New Orleans! It was spotless and the host had thought of everything. Classic New Orleans charm with modern updates. A short walk to the streetcar!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It's away from the chaos of the French Quarter, but so close to everything - you can walk to the Garden District or over toward Canal pretty easily, and anything further was a quick and easy Uber. The house itself is not only gorgeous but well-appointed - everything you could think of that you might need was there, and the host is incredibly gracious and easy to work with. This is my first VRBO rental maybe ever that didn't come with a long list of check-out procedures, which made the whole trip all the more relaxing. Highly recommend this property for families visiting New Orleans!

We enjoyed the stay, it was peaceful and the authenticity of the home made it feel as if I stepped back in time …

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, spotlessly cleaned, tons of towels and all amenities provided, great communication with host. Only issue we experienced was a brief wifi outage (resolved the next day). The location is also great for walking to French Quarter and down Magazine st through the Garden District. If you’re going to go down the apartment rental instead of hotel route, you can’t go wrong with this one.

We had a wonderful visit in this gorgeous New Orleans home. It is meticulously maintained and very clean. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry room were well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. My husband, daughter and son-in-law all agreed it really felt like home. We had no problem parking our cars right in front. Easy walking distance to the streetcar stop and to the French Quarter if you didn’t want to wait. Robert is a great host and very responsive. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

This was the absolute perfect rental for our group of 4 women for our weekend trip. Easy walking to shopping on Magazine Street, WWII Museum, and French Quarter & Bourbon Street. If you're as ambitious as us, you can even walk all the way to Frenchman Street and then into Bywater. Check-in was seamless, host was communicative and friendly, and neighborhood was safe and adorable. Would 100% stay again.

Clean and comfortable home and very well stocked. Great to stay in a traditional New Orleans home. Well equipped kitchen if you find yourself wanting to eat in. The owner was very responsive and helpful. I stay in rentals regularly for work and this was certainly one of the best. The neighborhood was very nice and many good restaurants in easy walking distance. The Convention Center was an easy 1/2 mile walk which was great for the work part of my trip. We were also suprised with how quiet it was at night and we slept comfortably. Parking was also available nearby and most often right outside the home.
When we head back to NOLA we hope this home will be available!

This property is amazing. From the safe street parking, to the private entrance and completely secluded back patio. This charming shot gun house is located directly in between the quarter and the garden district. The inside feels like you’re right at home and the host have thought of everything! I will definitely book again.

Beautiful old home, with lots of charm and space. Perfect distance from both the French Quarter and the Garden District. Easy access to the freeway, and the trolley lines as well. Would definitely stay here again when in New Orleans!!

Good location on Magazine. Superclean, spacious, top rate appliances and well stocked kitchen with condiments, coffee, tea, cold water.
Just remember no cable and you need to go thru one bedroom to get to the next. Modern bathroom in between. Excellent communication with owner.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very old and has a classic New Orleans feel, but has been tastefully renovated and recently updated with all the important modern appliances and amenities. It was very clean, and nicely decorated with some lovely plants and plenty of local art. Some nice little touches: a Keuirg machine and tea box with creamers and sweeteners; a few snacks; and lot's of helpful books and magazines about the area. The owners were very responsive and kind. An easy walk to the St. Charles streetcar line, plus busses running right down Magazine street. We found street parking fairly close by, and were able to move our car right in front of the house before leaving. Our 6 and 7 year old kids loved it, there were a few child safety features that showed the owners thought about kids in their planning. Overall a great place, the kind of place I felt like I could live in if I lived in New Orleans.

My friends and I were in town for Essence Fest, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay than this one. First, the pictures on the website don’t do this beautiful home justice. From the artwork to the high ceilings to the bedrooms everything screams vintage New Orleans. If you are into the little details, then this is the place for you. They even put little black makeup towels in the bathroom for ladies to use. The location is awesome and Robert couldn’t have been a better host. He maintained excellent communication with us and was the first person to greet me upon arrival. It is so easy to see why this place has a perfect rating. Don’t hesitate for a moment to book here. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

This rental was absolutely lovely, it had everything you could need and more. The location is perfect for families because it isn't close to the party French quarter scene and it's not too far from the best sno cones I have ever had at Hansen's. The rental is a couple blocks from the st. Charles street car which was a quick 15 minute ride into downtown or a long cruise through beautiful garden district in the other direction. Our son enjoyed the backyard area and the tv that came with all the streaming apps. The host was quick to reply to my messages and made the experience even better by suggesting a few restaurants. We will definitely be back!

My sister and I stayed for a long weekend at this beautiful property. I’ve stayed at many VRBO rentals and this was by far the best stay I’ve had. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. There was absolutely everything that you could require at this convenient location that is full of history.

We enjoyed our stay here in NOLA. We were very happy with the house, furnishings, beds and linens. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee things for our first morning. There is a great breakfast place up the street, Birdy's and another great dinner place at The Bower. The house was easy to find and street parking was usually easy to find. The neighborhood felt safe and we didn't feel uneasy about leaving the car parked on the street. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay in the fun "shotgun" style house.

The property is lovely. Charming neighborhood and great transportation. The bus to the French quarter is inky a block away and to return stops in front. 3 blocks from St Charles Ave..

My family of four stayed for a week in this beautiful house, and it couldn't have been a better stay. The house is immaculately clean, outfitted with many amenities, and is located within walking distance of myriad shops and restaurants. Robert was a great communicator -- the owners really go the extra mile here. We'll surely be back!

My wife and I visited form New England and very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment was well stocked and very nicely appointed. From this location we walked all of the garden district and walked into the business district/ french quarter (a little bit of a walk but New Orleans is flat!). Many dining options nearby. We had a vehicle with us and had no trouble finding street parking the two weeks we stayed. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed over the MLK weekend (4 adults), and we were very impressed with how warm and welcoming the house felt. The house was very clean and completely updated. We literally felt like we were home. The host provides practically everything you need and can think of if you forgot to bring something. The French Quarter is about 20 minutes away, amongst other sites to see (WWII Museum). The house is off a popular street with many eateries (I recommend Surrey's Cafe and Juice Bar) and boutiques. Very charming! I recommend this house for your stay, you will not be disappointed, and we will be back here soon.

Pictures don't give this property the justice it deserves! From the decorative iron on the front porch to a 10' pocket door down to the porcelain and iron doorknobs the detail of historic New Orleans shines through all the modern amenities. Ample room for our family of three. Comfortable beds, lush towels, large shower, and all the tools and appliances you need in the kitchen made our stay feel luxurious. Wonderful collection of books about New Orleans to read up on the history and architecture. Location was perfect! Just a short walk to WWII museum, fabulous restaurants (highly recommend Cochon), great little coffee shop and the Charles St street car. Owner was very pleasant and helpful for "first timers". Thank you so much!

We appreciated being able to walk to the downtown areas and up Magazine Street. The home was so well done with fireplaces, brick and comfortable furniture. The owners even provided us with a great gumbo.

Perfect historic house for small family with comfortable beds and furniture. Very well appointed kitchen…easily cooked entire Thanksgiving dinner. Very nice, safe neighborhood with WW II museum quick walk away

We loved staying here, it was even better in person than in the photos. It’s super close to a ton of restaurants and shopping, as well as the French Quarter! The property was clean, well maintained, and in a great neighborhood. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We (3 adults) stayed for 5 nights over Halloween , it was our 1st time in New Orleans we came for the Anne Rice Vampire Ball. The place is amazing it has so much character but it's modern where you want it to be (bathroom/kitchen) the wood is amazing. It is fully stocked with everything we could wish for including snacks, it totally added to the whole old time NOLA experience. The neighbour hood was great, we had coffee on the front porch everyone says hi on the way by. It's a 20 minute walk to the Quarter and the street car is super easy to navigate. Our hosts had suggestions on where to go and what to see, they were easy to get a hold of and fast to get back to us. I would totally recommend this little house to anyone going to New Orleans.
