Such a lovely place to stay- idyllic location, just wish the British weather would have allowed me to sit outside! My first conference alone and I loved having a little retreat to come back to to relax, thank you so much- sad I didn’t see the hedgehog family!

Location was amazing on the river and 20m from a pub and 100m from village centre Bed was the most comfortable ever Bathroom was amazing and local facilities and historic sites were awsome Food in Hamburg arms was lovely

This property was outstanding...everything was exceptionally clean, and designed very well...the bread, butter, milk etc in the property was very welcome....has everything you need including shower gel, moisturiser etc...the view was amazing and to sit outside every morning to eat breakfast was delightful...highly, highly recommend this property....and the surrounding area is quiet and the village full of history...quaint describes it very well!!

The location provided a lovely river view and was perfect for a walk along the High Street or a short walk to the Roman Amphitheatre. The cottage studio was clean and included a comfortable bed, a kitchen, an abundance of charging points, and a bathroom with a large, hot-water shower. The owner was responsive and kind, going above and beyond to ensure a nice stay.

Good location. Right next to the river and close to numerous pubs, restaurants, Roman ruins and dog walks. Very clean, modern, stylish and well appointed. Quality bed and bath linens.

We advised that we would be arriving an hour ahead of check in time and were told that the suite would be ready for us. However, when we arrived we were unable to park because there was a car on the drive way. There is no where else to park. We went away again for an hour and a half and when we returned, past the check in time, the car was still on the drive way. We had to leave a message on the host’s phone to remedy the issue. The facilities listing says that toiletries are included but there were none in the suite other than liquid hand soap. We had to message the host for some as we didn’t bring any bath soap/ shower gel. There was no bathroom bin. Just an open bucket type bin in the kitchen. No sanitary bags were provided so any used intimate items had to go in the open top kitchen bin. Although all four radiators in the suite have individual thermostats, the heating timing is controlled by the main house so we couldn’t put the heating on when we needed it. It rained all 5 days we were there so we were cold and unable to get our wet weather gear dry. The bath towels were also permanently damp. The bath towels were new and hadn’t been washed (enough). Therefore everything, including us was covered in navy blue fluff. The suite is an apartment within the main house with a separate private entrance. There is a locked door in the hall that connects to the main house. In the bedroom we could hear the sound of cutlery on china from people eating and someone coughing in the main house. There was also someone above us and an several occasions we could hear drilling and hammering in the rooms above. The listing says there is a sitting area and a sofa. There are only two armless chairs, one in each corner of the bedroom facing the bed and away from the TV. There is also a very small desk with a chair. No seating area and no sofa. Although there is a well equipped kitchenette (no scissors!
