Sleeping Arrangements: * Master Bedroom - king bed * Bedroom 2- king bed * Bedroom 3- king bed * Lower level daybed in common space- 2 twin beds Main Level: * Living Room * Kitchen * Outdoor dining space that seats 6 with electric fireplace * All 3 bedrooms with king size beds * Bathroom with walk-in shower Lower Level: * Second living room with TV * Wooden game table with chess, checkers and more in addition to board & card games * Bathroom with walk-in shower * Daybed in common space with 2 twin beds * Walk-out to enclosed patio with additional refrigerator * Walk-out to deck with propane grill and additional dining table * Please Note: We run a dehumidifier for the lower level. Outdoors: * Private dock with cleats to tie your own boat or boat rental * Clean deep water for swimming off dock * Great base for water skiing and lake lounging- located just off the main channel More Information: *Check in is after 4PM. Nicest house in the area, nicely decorated and perfect for families. We lucked out with almost 90 degree weather so we grilled and swam. Great communication from start to finish. Great alternative to Marion or Carbondale. We’ll be back!

Our first impression was a bit rocky but the property manager jumped in and helped get everything straightened out right away. Such a beautiful lakefront home. Having the boat available to rent is a huge perk! Great sightseeing within 30 minutes of the house.

I found this cottage to be nothing short of pure comfort and delight. You are welcomed in a foyer stocked with beautiful dishes, wine glasses and a coffee bar. The kitchen was very well stocked. All 3 King size beds were very comfortable. You can enjoy the outdoors in the screened in area or the deck. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful house. Well cleaned. Nice lake access. We are swimmers and had great swims each day. We enjoyed the inflatable water toys available including a kayak. There is a noisy but friendly neighbor.

My family and I had the best time at this beautiful home tucked in along Lake of Egypt. (Kids ages 15, 11, and 10) Check-in was easy. We unloaded everything and I headed back out for grocery pick up in Marion. It was only a 20-25 minute drive back to town. We loved the easy access to the lake right off the dock. The swim mat was gone when we arrived, but the owner saved the day for the kids by purchasing a new one and delivering it to the house. The shed also contained other floats for adults and kids. I loved that the water was deep off the dock! We rented the pontoon boat one day, which was fun. For lunch, we ate at Egyptian Hills resort. They had pizza, salads, and shakes. It was great not to have to pack all the food on the boat. My favorite time of day was sunrise! There’s nothing like quiet time, sunrise, a book, a cup of coffee, and that lake view! My family and I would hands down stay here again. We already miss it!

Property was very well maintained and very clean with Beautiful lake views and access. We had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. The weather was looking sketchy and this property had everything we needed, screened in porch, games, separate spaces to watch TV, little nooks to read. It was perfect! And the weather turned out to be better than expected so we did use the entire property! We will be back!!!

All I can say is this was one of the best vacations my husband and I had. The place was very clean. The pictures do not do the place justice. It was beautiful with beautiful views. There is not one bad thing I can say about this place. It was absolutely stunning. The property manager was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!!

This is a great property on the shore of Lake Egypt. The house is beautiful and well equipped. There is nothing like waking each morning to beautiful lake views from the large picture window in bedroom! Will defiantly stay here again when in Southern Illinois

This was a “last minute anniversary got good test results after a protracted health scare” get away. This location was SO nice. Nothing bad can be said. Communication was excellent. There were so many ways to enjoy the water and the view. We were blessed with beautiful weather so we could be outside. The bed in the water facing bedroom was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in at a VRBO property. Lots and lots of space if you have a big party. Pet friendly property. Marion is much closer than it seems. We had everything we needed and couldn’t have had a nicer stay. Thank you SO much Allison for giving us such a wonderful space to celebrate our anniversary and positive health news after a very long wait! Your willingness and ability to accommodate a last minute booking is most appreciated.

The French Country Cabin was exactly as described and even prettier in person. Although the sun did not come out much while we were there, the cabin was the perfect place to relax when it was raining. The views are beautiful, especially when eating our meals on the screened in porch. The lily pad was fun to use and we enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching the sunset. At your suggestion, we had a great meal at the Vault for lunch in Marion and hiked in both Ferne Clyffe State Park and Giant City State Park. Thanks for sharing your home with us for the perfect "dog friendly" family getaway!

This cottage was great and was beautifully decorated and recently updated. Everything was clean and well-kept. The morning view overlooking the lake from the dining porch was so serene. Not much flat yard space and maybe 30+ steps to get down to the pier, but was perfect for my young family and active kids.
