Pillows and bed were terrible

Could have a rug at door for shoes. Very clean and ready

I would not recommend this MOTEL. The pictures are definitely doctored and filtered. There are no elevators, only outdoor stairs. There is no pool, only a small caged in jacuzzi right next to the highway. The staff was less than excited to help.

Great option for walking into town. Clean and comfortable

The property is a little on the older side but we had a room with 2 kings and a pull out couch and it was spacious.

Clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.

The air conditioning doesn’t work. They say with a notice on the wall in the room in the room that it’s plus or minus 5 degrees from 72, which means it’s at least 77 degrees in here in June. It also says that you have to call without getting in the bed but by the time you realize it’s never getting cooler it’s too late. They have a large electric fan in the room so they KNOW it’s hot. I went to call the office but the phone doesn’t work at all. This motel is not for travelers or families.

It has all the basics for a reasonable price!

The walls are miserably paper thin. I could hear conversations, blow dryers, even toilets flushing. I had a family of 7 (2 adults 5 kids) roll into the next door room at 11pm and the absolute commotion was not handled by staff. I asked to move rooms, which I was able to thankfully, very little vacancy here, but was told I would have to pay the difference...luckily I didnt have to. Right in front of the main drag in Durango so if you need sleep or rest or are a easily woken, dont stay here. Staff was friendly, rooms felt fairly clean, and the free coffee and simple breakfast offerings were nice.

This place really needs an update. The room was clean but dark and cold. We were told that as of May, the heat is turned off and the air conditioning is turned on. They should look at the weather instead of the calendar when deciding to turn the heat off.

Great value. Loved the location - easy access to walk or drive to downtown. Gentleman working the Front Desk was great - friendly, helpful, and professional. Added bonus that it is pretty friendly, and doesn't charge a huge pet fee. Def recommend!

Breakfast option is very limited. only orange juice, apple juice, milk, Waffle, muffins, yogurt, cereal, instant oatmeal. Coffee & tea

It was just okay. I thought it was overpriced. $80 a night would have been adequate. I'm going to look for a better place to stay next time. I paid $130 a night I think I can find a better place for that kind of money

It was convenient to downtown Durango.
Old hotel but was in good condition.
Breakfast was fair, not much choice of options.

An older property, and the rates generally reflect that. Cleanliness was better than average, a positive highlight. Comfort was compromised; the property has what might be an original heating/cooling system. As such, the system can't cool until switched over from heating to cooling. I has there in April on a warm day in a west-facing room and the room was 75-78 deg at 10 pm. A box fan was available in-room and only that made the room bearable, the biggest negative to the room comfort.

The room was too hot and the a/c didnt work. It was also loud because other guests were yelling and banging on the wrong door before 6am and also has their tvs up really loud after 11 (which isnt necessarily the hotels fault). The breakfast also wasnt that great. We have stayed at the other Econo Lodge in Grand Junction and that is SO MUCH better. I recommend that one instead.

It was clean, bathroom was a little questionable but the room size was great! The lock/card swipe on the door was sketchy but we didn’t leave our room all night so it ended up not being an issue for us. The curtains in our room had/have mold spots on them from the condensation on the windows. The breakfast was surprisingly good! I do wish they had at least two waffle makers so there isn’t an uncomfortably long line but it was worth the wait. We would actually stay again, it was very comfortable.

Happy that we booked this room in advance. Upon arriving there was no vacancy. Our room had its own parking spot in front of the door right off the road. Best value for the space. Pet friendly, reasonable fee. New flooring and bedding. Bathroom had clear glass blocks in window. Shower lever barely working-maybe maintenance person will fix soon? Breakfast: waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins, juice, coffee, tea.

Ok. Middle of town, equidistant to surrounding attractions. Clean, nice friendly staff.

This hotel surpassed my expectations, especially since the price was so good. The hot tub was clean and felt so good at the end of the day. The breakfast choices were top notch and very yummy. We'll definitely be back!

We liked the room and the good breakfast.
We didn't like that the snow hadn't been removed from our parking place.
Also some other residents stood outside talking loudly at bedtime.

I would greatly appreciate it in the future if the econo lodge would provide info on what they don’t have. For example I am a big football fan and if I had known that their tv’s and Internet haven’t worked since the storm hit over a week ago I would have stayed elsewhere. I believe it is simple etiquette and good business practice to provide updates amd be honest with customers up front.

While staying here we had problems with our keycards, and they fixed it each time. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. Thank you everyone who worked here and for being so kind.

Very welcoming, Steve and his staff were awesome. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast being included was a huge plus. Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the cooling and heating systems with wall units. Our room was extremely warm, even with the temp being around 30 degrees outside. Aside from that, I would definitely stay again!

Good price. Clean. Wish the hot tub was enclosed. Too cold outside to use

Overall it was okay. We stayed for 2 nights for the polar express. Great location. Breakfast was okay. Guest service was kind and helpful. Building/room is old, but it is okay. What we didn't like was the Cleanliness or lack of. The floors and one of the beds had dog hair all over. Not a few here and there, but like lots. Mixed with women's long hair. We did not sleep in that bed. The rest was dusty. Only the bathroom was clean. Other than the lack of cleanliness, the stay was okay.

Love this spot, but there are people living there full time who can be noisy at times.

We never checked in. Pulled into the parking lot and saw what appeared to be inappropriate activity in the parking lot, a man walking with an off-leash very large dog and dirty property. We found somewhere else to stay. Pics on the website for this location are VERY deceiving. Beware.
