Room was no frills and rather expensive for what you got but room and bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable

This place was perfect for what we needed. We spent most of our day sightseeing and used the room for showering and sleeping. The balcony was a bonus. We enjoyed sitting in the balcony enjoying nature.
We asked for an extra blanket at 10:30om
and the manager gave us a blanket and was very happy to be of service.
I'll definitely consider staying here again.

As of Oct 2, there was no breakfast. Pool & Spa were closed. And the main hotel was just dirty.
The room was passable.

The entire property is in need of updating and upgrading. The carpets are dirty and worn in the hallways. I had a difficult time getting the heater in my room to work and had to get the manager to start it, and when he did, he told me to keep the bathroom door closed so the heat wouldn't escape!

Bed was great but the rest of the hotel was pretty shady… wreaked of pot smell all through the corridor… loud music coming from one room, thankfully only for a couple hours…

I don’t think it is ok to advertise that the rate includes breakfast when it doesn’t. It violates consumer laws. The hotel is not accessible to persons with disabilities and therefore is not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The property needs update.

Very outdated. Tub doesn’t drain, so it’s like showering in a bath. Neither of the two lamps work, so we sat in a dark room the whole night. Old and perpetually dirty. Hair in the shower, animal hair on the bath mat. For $111, I don’t expect great amenities but I do expect cleanliness, draining shower and working lamps.

Desk guy incredibly rude and abrasive . Hotel run down, guests not allowed to use most of the doors, incredibly inconvenient to take luggage in and out. Hotel itself stunk, dirty rags everywhere, carpets disgusting. Worst hotel stay we've had in years.

It was nice to be so close to the Beartooth Highway.

Everything was good

Your typical old hotel that needs work. No pets allowed. Only one way in the hotel. Lots of rules. Pricing a little high for that hotel but maybe okay in Montana pricing.
2.0
Comfortable and clean with an adequate breakfast.

Could use some upgrades and friendlier staff. Breakfast was limited and could use some variety.

Staff is very friendly. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast is basic.

Person at desk hard to understand due to heavy accent. Eastern Europe maybe?? Room had no safety bars in bathroom and wheelchair didn’t fit through BR door. No handicap parking provided and we pushed the WC a block to get to entrance. We locked ourselves out of our room and at the desk we had to call manager and we were told we would have to wait as he was in the shower, this was about 2pm on Saturday. Room was clean and bed comfy.

Generally unkept glass in the entry door needs replacing.

The person checking us in was super slow. The room was nice, freezer needed defrosting. Breakfast was minimal. One of our friends had to change rooms because the a/c wasn’t working.

Best value in Red Lodge. Clean. Great service

It is a motel in a small tourist town. Old but clean. Nothing special. The spa was broken during our stay.

For one night it was ok. Definitely needs updating. Things didn't smell clean. Water pressure was great. Was quiet and liked having a smaller property. The desk clerk was not friendly and took a long time to come to the front desk. Beds were comfortable. For the price, $152, I would expect a better breakfast snd room

The hotel is showing its age. The room was quiet and comfortable. The clerk at the front desk was obnoxious. Our key quit working 2 times on the same day and he told us it was our fault and needed to take better care of it and there would be no one around after 10:00pm if it happened then and we could just sleep in our car. As we walked up to our room after the 2nd episode the lady staying across the hall from us said it had happened to her 6 times in the past 5 days. The hotel is easily walkable to the main shopping and dining area and has some parking. The side doors are not functioning.

The motel was in an odd area of town, but for the price of the room that’s what I’d expected. The room was clean.

We only stayed here one night as we couldnt find anywhere else. Bates hotel could have done better!
The greeting was non welcoming and room keycard handed to us in a recycled crumpled cardboard holder. Entry and hallway needed a vacuum. Our room had two beds, both poorly made up with stains on pillowcases and valance on one bed. Pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. Mirrrors, pictures and railings all dusty. Base of bath dirty. Towels supplied were stacked and damp still from laundry.
Breakfast was simple and barely acceptable
Rubbish behind pot plant in dining room.
Man at reception didn’t get off his chair or phone when we handed in room key at departure. What a dump.
Would return to Red lodge but stay elsewhere.

Not bad for the price. Continental breakfast sucked.

One night stay in Red Lodge. The desk person was not friendly and seemed put out when asked for any service. Overall not a pleasant person. Location was good, rooms were ok, shower curtain was moldy. Pool area had minimal lighting and hot tub out of order. Breakfast was terrible…milk was expired and when we asked for fresh milk, we’re told no. I would not stay there again.

The management was friendly, but this property could benefit from an investment in the facility. For example, the weight room needs new equipment, the mattresses are very old, and the breakfast options were very limited (For example, there were no juices or cooked food, just cereal and muffins.) That being said, it was the least expensive place in town.

Located in a residential quiet area… very good. More difficult to find brcsuse if the location.

The front desk employee is not a pleasant person. I stayed here on two different occasions a week apart. During the first interaction he was very rude, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he was having a bad day. The following week he was worse. In addition for getting angry at me for booking through Expedia (apparently he doesn't like it), he continued to yell at me long after I asked if I could just check in and go to my room. The cleaning staff was very friendly, and the room was clean. Unfortunately, during the second stay, I had a room that joined with another room. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the drunk men come back at 1am yelling profanities. If you can, ask for a room that doesn't join with another.

Employee at the front desk wasn’t very present. Trouble with the keys working and was rude when he was notified.

Nice job. We would return if the opportunity presents itself. Thanks!

Terrible!! Refused to give me a receipt. First words out of mouth was give me your credit card. Hot tub and sauna out of order. Breakfast was cold cereal and stale doughnuts. Would not recommend or stay here again. Would sleep in my car first!!

Staff was rude. Public areas were dirty. We ate breakfast elsewhere because it was just cereal, a jug of milk, and dry breads on a very dirty counter.

Carpet in breakfast area was pretty.
