We are within walking distance to the National WWII Museum, the Morial Convention Center, the streetcar line, and we are 12 blocks from the world-famous French Quarter. Our neighborhood has a French Truck Coffee, a wonderful salon on the corner and some of the best Chinese in the city at Blue Giant located in the next block. We are located right across from the bus line. This Victorian-era double is split down the middle with you on one side and the owners living on the other. The front two rooms of your side are bathed in natural light from the large windows and the ceilings are adorned with giant decorative medallions. Relax in the front room watching our 56-inch TV or surf the internet with our complementary Wifi at the dining room table. A print signed by renowned Louisiana artist George Rodrigue hangs in the dining room. Through the dining room is a full kitchen where you can enjoy a cup of rich New Orleans coffee in the warmth of the morning sunshine from the large window that overlooks the seating area. It is stocked with basic cookware, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, toaster and coffee maker. Coffee, tea, creamer and sweeteners are provided. The first bedroom past the kitchen has a queen bed, ceiling fan, closet, dresser and full-length mirror. The bathroom is in the hallway that connects the bedrooms and boasts a custom tile shower with rainfall shower, handheld shower spray and marble bench seat. We supply fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer. The second bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan, clothes rack and lovely view of the neighboring garden. My husband and two adult children came to stay at this beautiful home. We were excited for our long weekend stay to enjoy Mardi Gras with nearby friends. The house is so beautiful inside. It really is just comfortable and well appointed with glossy wood floors and tall ceilings and ceiling fans in every room. Situated close to downtown and the WWII museum, Magazine St. shopping and dining as well as just a couple blocks from St. Charles (trolley) provides a great base. The beds are clean and comfy - plenty of pillows and blankets. Kitchen has everything you need. Washer and Dryer works great. Living room is comfortable and a tv in almost every room. I love the decor - simple but tasteful. One bathroom is small, but we all managed just fine. It has everything you will need - hairdryer, lots of fluffy white towels, and even a cabinet of necessities gifted I imagine from previous visitors. Robert and his wife are so nice. They were so responsive to every email I sent their way. They really made us feel at home. We will definitely keep this house on our list of places to stay in the future when visiting beautiful New Orleans!

We came to spend time at the WW II museum and it was an easy six minute, safe walk. We also spent time in the historic district, easy to get to! We took the trolley which was only two blocks over. Everything about the property was clean. Kitchen was well stocked, much better than most short-term rental properties. Robert was an excellent host. he lives next-door but it’s not bothersome at all. Parking is on street but readily available. The property was exactly as described. It was very nice to stay in a place that felt like New Orleans! Not a generic, gray and white sterile property.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It's away from the chaos of the French Quarter, but so close to everything - you can walk to the Garden District or over toward Canal pretty easily, and anything further was a quick and easy Uber. The house itself is not only gorgeous but well-appointed - everything you could think of that you might need was there, and the host is incredibly gracious and easy to work with. This is my first VRBO rental maybe ever that didn't come with a long list of check-out procedures, which made the whole trip all the more relaxing. Highly recommend this property for families visiting New Orleans!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, spotlessly cleaned, tons of towels and all amenities provided, great communication with host. Only issue we experienced was a brief wifi outage (resolved the next day). The location is also great for walking to French Quarter and down Magazine st through the Garden District. If you’re going to go down the apartment rental instead of hotel route, you can’t go wrong with this one.

We had a wonderful visit in this gorgeous New Orleans home. It is meticulously maintained and very clean. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry room were well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. My husband, daughter and son-in-law all agreed it really felt like home. We had no problem parking our cars right in front. Easy walking distance to the streetcar stop and to the French Quarter if you didn’t want to wait. Robert is a great host and very responsive. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you!
