Always like to see old buildings repurposed. It was tastefully done.
Only a couple MINOR items, one of lamps next to bed, is missing a twist knob for on off. Plug and unplug only possibility now. Cute plank shelf for coffee maker, microwave looks like it might need some leveling.

The location was perfectly central to Canal Park, which made walking around really easy. The room was very clean, and the Nespresso in room 5 was a very nice amenity. Check-in and check-out was a breeze, which was nice since I was a bit apprehensive about a no-reception check-in as I hadn’t run into that before. Reserved parking was a pleasant bonus too, as parking can be quite limited in that area.
Would highly recommend this place (mainly room 5) for a cozy and romantic getaway.

We really loved our accommodation however, we didn't get much time to enjoy it. Next time we will set some time aside to enjoy it. It was rather expensive for just a place to sleep. Our fault, not yours.

The location is amazing, steps from the lake walk and plenty of restaurants! The outdoor space provides many activities (bag toss, bocce ball, sauna, firepit) to enjoy and is nicely decorated.
The shampoo/conditioner was not labeled in the shower.

The location is fantastic, just steps off of the lake walk! The outdoor space is well decorated and perfect for a cozy night out on the deck. There are many amenities available to enjoy the time outdoors including a sauna, bean bag toss, and a fire pit. The Inn is within walking distance to many of Duluth's great attractions.
Not under the inn's control, but the night we arrived there was a Ragnar Relay Race ending in the park right next to the inn. The finish line has booths of vendors, music playing, and a loud speaker announcing the finishing team's which could be heard loudly in the room. If there is an event in the park during your stay you might want to consider a different location.

The location was really great, in that it was right next to the shore, with a beautiful view from the deck. We loved being able to walk all around Canal Park from the Inn. The room was clean, with some simple amenities. The message with instructions for the Inn was very detailed and helpful. The customer service was responsive and helpful when I called to solve some issues. Despite the issues we encountered, we would definitely stay here again.
When we booked the room, we didn't know it was an "airbnb-style" model, with no on-site staff. We learned that when we got the instructions a few days before our arrival. We arrived at the building and immediately noticed that the lockbox for our unit (and the other units) was open with no key. We called customer service, and they said that the cleaning staff must not have put the keys back, and they helped us locate a back-up set of keys to get into the building. I'm not sure what the other guests did, as the keys were not replaced until the next afternoon. We also noticed the next morning that there were no coffee pods to use in the coffee maker. We got some later that afternoon when the cleaning staff finally arrived. The only other thing is that while the deck is really great, it's not clear to non-guests that it's private, and we (and other guests) were approached several times by non-guests who came onto the deck to interact with us, or they came to hang out at one of the tables. The Inn looks like a public building in Canal park and non-guests are naturally curious to learn more about, and it is an enticing place to hang out. I think some additional signage and messaging overall could be very helpful.
