Everything about the property was amazing! The location was perfect, the pool was amazing, the beds were extremely comfortable. Tons of wildlife - birds, monkeys, and the daily visit from the toucans. Amazing view of the pacific. I highly recommend having dinner prepared by the private chef, we had it our arrival day - it was absolutely delicious and so nice not to have to worry about figuring out dinner after a long travel day. Natasha was very responsive and great to work with. We can't wait to come back!

The kitchen of the house is very well equiped and the sunsetview is breathtaking. Natasha and the owner of the house really know what guest need. Natasha was so friendly and welcoming, we had such a great stay and enjoyed it very much. Thank you very much:)

This house is great definitely won’t disappoint and we hope to return. Natasha is fantastic and is super helpful. We had toucans come each day and they would peck on the window to wake us up. A Costa Rican alarm clock.

This house is amazing! Fantastic location - close to town, yet feels like you're alone in the jungle. Tons of wildlife - birds, monkeys, etc. The property manager (Natasha) was extremely helpful and great to work with.
Our family can't wait to go back!

It’s not an understatement to say that this home exceeded our expectations, and they were high!
The pool is incredible, and the toucans visiting in the morning were a great bonus.
The bed was super cozy and the A/C in the bedrooms worked great.
Natasha and team did a wonderful job. We will be back!
The Central Pacific coast was the perfect place for our first visit to Costa Rica. Uvita and Domincal have lots of hidden gems to explore.
The early September weather was perfect; we had plenty of sun but also experienced some amazing jungle rains.
Tha k you!

This property is beautiful and perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of the Costa Rican jungle. Not only that, you get a view of the pacific ocean from a comfortable and spacious patio. The pool is amazing and the property is lush and well kept. The local property manager Natasha was key to ensuring our stay was perfectly memorable. She was avaliable, helpful, and added a first class touch of care to our stay! Groceries are very close by and the town of Uvita itself was great. Easy drive to Dominical too. You will not be disappointed at Casa La Vista!

I will try to keep this as concise as possible, but that will be hard.
Even before the trip date, the level of communication and support from the Property Manager Natasha was outstanding. I had a pretty sizable list of desired activities (ATV, Whale Watching, Beach Horseback Riding, Waterfall Tour, Private Chef Night) and she nailed them all with reservations that I pre-paid before arrival - extremely convenient.
The property itself had a lot to live up to just based on the posted pictures, and let me assure you that the pics, while accurate, actually fall short of the real life experience. The space is impressive, and the full house length back deck with infinity pool and extension is amazing.
In addition to the house layout, the property owner Sherry is so considerate and has thought of every possible amenity to facilitate the stay. The house is SO well stocked, in terms of appliances, dishware, glassware, cutlery, spices, coffee, tea ... everything you could possibly need.
Also, the wildlife surrounding the property is amazing, I caught great video of a beautiful Toucan that seemed to visit almost every morning, as well as great audio of the Howler monkeys that call out daily as well.
It was our 20th wedding anniversary trip, and my wife said this was the best trip ever - topping our Hawaii trip, and that says a lot.
Will absolutely do an encore.

Definitely need four-wheel drive.
House is beautiful.
The property manager was extremely helpful in identifying things for us to do and where to go to eat, and very easy to communicate with. She kept up-to-date on our experiences and went out of her way to make sure we were getting the most out of our stay.

My husband and I came ro stay here for our honeymoon. We wanted someplace private and secluded. This house fit the bill! It was very well stocked and felt like a second home. The toucans came for a visit every morning. We also watched several species of monkeys frolicking in the trees. Natasha was great to work with, and she was always available for us. Make sure you rent a 4x4 for the driveway! It came in handy on other roads as well. Tbis is a must see!

We had a wonderful time at Casa La Vista! The property had everything we needed. We saw parrots, toucans, a sloth and monkeys from the balcony. Loved it!

We couldn’t have asked for a better home, location and house manager. This home is absolutely beautiful. The outside is just as lovely as the inside. The daily visit from the Toucans was an extra nice surprise. The bedrooms are generous in size, water pressure is great & the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed dinner on the patio several nights. The pool is wonderful as well. We swam every day and enjoyed the jungle / ocean view.
Natasha is a huge help. She assisted with planning weeks before our arrival. Her communication is quick and super helpful. She is very knowledgeable and booked several excursions for us. This trip was a 10/10.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and providing Natasha’s assistance. I hope to visit again.

Our time here was perfect. The house is beautiful and well stocked; the owners have thought of every little detail. And, the outdoor area and pool are just phenomenal. We saw toucans every day, hummingbirds often, and heard howler monkeys nearby. We felt so relaxed and refreshed while here. The location is great for activities in and around Uvita. We found several delicious places to eat thanks to Natasha’s recommendations. Natasha is readily available, and she is incredibly helpful and kind. A true 5 star experience,

This property was stunning, better than depicted in the photos. I would return without hesitation.

This was our 2nd stay at Casa La Vista - we booked here last year and enjoyed this spectacular home so much we made immediate plans to return and booked again for this year!
Everything we love about this home - the space, the various balconies & sitting areas, and the outdoor livability - continue to be our favorite aspects of the home.
The kitchen is well-stocked which is helpful for us as we prefer to cook at the house and simply enjoy the slower pace of things.
The home is convenient to grocery stores and restaurants - a quick 3-minute drive down the hill - yet secluded, private, and surrounded by trees.
Bring your binoculars as birdwatching is plentiful! We also were treated to a few separate monkey visits - mainly howler monkeys. We miss waking up to the sounds of the two "resident" toucans who perch just above head in the tree over the pool.
Check-in and communications with the owner and with the delightful management team couldn't be easier or more pleasant. The management team is always easy to reach and quick to respond. They are full of fabulous ideas for local places to enjoy, tours to take, and restaurants to check out! If you are newer to CR, you'll be thrilled at what a great resource they are to make your stay at Casa La Vista extra special.
As before, the house is spotless and stylish, comfortable and spacious. The house even includes a number of games, puzzles, DVDs, etc for a rainy afternoon.
We are in love with this house and we hope to return someday!

The property was private, beautiful and we had an amazing time!! We loved cooking and watching the wildlife in our own backyard. We saw Toucans, Parrots, and two types of Monkeys, and Iguanas, along with beautiful butterflies all over the backyard!!! It was an incredible experience in all ways!! Natasha and Sophia were the best and were always there to help us with any questions or information that we needed!! They would always respond quickly, no matter what time of day or night!! This home was beautiful in every way!! Thank you for offering us an incredible first experience of Costa Rica!! We will be back Natasha and Sophia!! We also are serious about getting together with you WHEN you come out to stay with your family in Arizona!!!

This house and the location are everything you could hope for and more in offering the best of both worlds, a wonderful blend of a beautiful escape and a sense of tranquility, mixed in with having the beach and many other conveniences within 5 minutes from the home. The home is absolutely stunning with the infinity pool and deck stealing the show. When we were at the house, it was where we spent the bulk of our time as we just could not get enough of the natural surroundings.
Natasha, the house manager, was also another fantastic highlight of making our experience as special as it was. I didn't realize we would have this added benefit when we initially rented the home, but having Natasha was the icing on the cake. Her help in providing rental car recommendations, securing experiences for us, and working with us to set up our itinerary in a way that provided us with exactly what we were looking for made the unknown less stressful as a first timer visiting Costa Rica. Upon arrival, Natasha would check in periodically to see how things were going and if there was anything else we needed. She was just a gem and a true asset to the home owners and their guests.
There really are no negatives about the experience we had. This home and its location provided us the opportunity to unwind and bond as a family while getting to have some incredible experiences.
As others have stated, make sure you get the 4x4 to get up to the home as it is critical.
So glad we chose this home!

This house is well worth the effort of getting up of the driveway, once you do it, it'll become 2nd nature and you'll love seeing the entrance at the top of YOUR Rental!!! It has everything for comfort and convenience--just a joy to hang out in this beautiful home...
Enjoy every feature about it! It's pure pampering, and don't forget to ask about in house massages!! Pura Vida!

Beautiful property. Amazing views. We used the pool and patio a lot. Kitchen had everything we needed. Natasha was very helpful too. Wonderful vacation and lucky to stay in this beautiful home.

From the decor to the picture perfect views, this home is what dreams are made of. We barely left because it’s so private with a gourmet kitchen and infinity pool over looking the pacific. Natasha, the property manager is so great and was always available if we had questions. Can’t wait to come back. Pura Vida.

This property was beautiful! It has a breathtaking view over the pool. Lots of outdoor seating. Very roomy indoors. We had troops of monkees visit a couple times right off the deck! The absolute best reason for renting this house is the property manager, Natasha! She went above and beyond to make our 2 week stay the best it could be. She has a list of activities she will arrange for you, plus restaurant recommendations. But we could call about anything and she would get info for us. She was very responsive when we reached out to her. Michael, the owner, truly has a gem in Natasha. Uvita was a great area and I'd love to visit again in the future.

Fantastic stay in Uvita. The location can’t be beat- you’re up high enough for a great ocean breeze and view, but within minutes of town and the beaches.
The home was extremely clean and comfortable. Our teen girls swore the twin beds and bedding were the most comfortable ever. The master was very spacious and the bed quite comfortable. The bath was great.
The pool was perfect and there were plenty of towels. The deck and outdoor space was perfect. Super comfy place to hang out for dinner or relaxing. We had two troupes of
Monkeys join us at sunrise one morning, it was almost overwhelming to be honest- truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Communication throughout the entire experience was way beyond my expectations. From our original booking a friendly communication from the owner to the amazingly friendly and responsive communication with the property manager, Natasha. We had one minor issue and it was taken care of quickly. The information left in the house gives directions to nearly everything you could want and there are lots of guides to read.
For our fourth trip to Costa Rica, this was a great home in a great location. We’re looking forward to our next trip down!

My husband and I have been to Costa Rica 4 times prior to this trip but this visit was absolutely one of our favorite experiences! The house was an absolute dream and we had everything we ever needed and we look forward to our next visit! 10 out of 10 and we will recommend this property for sure! Thank you, Heather

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is stunning the views stunning and the location was perfect to reach all our activities. And the driveway you get used to it after the second time it was actually a highlight for us. The property manager was excellent and the home exceeded our expectations.

We had a great time. Uvita was much more than expected. The food options were amazing we didn't have a bad meal during out stay. Some of the restaurants boasted some breathtaking views.
This place is perfect for anyone trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Just seeking to spend some private quality time with a partner. While the house did have some quirks, seeing its location some are unavoidable and didn't take anything away from the experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house, amenities and location were all 5 star. Natasha the house manager was super helpful and helped us book a couple of activities. The view is just stunning and it’s only a 5 minute drive to the main road. The last 1 min drive up to the house is super steep. You definitely need a 4x4. We heard some construction noises a couple of mornings but we had expected that so it wasn’t a big deal. I highly recommend this place!

We loved the house. It had tons of space for us and the kids, a great pool, really comfortable beds, and a friendly Toucan couple that hung out with us all week.

Everything was great! The property was fantastic. However, the hill to the house took a little getting used to. We would definitely recommend this to anyone.

My family recently stayed at, Casa La Vista, and I knew shortly after booking the home that our experience would be excellent.
Michael, one of the owners, was responsive and understanding when I realized that I over booked our stay and needed to reduce our reservation by one night.
Natasha, the local property manager, went above and beyond in helping us book activities, she made restaurant recommendations and arranged for her husband, who is a chef, to come to the home and prepare dinners for us during our stay.
The home is stunning. Perched on top of a steep hill surrounded by forest and wildlife (we saw a sloth, toucans and could hear monkeys) with a stunning view of the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are extremely comfortable and the outdoor space is an oasis.
This is THE place to stay when visiting Uvita. Our time at Casa La Vista was the highlight of our trip and we definitely hope to come back in the future!

Amazing property inside and out.
If your looking into a stay in Costs Rica I would highly recommend the Uvita area and more so this property. The construction next door was legitimately no big deal for our whole stay and was never more than a few hammer noises here and there and just realize there is a 99% chance you will be out and about all day anyways enjoying the country.
We saw toucans, frogs and other critters around the property and were awakened by howler monkeys during our stay. The property is very private and feels very safe and secluded while being close to almost everything the pacific coast has to offer. (Be sure to check out Dominical, Quepos / Manuel Antonio, Uvita and just explore the surrounding areas. Basically we found that if it was a dirt road it led to something beautiful. Follow the roads next to rivers and you will find waterfalls at the end.
The property itself is exactly as advertised and pics don’t do it justice. If you are hot blooded then you will for sure appreciate the a/c in the rooms as the humidity can get a lil thick but I’m hot natured so for sure just an opinion.
Shout out to Natasha the property manager for not only helping as a concierge with all of our questions and leading us in the right direction to make the most of our stay but also being available and answering any question within minutes and taking time from her day to ensure we were happy during our stay.
Thank you to the owner for allowing us a chance to enjoy your small piece of paradise.

Casa La Vista is an amazing house in Uvita. Very well appointed and maintained. Very large outdoor areas, pool and awesome view of the ocean. Bedrooms are all air conditioned, bathrooms are very clean and spacious. House has everything you need for a great vacation. Driveway is rocky and steep like all other houses in the Southern zone so definitely rent a 4 wheel drive as it'll make the ride easier.
Stayed a few days here while looking for real estate and this house was the best by far of any we looked at. Some much larger and even more expensive.
I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

This was the loveliest home we've ever stayed in while in Costa Rica. With plenty of modern homes to choose from, this one takes the cake - it has everything we could have hoped for. More than a place to stay, it’s a true home to be thoroughly enjoyed and feel pampered to stay in. If you are looking for a special vacation stay, this home will bring your time in CR to the next level of luxury and comfort.
This home has outdoor space in spades - with nooks, balconies, patio corners, plenty of tables/chairs, sofas, and even a luxurious, well-kept hammock. Each corner of the expansive outdoor patio space is a well-considered space to be comfortable in and to savor the company you are with. Once we arrived, we realized we wanted to spend as much time as possible at this house to slow down and appreciate the beautiful surroundings and all this exceptional home has to offer.
The beds are sumptuous in every way. Hubby even joked “is it bad I want to go to bed early just to go back into that comfy bed?” The plentiful picture windows throughout the home invite the outdoors in.
It is an expected, common occurrence in CR to lose electricity during storms. This home had the most stable electricity of all the homes we’ve ever stayed in. Having sturdy electricity is a bonus of this home. The driveway gate has a battery backup so in event of electricity loss you can still get back to the house - a total luxury. I've been locked out of a gate during a storm at a different CR home and it is a helpless feeling not to be able to get back home. Again, the owner has thought of absolutely everything!
Construction – Do NOT let the construction note/noise scare you away from booking Casa La Vista as you would regret missing out on this special home. The full wall of hedges provides total visual privacy from the construction (so important!) which is far across the road so this really comes down to attitude. We learned before arrival that construction might be a factor so we came with a positive attitude and did not allow the noise to distract or annoy us. Construction is as common as seeing birds in Costa Rica so it's unavoidable. In fact, we plan to return to this home next year so it clearly didn’t diminish our pleasure in this home.
Moreover, the noise didn't keep the wildlife away. We saw TONS of toucans, parrots, macaws, frogs, a plentiful variety of birds, 3 different monkey species, and more!
This house is a gem - the best kept secret in Uvita!

I had a short stay here this past week and all I can say is perfection. The home was wonderfully decorated with all of the amenities I needed. I found the bed in the master bedroom very comfortable.
The home sits in a secluded part of the jungle yet was very close to town, which was very nice for me, as I was alone. I loved the observation deck, as I was able to see monkeys, birds and the ocean all from the comfort of my hammock.
I enjoyed the landscaping that the house had and enjoyed being able to walk around the home while feeling secluded in the jungle.
I will be coming back here for sure, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Seeing the photo of the property again today as I write this review, just brings back a smile to me! What you see on the site is accurate. Beautiful, well kept grounds. Upon entering the house it was spotless and well maintained. The kitchen was so well stocked - we made about 75% of our own meals and we never lacked any tools as we prepared food. We spent 10 days at this lovely home, and ate all but one of our meals outside on the gorgeous outdoor dining room patio! (Had one evening where the rain was torrential!) Beds were very comfortable. The infinity pool was lovely as we stepped out onto the deck each day. Lawn chairs, and towels were provided to take along to an ocean beach. About a 5 minute drive into town, Uvita. We saw capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans, aracari, and numerous other birds. The house is situated surrounded by jungle/paradise. Recommend that you bring binoculars - so you can view the birds and animal life. Also, you definitely need to book/rent a 4 wheel drive with with a 4-low option. The road up to the house is very steep. Definitely want to return to this beautiful home again in the future!

This house is AMAZING!!! I'll outline the pro's after explaining why I gave it 4 stars.
We chose this home even though it was much larger than what we needed for just me and my husband, because it looked isolated and serene. However, the ENTIRE time we were there, they were doing construction not 100 feet away building a home next door. I feel the management companies (we booked under Jaguar and it was transferred to Osa) should have alerted us to the fact there'd be construction noise, starting at sunrise and going until around 3 pm or it began to rain heavy in the afternoon. This meant NO serene relaxation for the 2 full days and the half day we were there. I feel STRONGLY that we should have been offered a different home. By the time we set up the first day - around 3, the noise had ceased and we were settled in. Since we were only there two more full-days, it wasn't worth our time to move. But, this was extremely disappointing.
The other major strike against this home is the fact that there are no light-blocking curtains. The windows to the surrounding landscaping are absolutely beautiful. But there is no avoiding the morning light that pours in around 5:30 am. So, on top of the noise during the day, we were very sleep deprived.
The other minor detracting factors are that the home is on a septic system, so you can't flush your toilet paper. This is kind of gross, but it's not really that big of a deal. Also, the A/C in the master worked well the majority of the time, but shut off in the middle of the night sometimes. I slept downstairs since it was cooler.
Now the pros:
The home is spectacular. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. The finishings are lovely. The queen and king beds are incredibly comfortable (although the sheets on the queen bed were scratchy). The towels are large and soft, the showers had great water pressure, the kitchen had every amenity you can think of including a mini George Forman grill. There is only a toaster size over, but that didn't matter to us.
The wifi in the main area is super fast and reliable. The pool and scenery are unbeatable. The pool guy came on our second full day to clean it out and make sure everything was okay. It was spotless clean. The TV worked great, but the couch only seats 3-4. You will need a 4x4 to get to the house, but there's also a security gate, which is nice.
We saw numerous monkeys less than 20 feet away and toucans and hummingbirds, too.
